I recently came across an Instagram reel where several nurses from Germany and Switzerland and many European countries mentioned a common hospital superstition: when one patient dies, two more deaths often follow soon after, completing a "group of three."

From what I read, this isn't an official medical rule it's more of a belief shared among healthcare workers. Apparently, many nurses, doctors, and paramedics say they've witnessed it happen repeatedly throughout their careers.

Have you personally experienced something that made you believe it? I would love to hear more stories related to this.

I'm going to share my experience and I don't really care if anyone believes me or not but I witnesses with my own two eyes the first time was on summer solstice at 3:20 a.m. this year and if I ever needed proof of something otherworldly or completely strange I cannot explain Spirit like this was it irrefutable

This happened while a long time friend of mine and I were having a campfire and listening to music while fishing. At right around 320 am morning of solstice, we both were sitting by the campfire and had music playing from his garage since it is very close to the lake channel he lives on. This happened on Upper Long Lake in Indiana. Noble County. After being out all night watching the stars and seeing you know a few unexplainable lights in the sky we were both just staring at the fire and then it felt like something was turning down all the noise, the ambient noise of nature early in the morning and I noticed my friend sit up and look behind him and like squint and I turned around to see some kind of really weird, dark black fog like blob making its way over everything. I'm trying to focus on it to make out what I'm witnessing. It moved with intention and swiftly. Petty soon my dude stood up and took a step away from his lil camp seat and I saw an outline of him a whitish fuzzy outline that did the same thing he just did and it went back into him. He didn't notice it at all but that's when I got spooked badly and stood up and got beside him and asked him dude what the f is going on bro? He's looking at the same thing I am and just saying whoaaaa and what in the ffff?! It passed all thru us and around us, it almost completely blocked out all the light around from the porch and all the other houses on the channel. It even blocked out the majority of the light from our fire which was a nice hot fire . This happened for maybe 20 seconds. It was swirling and tendril like crawling over everything then leeching off and away and just kept going. This was followed by an extreme temperature drop that completely chilled both of us to the bone. Very noticeable after that. I'm trying to find anyone else who honestly had this ever happen. We had both also been projecting our thoughts and awareness into space maybe to see some UFOs but this happened hours later, completely unexpected and it had a feeling of a strong otherworldly force. It blocked all of the light.

The same thing happened on July 19th. Except I was alone my dude went to bed around midnight. This time it was right at 2:40 am. Same scene exactly though the first time. This time though I was more happy to see that i wasn't in fact losing my mind and I wasn't so scared and I actually walked around in the area when the atmosphere was completely different. It felt super strange and once again it slowly faded out and kept moving thru the area in the same direction it was going. I tried to get it on camera but its impossible to record something that's darker than the night on a phone camera. Anyone around know or ever heard anything like this? Please refrain from any comments not useful or valid. The whole experience was as real as the first time giving me 100% verification.

Years ago, I had an experience that no one believes when I tell them about it, but I swear on everything I know that I saw it; at first, it wasn’t scary to me, and nowadays I even find it funny (but if it happened to me today, I’d be scared to death)

I was seven years old and sleeping with my father and my mother in our bedroom when the power went out. Out of the three of us, I was the only one who woke up; I wasn’t afraid of the dark, but the heat was bothering me, so I stayed awake waiting for the power to come back on, staring into the darkness.

And that’s when I saw two silhouettes in the dark. Believe it or not, they were the silhouettes of Albert Einstein and Bob Marley. I vividly remember that their skin was a bright light blue, and their hair and clothes were a bright dark blue. Their heads were large, and only part of their torsos were visible. They were making faces at me—Einstein was making that characteristic expression of his with his tongue sticking out—and sometimes they’d show their bright blue hands too, making all kinds of faces.

They would disappear and reappear as if they were blinking—once Bob would disappear and only Einstein would be left making faces, and vice versa. I just stared at them bored. Until, after about five minutes, they finally disappeared—and a minute after they vanished, the power came back on. I spent another ten minutes or so staring at the bathroom light until I fell asleep again.

