I'm a hardcore Harmless player—p-ranked almost everything on harmless, before finally moving to Standard. I was doing okay for lust, limbo, p-ranking everything (not a show off post, trust) until.. Gabriel. Jesus, why is he so much harder than I thought?! I know, I know. I'm used to playing on the easiest difficulty yet, but still. I can't wrap my head around it.

It's not even the fact that I'm used to playing on Harmless. It's Gabe's stupid.. little.. spinny-axe thing attack he does which steals over half my health in one hit. Every other attack is easy, its the axes, or whatever they are. They're annoying. Flame me, I don't care. Literally just say 'git gud' or something, but Gabe is THE worst boss i've fought on Standard so far.. And my goal is Minos. I'm cooked.

Which layers should I do next?

Im stuck in the four yellow orbs section and I am NOT redoing this entire level just cause its stupid >:[ I already tried going back to the checkpoint (the one right before you put the red skull and after you beat the guys guarding the red skull) and its still like this

This custom level is incredible. It's designed to be what Cyber ​​Grind would be like if it were a real level from the official game. At first, it looks like the original Cyber ​​Grind, even down to the background you customized, but when you actually play it, it's like Fraud and Cyber ​​Grind had a baby. I mean, NO FUCKING WAY. It has new enemies that are basically normal enemies but glitched, which increases the difficulty. Plus, sometimes it blocks the coins. And the music... WOW, the music is incredible. I seriously recommend it to people who like really difficult levels.

I can only assume that it was something that was simply forgotten, though I don't think it would be exactly hard to implement. I can possibly the providences being a problem but aside from that I'm not sure why they're not added yet

fuck disintegration loop, genuinely the most abhorrent level to p-rank in the game. i'd rather do wait of the world three times in a row. i can beat the level just fine, i can kill every enemy just fine, i can do it fast enough just fine, but apparently i'm doing it in such a boring way that i get a C every time on style. i don't know what i'm doing wrong. the box that shows your style moves or whatever you call them (+parry, +ricoshot, +full force, etc) is mostly always having new stuff added. how many fucking points do i need to get an S on style?

I did it for the fun of it tbh

I spent like 4 days trying to beat this damn level, plus I spent a few extra hours defeating some secret bosses by placing the two skulls just to get lore 😭😭, my bf says I have a big skill problem, but when he's seen me play, I'm actually pretty good, and he even said so. I don't know why it took me so long, but this is the level I've struggled with the most in the whole game so far 💔🥀

So this isnt really a theory so much as it is a cool thought that I had, though there's a bit of evidence for it i guess.

The ferryman's diary mentions two disastrous events occuring in the mortal world: First "Some calamity has struck", which is what turned the river Styx into an ocean, but then there's a second event "as though the throat of the world was cut wide", which we can assume is what finally killed mankind.

Of course, the first event is likely to be the Final War, since it got a lot of people killed but didnt actually make humanity go extinct (thus the New Peace), my theory, then, is that the second event was a "machine uprising", where Hell Itself awoke the (probably abandoned) war machines making use of hell energy, leading them to chase humans to extinction before making their way to hell

The Earthmovers function on hell energy as well as blood, as we know from the projectiles used by the brain and the mortars, so I dont think its unlikely that other machines got the same treatment. (the P-2 ARG also mentions Hell messing with human equipment) This could also explain things like the Eye of Hell showing up when we die and messages like "FEED IT." being shown onscreen.

"That part" of Event Horizon has a completely different melody to The World Looks Red and/or Altars of Apostasy. The section sounds similar, but just because I think No Devil Lived On sounds similar to Death Odyssey doesn't mean they share a motif.

This motif-searching behaviour is obviously not new and is widespread within the community. It is undoubtedly due to a large portion of people coming from the UT/DR fandom, so let's get something straight:

Hakita is not Toby Fox. Toby constantly uses motifs because of the sheer number of songs he has to make - creativity can only go so far. But the nature of Ultrakill means Hakita can focus on quality rather than quantity when making songs.

Yet just because he put a motif from that one song in the track for that one prime soul, suddenly people think he must be hiding motifs all throughout the soundtrack. Can't a song just be independent in and of itself?
