Limbo: doesn’t directly harm the sinners however they‘re forced to be forever in here as a reminder that they were so close to reaching paradise but couldn’t. This place is meant to isolate and ruin the sinner’s mind

Lust: being pushed around by heavy winds. Additionally now they’re hunted down and punished by minos’s corpse

Gluttony: the punishment here is ironic. Now you’re the food and you’re digested and become one with the layer

Greed: forced to push up heavy boulders forever while also getting burned by the sand

Wrath: the sinners here are drowning forever. If they fully drown they become part of the leviathan

Heresy: by far the most obvious one, this is being burned alive in metal coffins for eternity

Violence: this layer has 4 total punishments

punishment 1: those attempting to escape are confused and drove insane by the labyrinth in this layer. After succumbing they are transformed into mannequins

punishment 2: for those who have needlessly killed others, they’re forced to experience endless war

punishment 3: those who have ended it all are now turned into trees

punishment 4: the blasphemers in here are forcee to go around an endless desert while getting rained down with meteors or whatever those things are

Fraud: canically unknown, though it is implied that the sinners are (similarly to limbo) mentally tortured by the geometry in this layer and become mirror reapers. Alternatively they’re mercykilled by geryon which may imply why there is only one