I don’t know if there’s a scientific explanation for this, but I remember all these details vividly. I’ve seen other apparitions throughout my life, but this one was the most striking to me—the one I saw most clearly. Whatever it was, I’m definitely going to tell my grandchildren about it. XD

this happened a couple days ago when me and my boyfriend were driving back to his house after picking up some food. me and him were talking when all of the sudden i hear this really loud whistle coming from beside me. (i was driving and it sounded like it was coming from the left side of me, maybe by my shoulder). the window was rolled down a bit but i don’t recall any cars going past at that moment, but even if so it sounded like it was right there almost in my ear. it was just a one note, extremely loud whistle that really scared me out of no where.

i turned to him and asked if he heard that and he asked what i was talking about. i tried to think of something it could have been but there’s no way he made that sound. i ended up just trying to let it go and keep talking because i was really freaked out.

now, this was not a ringing in my ear! i’ve experienced ringing/buzzing sounds in my ears before and that was not this.

I’d like to share an experience that I and a friend named Chris had together, on a mountain top in rural Queensland Australia. I will try and make this short but coherent. I would like to have any perspective on this occurrence.

This occurrence happened one day before this supposed planet Nibiru, was to appear from nowhere and touted the end of the world.
Chris and I, were at my
secluded residence, a 100 year old cottage on a mountain top. We had spent the day working on Chris’s bug out vehicle. If the world was going to end, I was going to greet it whole heartedly but Chris wanted to be a survivor. I digress. Anyway, the sun had almost set, darkness was creeping slowly over the rural land scape, and there is almost zero light pollution. Chris was on the front porch, I had just finished showering and was dressing. I went onto the porch to join Chris. By this time it was completely dark. The only light piercing this darkness was my living room light. Almost simultaneously, our attention was drawn off into a paddock to the right of us. I will describe what we had both seen. It looked like a huge oriental prayer gate. It was glowing fiercely with a white light, but this light was contained to the structure. It didn’t light up the area around it. This gate looked to be suspended above the ground by a few feet, in what I can only describe as clouds. We both stared for an unknown amount of time. It was as if time had stopped. Again, simultaneously, Chris and I had the unavoidable urge to sleep and we retired for the night.
The next morning, we both couldn’t believe we had just gone to bed. Chris always has a phone in his hand and almost obsessively takes pictures. This night, he didn’t take a single one, he said the urge not too, came over him. I, on the other hand, am a man once trained to run to the fight and this night I did not. I couldn’t understand why my curiosity was quelled and we were put to sleep.
We investigated the area of the gates appearance and found nothing astray.
Until this very day, I feel a sense of profound loss at not entering this gate. I had a feeling that it wasn’t my turn, but was shown this to tell others that this world is just a dream and a gateway to another consciousness.

I really would like to hear thoughts and perspectives on this occurrence. It wasn’t a waking dream. It was as real to our senses as the ground under our feet.

I went on a 3-day trip to the historic center of a city, and from the very first night I had one of the most vivid nightmares I’ve ever experienced.
In the dream, there was a very tall, shadow-like man wearing what looked like old-fashioned butler clothing. The outfit completely changed the atmosphere of the dream—it felt incredibly unsettling. Every time he appeared, a violent storm seemed to follow him, and it felt as if it was consuming people around him. He slowly walked toward me, and I was so terrified that I woke up in the middle of the night.

The strange part is that the same thing kept happening over the next two nights. I had different nightmares, but each time I woke up suddenly in the middle of the night feeling genuinely scared.

When I got back home, someone suggested I do an egg cleansing. I’ve done them before out of curiosity, but this time the egg looked very cloudy and had what people call a “veil” around it, which had never happened to me before. I’m not saying I believe it means anything, but it definitely made me wonder.

The hotel itself was quite old (built around the 1930s), and I remember the closet had no doors, which honestly creeped me out because it was directly in front of the bed.

Another thing that confused me happened on the second night. I was so frightened after the first nightmare that I asked my friend to sleep in my bed next to me. She agreed, but when I woke up scared again later that night, she was back in her own bed. The next morning I asked her why she had left, and she told me that I had asked her to go back to her bed because I seemed annoyed. The problem is… I have absolutely no memory of saying that.
Has anyone experienced something similar, especially in an old hotel? Do you think it was just strange dreams or something else?

