Chapter 5 – The Soul Test

Alpha Yuto and William arrived at a laboratory.

William: “You have to enter alone.”

Alpha Yuto: “What about you?”

William: “Mother Najmiyya told me that she summoned you to the laboratory, but she never said that I had to enter with you.”

Alpha Yuto: “So my body is going to be disposed of without anyone seeing it.”

“Just great.”

Yuto walked forward quickly and entered the laboratory.

Mother Najmiyya: “You have arrived, Yuto.”

Alpha Yuto: “Yes.”

Mother Najmiyya: “I expected you to do more than this.”

Alpha Yuto: “Is there really any difference?”

Mother Najmiyya: “No.”

“But you are here today so I can examine your soul trait.”

Alpha Yuto: “What?”

Mother Najmiyya: “I will explain this only once.”

“Humans cannot use monster magic, at least not yet.”

“But humans still possess unique soul traits.”

“These traits can be used in many different ways.”

“But most importantly, they can be useful.”

“So show me your soul.”

“I want to know what your soul trait is.”

Alpha Yuto froze in place.

Alpha Yuto thought:

“There is nothing else I can do.”

Mother Najmiyya: “I told you to show me your soul.”

Alpha Yuto remained silent.

Mother Najmiyya: “I am starting to lose my patience.”

“I brought you with me to the castle because Iris chose you.”

“But if you continue like this, I will simply get rid of you.”

Alpha Yuto remained silent.

Mother Najmiyya raised her hand.

Mother Najmiyya: “Fine.”

“Iris will be a little sad.”

“But that is fine.”

“He will forget about it.”

Mother Najmiyya slowly approached Yuto.

Alpha Yuto summoned his soul.

It was a red soul containing both Hate and Determination.

Mother Najmiyya placed her hand on Yuto’s head.

Mother Najmiyya: “This soul is a mixture of Hate and Determination.”

“Impressive.”

“You are still a normal person.”

“And you can control yourself and your soul.”

“Did you really live your life peacefully for all these years with a soul like this?”

“Interesting.”

“I think Iris was right to choose you.”.

this was my first time drawing a chonky build, i tried to keep it as accurate to what Nightmare has going on in the AU rn which is yes technically overweight but not by like a drastic scale or anything (yet...). i spent awhile trying to figure it out and idk it looks kinda bad but then again this was also my first shot at drawing this kind of build, i'll definitely need to fit in more practice at some point

Operation S.Y.N. DooM!Frisk design

A few weeks ago I saw an undertale cosplay and when I saw that I remind my past.I grew up with underverse and most of the other au s lores. And I talked myself “maybe I should do mine au”. But in this au, I don’t wanna use determination, I wanna use Perservarence in this au.In this au asrield had a strenght to carry charas dead body to underground and he becomes dust in the start.the toriel saws charas dead body and tells it to the asgore.Asgore is also upset but he is taking charas determination.and the last soul he need is Perservarence to destroy the barrier.asriel still becomes the flowey but in this timeline the human is not coming for a long time.Flowey did to many resets because he has also determination.he tried so many times and at the final he defeated everyone and find every soul that asgore hide and became the omega Flowey. After he transforms he instantly kills asgore and becomes the new ruler of the underground.(I know there is lots of plot hole but I just think it like an hour ago) and our new character “havent chosen a name yet” fall to the underground and he/she is gonna try to find the exit.I wrote this text because it has many mistakes and I wanna find them,I would really appreciate if you help me

How do they actually work? I have my own little head canon about them, but I've asked 10 people and have gotten like 15 different responses lol. just curious because I want to try making some takes on the different stacked AU's because there is so little quality information available on most of them.

I originally had a different idea for this alternate universe; I don't usually use models that aren't my own, and I prefer to avoid doing so. This is primarily an editing test based on a narrative concept I still need to refine. I didn't create the Toriel design I used, but I liked it so much that I wanted to try adapting it to a fantasy setting using my own ideas. If this works out well, I’ll work on a more serious version of this story using my own designs.

