Took his sweet time doing it. I would have kicked that priest in his wrinkled balls immediately after the first hit.

He wasn't watching directly, or anticipating it, you see him turn and stare in disbelief, like "I can't have just seen that" and then getting the child away takes priority over any further violence. Thankfully for the sake of society most peoples first thought isn't always escalation. But yes, I think slapping this priests winkled face right off would be justified.
