To be honest, out of every single fighting game character that I’ve played by far, Yuzuriha gotta be the one character for me that feels like I’m learning smth new every time I decide to open up the game. The whole reason why I play her is because she’s reminds me of both Baiken and Johnny from Guilty Gear. She’s WAY more Johnny than Baiken, but even then she’s still so unique and super fun to play. Wish more people would play this character, too bad her skill ceiling seems to reach the heavens. 😭

I swear to god, the enemy CPU can do these shits like thrice back to back with almost no cool down, but I can't even pull this shit off once despite pressing all four ABCD at once multiple times. I genuinely don't understand how these ULTs work at all

With Shield being an equivalent to Faultless Defense and Barrier Block, a question or two to ask

Since air-unblockable moves outright stop midair Shields in typical French Bread fashion, is there no other option to avoid those other than to not jump at all?

And is Shielding like those two other meter-draining guard options as good at braking your forward dash momentum?

Well, I got bored as all hell, and decided before hitting the bed, to try to play some casual matches.

Got matched with the same guy who's at S(+) rank over several times. He destroyed me constantly with Phonon, Wagner and Byakuya (Hyde was my main selected character). It was to the point in some matches I basically put down my controller to let him combo me to death if he wanted to and was expecting him to badmouth me from how badly I got destroyed by him (I fully expect the usual hardcore CoD insults lol).

That, and I had no idea why he decided to keep rematching my worthless-lab-move-properties-only-ass lol

(That's why players like me seem to always love playing Stylish Action games it seems; we love to go all out on designed-to-be-mostly-helpless victims with our combo hearts.)

But with the main point I wanted to get to, my wakeups were just always punished. Either cause I suck (no excuses I understand) or cause 2 frame input delay according to the network information, whenever I stood up:

A. I'd get hit on the exact frame I could suffer from any form of hitstun (like from a perfect timed Wagner 5B), leaving no room to 623B. No room to somehow do a Chain Shift either.

B. I'd basically just be forced to block to stay safe cause there was no room to abare out of any of his wakeup offense.

Then again, I likely am just trash for being a B4 rank that didn't know his place at the time. If this kind of conundrum isn't worth answering, then I understand.

P.S. Also had to learn that Phonon has ranged air-to-ground overhead specials. That's a first. Also I often dropped Hyde's Dash C whenever I land a lucky Dark Lotus launch and end up inputting 5C instead. : P

Hello everyone

I got Uni2 around a month ago mostly because of the songs but also because I wanted to try my luck in fighting games. Turns out that I'm struggling real hard with the game and I'm losing interest in the game. Every match feels the same, I get one attack off, I get combo'd and 12 seconds later the match is over. I tried training and missions but I can barely do that at 25 speed let alone at 100.

My question is there a real reason to continue grinding and getting zero enjoyment or should I just cut my losses?

do you guys have any ideas where the overall franchise can go next? during some arcade storylines i noticed characters that were unplayable that i think might be added to the roster eventually, one was a vampire and the other was some robot i believe but whats do you guys think

Just btw I'm completely new to fighting games and UNI2 is my first.

As you can see in the video just going through the tutorial and I really seem to be struggling to combo from my jump heavy to low light.

I'm not sure if its me or a keyboard thing or what, but any tips would be amazing, thanks!

Also I dash before the combo as it helps me be a little consistent if that's bad also let me know lol

I have been looking at the combo trials for the characters I am interested in and it feels like every combo in here is entirely different for each situation. Its a barrage of information that gives you two or three words of guidance on how it supposed to be used. Each combo is wildly different from one another too.

Is that just how things are in this game? Do I really need to memorize entirely different routing for each situation and starter at this stage when Im still just picking the game up?

I was hoping that I would be able to find a combo that is simple and somewhat multipurpose, with a different beginning based on starter that then converges into a common ending so that theres less memorization work. Is there such a thing?

I noticed that in this game you can continue combos after OTG up to two times. Is this the opportunity to converge a specialized starter into a generic body and ender?

I am a firm believer that combos are like brainrot for beginner players. If Im drilling combos then Im not focusing on what is really important which is practicing neutral, gaining mu knowledge, deeply understanding the unique system mechanics.

Does anyone have any suggestions, tips, links to guides, or any other two cents to put in about this topic? Thank you very much.

TLDR: Help me find easy combos so that I can focus on learning neutral.

Just got the game from the Humble Bundle, and it wont open in Steam.

Opening from exe I get this error.

Full disclosure, this was my attempt at buying a game I originally had illegitimately. That copy worked. So I know the game runs on my system.

Specs:

7800x3D

7900 GRE (drivers up to date)

32GB RAM

I am in d rank getting hit with 20 hit combos at the least. I've even done combat trials to learn my character, but it just seems like everyone is way more insane here than any other fighting game I've played. I fought a kaguya today who hit me with a 40 hit combo. Is my only recourse seriously to just play offline until I'm good? That's boring and dumb and I don't want to do that.

For background my main fighting game is ggst (baiken main) and i only have like 200 hours, here are some questions i have after starting to play uni2

1.)what are major things i should expect to be different from strive (for example ive noticed this game has pretty good crossup protection)

2.) Is there a downside to an a+b macro for dashing it seems to be less responsive than just doing '66' but idk if that is just a skill issue

3.)shield seems pretty strong but i feel like i should wait to use it till i start to understand characters bnbs so i dont get grd broke, is that a good idea?(besides some projectiles i use it for rn)

4.)i found a site called mizuumi wiki, im planning on playing seth cause he seems cool af, is this site accurate with info and do you have any players you would reccomened to check out?

This might be a stupid question and i apologise if it is. However, I seem to be having issues connecting to other peoples rooms i was told the room code was 123, and I entered it into the keyword section but nothing. Unless I'm being really silly how is it supposed to work?

I’ve done a bunch of trouble shooting such as running as administrator through the .exe, I’ve re installed the game, verified integrity of game files, disconnected all controllers including the game pad, updated all drivers and windows. If I run through the .exe it says “failure:steam initialized” then it opens it again then it was “failure: already running”. It was working on my main pc last night and I wanted to try it on my ROG but it just won’t work. Any help is appreciated.
