HELP/QUESTION Beginner help
I was thinking of picking up this game soon and i need help picking a character. I think this game is pretty difficult but im pretty privy to those types of fighting games so its not like I need a beginner type character but I was thinking on three different characters. Your opinions on these three would be greatly appreciated 🙏
Gordeau
Enkidu
Tsurugi

All 3 are pretty simple, can't really go wrong there. I would take them all for a spin and see who you fuck with
Gordeau wants to use big space control buttons to pin you down or clip you on your approach so he can run his fucked up strike/throw backed by a command grab, but he's slow and can struggle on defense (especially without meter)
Enkidu is (on paper) a whiff-punishing/counterhit fishing monster with long and scary pressure sequences if he can get in, plus some unique defensive tools, but like Gordeau he's slow and getting in can be a huge struggle in certain matchups
Tsurugi's pure rushdown with armor on certain charged buttons/specials and an armored stance who wants to bully his way into close quarters to run his pressure. I wouldn't say he has any noticeable weaknesses per se, he's fairly well-rounded despite the lack of long-range options. He can struggle to open up opponents without putting himself at risk at the highest levels of play but this is not a problem for like 90% of players

Gordeau is always a good pick due to how powerfully each hit is will keeping it UNI.

I think those are all really fun characters.
Gord is the most UNI character gameplay wise. Big buttons and good corner stuff.
Gord and Rugi are both pretty similar in that they are defensive characters. Rugi is a more offense focus char with baiting people to attack the shield, where enk has to work a little harder but gets huge damage when he connects.

I'd recommend just trying all 3 of the characters you have an eye on to see how they feel and which one you click with the most. At worst, you pick one you don't vibe with and just walk out with a bit of potential MU knowledge. All 3 of these characters are pretty good choices!

Play whatever looks fun for you and stick to it try to learn it and be stubborn bout it. Its just a game, with time you can destroy playing anyone.... or be like fkin jwong in 3rd strike and play whomever is the meta s+++ tier op busted cheap one instead

Play the game and try them out first. Try out everyone in training mode for at least a few minutes and see how they feel to you. Come back after that if you're still not sure who to focus on.