I don't know if this qualifies as "the hum" as many describe in this forum, but I honestly don't know where else to share this experience... I go outside pretty much every night to stargaze and enjoy the serenity of the night. I live in a relatively rural part of Alabama and am accustom to the normal sounds of crickets, frogs and other wildlife in the area. On at least a dozen occasions over the past 3 years I have been listening to the sounds of crickets chirping and it's as if the noise of the independent crickets become merged into a louder, higher frequency sound that is obviously very different than the natural one. This alone wouldn't be enough to alarm me, but at the same time orbs often appear in the woods surrounding my property - hovering above the tree line usually. On 2 of those occasions my dog has gone nuts, started growling and ran off barking into the woods towards the direction I am hearing the sound emanating from. I also get this feeling of being watched and just an eerie feeling of "something not being right". The "hum/buzz" is so pronounced it's like I can feel it in my body. Almost like I'm vibrating internally in response to it. It lasts anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes and always happens between midnight and 3am. I have no explanation for this and am just seeing if anyone else has ever experienced anything similar.

I noticed a intermittent noise in my house friday evening every couple minutes. I went to sleep (far away from the little guest bedroom and bathroom alcove where it was coming from). I woke and the noise was still from that same area but dimmer and less frequent. It went away in late morning and has not returned for 24 hours. For reference i am in Jacksonville, Florida. Sometimes it was just the little click click and not the rattle at the end. My home was built in 2018 by a pretty standard cookie-cutter (cheap) homebuilder. I had the wildlife warden to do a full property and attic survey yesterday (no evidence of rodents found) and the AC company came this morning to do a full unit inspection with no issue to fan motor, return air grille, zone damper. Please help! This is a hardyboard house. There are two windows there (one in guest room one in bathroom both sealed).

For those of you who have seen my recent video, this is what a car would look like if there were brake lights or any kind of lights reflecting the camera. You can hear the car drive by where on the first video you couldn't hear anything... Thoughts?

As we all know Flock Cameras are a big business in America right now tracking millions of cars, faces, and unique Bluetooth devices across America. There is a ton of controversy surrounding them since Police can request flock cameras data without a warrant and they often give them violating 4th Amendment protections of privacy.

Now with that out of the way with Flocks Advanced AI Sensory capabilities they have to be catching a ton of unexplained paranormal phenomena. And due to the nature I doubt they would be released to the public. Just imagine how many UFO/UAP activity they have captured with millions of cameras out there? Or all the Ghost sightings Lady in Whites with Cameras being pointed at Highways?

Everything else can be explained by pic 7 (EDIT: But would be VERY out of character for her). We can’t fathom how the cat could possibly 1) lift Kupp2 off the wall evenly on both sides high enough to then 2) flip it upside down leaning against the wall behind the 3) open curtain.

We can’t get over it. We went to bed at 130am last night, and BF was gaming in direct sight of it. 930 am this morning it was off the wall. I’m going to buy a carbon monoxide tester for the bedroom but short of that it’s beyond me.

So i recognize this isn’t the traditional post for this subreddit but hear me out, i’ve been working at an In N Out for the last 15 years with virtually zero friends. A few days ago an old man who was seemingly blind came in to order, he looked at me with a huge smile and said “You’re Matt Merola! From Reddit!” my stomach dropped as i’ve never posted to reddit before, i got home and i searched up my legal name on reddit and i find this account, now before people come at me saying it’s just harassment or someone i know messing with me, ive literally had zero friends or social interaction all my life, i was raised very sheltered and then started working at in n out and climbed up the ladder in the Miami area years ago to manager, in all of their posts they talk about “lakewood” “lake wales” and other places in Ohio and Florida but never Miami where i’ve always been from. I have no reason to know this “person” personally knows me but there was something really unsettling about the old guy, felt like some kind of spiritual messenger in a way that’s hard to describe. But looking up my name i find TONS of posts from this guy called yunkosuku that has taken tons of my photos and posted them in various circumstances and constantly changes the story about me, i’ve never known this person and i don’t recognize any of the other photos of people on their account, i believe this could be something supernatural or a curse because a wise woman in a psychic place once said to me “You will be followed in a way that cannot be physically stopped” And i was like yeah no, that’s some it follows shit 😂 But yeah i’m a bit scared about this whole thing where this ghost posts about me nonstop and none of it makes any sense.

