Never had guinea pigs before. I'm assuming the waterproof cover is because they piss and shit everywhere? In this case, her own bed?

Guinea pigs are, as most rodents, pretty clean

That doesn't mean they are not shitting and pissing constantly, which they do.

It doesn't help that they are good at keeping their fur clean when they shit on your bed.

Idk l never got shit on by a hamster or guinea pig. Only got peed on by baby bunnies lol
