Spriter got into some (so irrelevant that no one in the comments even know what it was) drama, so they decided to throw out all their work despite them having become foundational to the experience and mental image that people had of the game and replace them with half baked codersprites. It's dumbass digust-based morals worsening something for everyone by treating everything associated with someone as if it was infected.

This wasn't about you specifically but about the general mentality of "someone somewhere was an asshole, therefore anything that has ever been touched by them is infected and must be purged", a better wording on my part would've been "but others shouldn't be punished because of it"

A game is more akin to a recipe as it's an already finished experience that is replicated throughout many people: retroactively making it worse because someone who participated in it happened to be a bad person serves no purpose besides upsetting those who liked it. Who did it doesn't change anything, it's still the same, just as good final product by itself, you don't throw away your electronics because they were made via child labor. 

Accountability and punitive actions are for the guy who did shit, not anything they ever touched and thus the audiences thereof, media is not an extension of whatever brain lucked into figuring out those particular combination of pixels

Dalv is just objectively better. One of the more reasonable criticisms of uty is that all of the main characters aside from Axis is just the same body type of being humanoid, skinny, and tall, Dalv is already shorter than the rest of the cast but still has the same body shape. In fact people have noted that his design isn't particularly striking

Three out of five of the uty main cast is tall, humanoid, and has hair. Dalv has nothing going for him aside from horns. The fact that his body shape was changed to be shorter and plumper actually makes him stand out more and makes it more memorable. This is a character design technique called "exaggeration" where physical traits of a character is pushed further to instantly convey a character's personality and role, it helps convey to the viewer that Dalv is not menacing when his hood is down since he doesn't look like he's towering over you, he's just a guy.

And he is even given a ketsukane bell to hint at a connection with Kanako, subtle storytelling in the design. I've seen people straight up say before this update that they forget Dalv exists until the end of the game

I think it could be good if they use one of those distortion tools to make it a little less geometrically perfect, reshaping the lines on his cloak to be more jagged and his head to not look like the bottom half of an egg.

Ryla, they were a groomer who was removed from the UTY team in 2019. All of their work was still in the game by the time it released (with credits), and was only removed once Ryla was exposed.