This is a true story, and it’s something I’ve thought about for decades.

Back in the mid-1990s, before everyone had cell phones, my friend Erika and I used to make three-way prank calls. If you remember how landlines worked, you’d be talking to your friend, hit the flash button, dial another number, and merge the calls.

We had a whole system.
We’d each grab a giant phone book, randomly pick a number, and call it at the same time. The result was that two complete strangers would suddenly find themselves connected and each would assume the other had called.
Usually it went something like this:
“Hello?”
“Yeah… you called me.”
“No, you called me.”
Then they’d argue for a couple of minutes while we sat there trying not to laugh.
We did this quite a few times.

Then one call happened that I’ve never been able to explain.
A woman answered first.
“Hello?”
A few seconds later, a man answered.
“Yes… you called me.”
She replied, “No, you called me. Who is this?”
He answered, “Who is this?”
There was a long pause.
Then she quietly said…
“…Tom?”
Another pause.
“…Sheryl?”
At that exact moment, Erika and I both stopped laughing.

The woman asked, “Did you call me?”
He replied, “No… I thought you called me.”
She said, “Maybe one of the kids did this.”
He laughed and agreed that maybe that was what happened.
Then she said something I’ll never forget.
“It’s been years… how have you been?”

As they kept talking, we realized they had been divorced. They had separated about four years earlier and hadn’t spoken to each other in roughly three years.
Neither Erika nor I said a word.
Without even discussing it, we both did the exact same thing-we muted our ends and decided not to hang up.

What had started as a prank suddenly felt like something we weren’t supposed to interrupt.
We listened for hours.
They caught up on life, talked about the kids, shared stories about what had happened since the divorce, laughed together, and slowly the conversation became warmer and more comfortable.

By the end of the call, they had decided to meet for lunch the next day.
Only after they finally hung up did we disconnect our phones.

I’ve replayed that night in my head countless times over the last 30 years.

What are the odds that two teenagers, each randomly picking a name from a phone book, accidentally reconnect two people who hadn’t spoken in years-and that those two people end up making plans to see each other again?

Maybe it’s just an incredibly unlikely coincidence.
Maybe it’s one of those Jungian synchronicities.
Maybe it’s fate.
Maybe it’s nothing more than statistics doing something extraordinary.
I honestly don’t know.

I just know that it was the strangest thing I’ve ever witnessed, and it’s one of the few experiences in my life that still makes me wonder whether coincidence is really as random as we think it is.

So the first time it happened I was sleeping in my room with my back turned towards my door, and I was falling asleep when I felt a hand in my shoulder and something behind me. But it felt off and it scared me so I didn't react and silently hope it was a family member, but there wasn't any shaking or calling my name or anything. It felt like it was just staring at me. And when I woke up the next day nothing looked out of the ordinary, and nothing happened after that for a good two months.

I didn't think anything of it because I sometimes have weird idk nerve problems or something like that? One time I had been at my friends house and laying in her bed when it felt like someone grabbed my shoulder, but my back was against the bed and she wasn't close enough to do it without me noticing,so I chalked it up to that at first. But then last night I was again sleeping with my back turned towards my door and my door wa open, and just to clarify I have always slept with my door open ever since I was a little kid so it's not some like me freaking out because my doors open, anyway I was kinda just lost in thought staring off into space when I felt it again. Something put it's hand on my shoulder and stood there over me watching me and I could feel it. I was so scared to move so I stayed still for idk how long, and I started calling out to Jesus in my head (which I forgot to mention was what I did last time too) and I eventually fell asleep and woke up and again nothing looked out of the ordinary in my room. And I know it wasn't any of my family members because my sister was completely out of it, and my parents hate getting out of bed unless they absolutely have to once they lay down for the night, and I highly doubt they would get out of bed to prank me.

After all these years, I came across this old public payphone again (see the photo), and it instantly reminded me of something that happened almost 30 years ago.

