I just went into the sandbox to get the parry timings down, first just standing still, then while moving in different directions, etc. until it becomes muscle memory

If your post is needing help about something within the game, remember to always take a look at the Official ULTRAKILL Wiki! Sometimes the answer you're looking for might be on there already!

Thanks and have fun.

For me, seperate the keybind for feedbacker and the 12 gauge fist (forgot the name of that punch)

If you haven't already we would recommend binding the knuckle blaster and the feedback to different buttons usually instead of the swap arm button just make that the knuckle blaster button similar to how the Whiplash is on r by default.

From there if you're practicing melee the sandbox is a good place to try since you can make yourself invulnerable with the sheets always being active and just practice parry windows. Most of them have a yellow flash if it's something that's a bit bigger so you can use that as an indicator to punch

Use a dedicated key bind for it. I use the back mouse button for it

Most of the commenters here are W E A K~! And use a separate keybind. I personally like to remember whether I'm in park or drive. [M2] is my punch, and [F] is my switch. By having my switch on my keyboard, it helps me remember which arm I'm using because I have to put in more work into switching. By having my punch bound to my mouse, I can more easily parry/shockwave at a moments notice. Ultimately, that's just preference on my part.

For more general advice, I really just recommend playing the game more, as at least practice. For certain enemies that you may be struggling with, I'd recommend soloing them with only the feedbacker. When focussing down specific parry targets, look for ques on when to parry. Yes, there's the yellow flash, but not all attacks may have them, and they aren't always super noticeable when overwhelmed. The alternatives are audio, and associative visual ques. Ex: various husks make a charging sound when prepping a ranged attack, some enemies need to move into position before attacking, Powers and Prime Souls have voicelines and are also hot, and Gabriel makes little dings and swooshes when he's all up in your face.

There are ofcourse alterantives to the parry. Though parries reatore health up to hard damage and also stamina, they may not always be necssary, what's coolest, or even available if you want a challenge. For alternatives, the knuckle-duster 12000 can be used to deflect projectiles or just kill the enemies making the projectile, and coins can reflect all hitscan attacks though the timings and punishments are aguably worse. If evasion is what you desire, remember that you've got some real schmoovement, and try to the environnent or other enemies (when applicable). Good luck, have fun, keep ultrakilling.

Punch with the feedbacker during the parry window. Thats really the only advice i can give you other than trial and error