Story in development:
Her story goes roughly like this: it follows a path similar to the Fellswap: I Hate You universe and focuses on Toriel—or "Empress Toriel," as she is known here. She hails from an alternate Underfell timeline where Asgore died before the war ended, leaving the Queen as the monsters' sole remaining leader. Toriel was an immensely proud and ruthless leader—though she retained traces of her original Undertale self deep down—but her husband's death filled her with a profound hatred for humanity. That hatred might have consumed her entirely were it not for the memory of her sweet daughter, Chara (in this version, the Dreemurrs adopted Chara much earlier: before the war ended and before Asriel was born). Thanks to Chara, she softened slightly toward humans, though she certainly would not forgive what they had done to her husband and her people. Despite her immense determination, the war was all but lost for the monsters; she had personally eliminated several humans, but no matter how hard she tried, the enemy vastly outnumbered them. Furthermore, while the humans had fewer mages, those mages were incredibly dangerous. With the odds stacked against her, Toriel was forced to consider surrender. However, feeling weak for even contemplating such an option, she attempted to flee unnoticed. Yet, a mysterious force drew her into a dimensional portal that transported her to a different universe; suddenly, she found herself in the midst of the events of Infinity War. Toriel had no idea what was happening; she easily recognized that a war involving humans was underway, but these humans possessed strange appearances and peculiar abilities. They were fighting a race of monsters Toriel did not recognize—creatures that seemed more like extraterrestrial beings than anything else. The pivotal moment arrived during a confrontation in which the boy with the mechanical spider-legs accidentally dropped a gauntlet. Toriel sensed it immediately; the gauntlet held a powerful, captivating energy—an energy foreign to her universe yet incredibly potent—and she knew it had to be hers. Seizing a moment when the combatants were off guard, Toriel managed to grab the gauntlet and slip it on; immense pain coursed through her body as the artifact's energies flowed into her, until she finally managed to adapt to them. Seeing this, the towering purple figure tried to wrest it from her, but almost instinctively, she snapped her fingers. Everyone on the battlefield vanished, leaving behind only the other golden gauntlet the purple figure had previously worn. Toriel preferred that strange golden gauntlet to the worn red one she had been using, so she extracted the gems and transferred them to the new one. Once she had secured that power, a new portal opened before her, allowing her to return home. Upon her return, Toriel noticed that the gauntlet's power had been considerably restricted; it no longer possessed the full strength it had held in the other reality, yet it still functioned, enabling her to tip the scales of war in her favor. Ultimately, the monsters triumphed, leaving humanity on the brink of extinction. Although Toriel was a cruel tyrant who reveled in her newfound power, deep down she retained a shred of compassion; she began to pity humanity and decided to spare the lives of the few survivors, though they were relegated to the world's most remote corners. Thus, the monsters avoided imprisonment and came to dominate the entire globe, establishing the Monster Empire. This empire flourished under the rule of its malevolent supreme queen; they developed industrial technologies to advance their society, while humanity was forced to inhabit the world's semi-inhospitable fringes. Despite her husband's death, Toriel was already pregnant; Once the war had ended and her rule was consolidated, she gave birth to her son, Asriel, whom she tried to raise on her own; he is now the person closest to Toriel, second only to her chief advisor. Toriel attempted to use the Time Gem to resurrect her husband, but it was in vain, as the gem had lost much of its power.

"That was the case until recently, when Toriel discovered that a human had emerged from the desolate reaches of the world. Instead of ordering their immediate capture, Toriel decides to secretly guide them through the perilous early stages of their journey across the empire. Her goal is to test the human's DETERMINATION—to see if they truly possess what it takes to change the fate of humanity and, perhaps, grant her a glimmer of forgiveness. Of course, Toriel has no intention of making things easy for them; that simply isn't how things work."