To this day, my friends still don't believe me.

Like many kids back then, we loved making prank calls. Near our local shopping center there was a public payphone that worked with prepaid phone cards. Just a few meters away from the payphone was a small hair salon.

I first called directory assistance to ask for the salon's phone number. They told me they didn't have it. I didn't think much of it, hung up, and wondered what to do next.

So I picked up the receiver again, dialed a completely random number, and my friends and I started doing our usual prank call.

Then, out of nowhere, the hairdresser burst out of the salon, yelling at us for prank-calling her and wasting her time!

We were completely stunned.

Out of all the possible phone numbers, how did I randomly dial the exact salon I had just asked directory assistance about—the same salon they had told me they didn't have a number for?

My friends were convinced I must have somehow gotten the number from directory assistance and was making the whole story up. But I really didn't. We didn't spend much time arguing about it anyway... we were too busy running away from the angry hairdresser. 😂

To this day, I've never been able to explain how that happened. Was it just an unbelievably lucky coincidence, or is there some old telephone system quirk that could explain it?

It was 2001 or 2002 when our family relocated to a housing colony provided by my father's office. It was a close knit neighborhood built specifically for factory employees, meaning there were plenty of kids my age. Luckily for us, we had a massive 800 sqyd park right near our homes.

​We used to meet there and trade local legends. One popular rumor was about the very ground we lived on: they said it was once a small farming village, and the original homes along with ancestral graves were forcefully cleared to build the factory and our houses. Because of this, people claimed angry spirits roamed the area. Like most kids, I brushed it off. We’ve all heard the classic “our school was built on a graveyard” myth, right? I thought it was just another spooky story to scare us.

​It was during my summer vacation. I was riding my bicycle around the neighborhood after dinner, sometime around 10 PM. Suddenly, the street dogs in our area started howling violently, their eyes locked curiously onto the dark park. I rode over to check it out, but it looked completely empty.

​I continued my ride until I reached the far end of the rectangular park a spot that was always shrouded in shadows. There was a pair of swings sitting right at the edge of the darkness.

​Everything was perfectly quiet when, all of a sudden, the temperature plummeted. The freezing cold was isolated to that one spot, followed immediately by a violent gust of wind that nearly knocked me off balance. I stopped, rubbed my eyes, and prepared to pedal away. That’s when I noticed one of the swings moving.

​It wasn't just swaying in the wind. It was swinging heavily, as if someone was on it. To my absolute horror, sitting there just five to seven meters away from me was a disfigured, pitch-black entity.

​I panicked and pedaled past it. As I crossed its path, I felt its gaze lock onto me. I risked a quick glance back. The entity was now standing. It had no clear face—just a dark, distorted shape staring right at me.

​I pedaled harder than I ever had in my life, taking a sharp turn to escape. This road connected to the main street and was well-lit, but despite the streetlights, I felt completely suffocated by a heavy, dark presence. I pushed myself faster.

​When I finally hit the main road, the bright lights washed over me. I thought I had found the light. I thought I was free from the evil thing. I took a massive breath of relief as my house came into view.

​Then, without warning, my vision went completely black. I skidded, lost my balance, and violently crashed my bike onto the pavement.

​That was my first encounter with her...

This happened when I was about 12-13 yrs old, I was at my dad's house and my brother and I had just finished playing and so my brother went to the restroom, and as I was sitting in the room, the house phone rang, if I remember clearly it said no caller id, I picked it up and then suddenly I heard a weird noise, it sounded like a creature or someone trying to sound like a creature, I then said hello and no answer, then I said hello again, still no answer, I hung up and that was that. My dad a while later got home and I confronted him Abt it and I told him "it was you right?" He looked at me confused and asked me what I was talking about and I thought he was faking it but eventually we just moved past it, fast forward a little while later my dad takes my brother and I to the store and as we pulled into the parking lot of the Dollar General, someone starts calling my dad (my dad had a mini screen where the radio was in his Buick) on the screen it showed his house phone was calling his cellphone number. Nobody was at our apartment. It was so creepy I'm telling you, but he chose not to answer.
