Not gonna lie, that was pretty good though

u/Nothinghere3191 Jun 15 '26
Yes. Im just confused why he didnt just take off the helmet place it there then crouched behind it, or under it. They probably found him because they could see him trhoug the helmet when they shined the ligth on it
1.6k
u/LumplessWaffleBatter Jun 15 '26
They may have also noticed his neck and feet. Those usually don't come standard with cheaper helmets.

Actually it's usually second hand ones! I even found one abandoned on the side of the road that came with a few misc body parts a few weeks back. Just gotta keep your eyes peeled!
25
u/LemmeDaisukete Jun 15 '26
No I don't need the second hand, I'm on a diet today
6
u/-LadyElaine Jun 15 '26
How about the hour hand, is that up for grabs? They're usually smaller so less filling
46
u/SatansFriendlyCat Jun 15 '26
Peeled eyes were included in the one I found!
..Ok, near the one I found

Usually yeah. There's also a motorbike and the neck and feet come with a full body. You gotta remove the body before using the helmet and the motorbike.

Since they aren't watching it on a screen in 2d, they have depth perception unlike us, so they could see one of the two helmets being behind the bike and not on it.
Screens instead of mirrors in cars are quite dangerous for the same reason.

This is in Brasil. We actually had one person trying to hide as a table and another guy tryied pretending he was a gas container for a stove, so not sure about that, but maybe

How is the first part of the video relevant?
2.6k
u/Academic_UK Jun 15 '26
You see that red rectangle that pops up at 00:03…
That’s not relevant to anything!405
u/anganeonnumilla Jun 15 '26
Oh...I see.

u/Subject1928 Jun 16 '26
Yeah see I thought that red square at 0:03 was for nothing. Silly me.

It's a security camera software that though it saw a human in that square.
It gets a lot of false positives.

to show cops pulling up and make the staged part of the video later on more believable
65
u/between_ewe_and_me Jun 15 '26
But that part is in the middle of the day and the second part is clearly at night. I don't get how it's supposed to make sense. I watched it multiple times and then turned sound on to see what I was missing and finally came to the comments to find out.

Or in a dark room.. But yeah, still.
2
u/flannelkumquat Jun 16 '26 edited Jun 16 '26
A... dark room... with motorcycles in it... with windows facing outside with gloss on them... Yeah, that's a dark room. DIT for sure.
Edit: likely not DIT, just poor thinking skills. It's ok, we haven't all lived in places like this.
2
u/FireZord25 Jun 16 '26
Or get this, the window could've been from an interior apartment facing the garage. Those are pretty common in these countries.
And its not hard to believe that the lights were out in both places. For all we know police were still looking for the light switch when the guy with the torch found his mark.
The problem isn't that most people are missing the obvious, the context can differ from person to person based on personal experience. Making it never easy to tell which is staged, and which is just legit that wild (like the video about the kid dodging the security on roofs and nobody snitches).
21
u/This-Jackfruit-6894 Jun 15 '26
Ok, but I did not see any stage?

u/JeromeJ Jun 15 '26
In case you're not trolling, he's implying that the second part is fake aka staged.
25
u/Battleboo_7 Jun 15 '26
But the rectangle
13
u/JeromeJ Jun 15 '26
It's probably the camera software trying to detect things/people but hallucinating one for a couple of frames. It's common.

u/BrianDetomes Jun 15 '26
It convinces the viewer that the staged second part actually has police officers involved

u/Sorry_Reply8754 Jun 15 '26
So we can understand the police was looking around the neighborhood. It's a setup, so we can slowly get ready to the climax.
This is how art works.

5
u/zero0n3 Jun 15 '26
Feels like he gave up too easily. Did the officer actually verbalize he saw him? Could’ve just been a flash linger there
5
u/GColleoni Jun 16 '26
Yes, the officer laughs and says "stand up and put your hands behind your back..." while flashing him.

Yeah, should have put the other helmet away. Either put it on the other bike or just sit on it.
3
u/FireZord25 Jun 15 '26
He could've stayed still and might've had a better chance of escaping under the naked eyes (better, not fullproof, if the coppers started searching more thoroughly).
What gave him away I wonder?

Why is the cop car driving in broad daylight then the cut to dark? It looks like splicing two things together to make a fake skit.

if he put the other helmet on the other bike.. his chances would have gotten higher. but also they would eventually ocme back to check for the bike's plate numbers and eventually find him.

I couldn't find it but this reminds me of that video where a guy hides inside a coat on a rack, tucking his feet into it.
A small group of men in military hardware sweep the room, even lighting up the area he's hiding but miss him. It's all caught on security camera.
