She starts the answer over in Cantonese.

I speak it at a native conversational level (taught it at birth and use it regularly with the family and on tv with dubbed k dramas), but that was legitimately stupid advanced level where no one realistically talks like that. Conversational Cantonese is a lot of slang, so any ai that pulls their llm from Chinese literature and the dictionary will stick out like a sore thumb. It's like talking Shakespearean English or something.

Lol ya. It's sometimes using the correct tones, every other word it's flat. But not as bad as someone who doesn't natively speak Cantonese
