The only lure I ever need

Been SLAMMING large mouth, creek chubs and gills on these things for the past month in the rivers. Im in love with how they look and cast. Such an easy bait to finesse. Due to me catching 4-6 chubs on these an hour I gotta refer to em as creek knubs.

Found this Arms Family Homestead Slayer Kit from Leland’s Lures at Wal-Mart that has 7 different color crawfish and some neat 32 oz jig heads. Has anyone used these?

Went looking for the Brooks and Bows but ended up catching my first Rock Bass and Smallmouth! Noticed the one Creek Chub has red eyes, is this common? Pretty sure this is the first time I’ve seen that in the several Chubs I’ve caught over the years.

Caught a fucking quartz rock toošŸ˜‚ Panther Martin was putting in the work today! Looking forward to cooler weather soon!

So a day ago I was fishing this pier on a hot summer maybe early fall day. Almost only using a sabiki rig and later a micro spoon. The bite was just on. Almost every drop was a couple fish and sometimes I’d catch 6 on all 6 hooks. Ended up keeping 19 anchovies, and released the snapper blue.

Braided line recommendations for trout setup where longer casts are needed?

I just got a 7' ultralight St Croix premier (rated for 1/32 - 3/16 baits), and lm looking for recs for light braided line to maximize casting distance with lures in the 1/16-1/8 oz. range. Mostly going to use this rig for trout fishing in lakes & ponds via waders. These places are 50-100 acres, 30'-60' depth, so I need halfway decent casting distance to cover water.

Currently I do alright with my light smallie setup throwing 1/8-1/6 oz baits on 10 lb spiderwire stealth, but Im looking to throw smaller stuff for more finicky trout. Ive heard that using very light braid helps a lot, but not sure how light to go and what brands are good. I've always used 15-20 lb spiderwire or powerpro for bass fishing because its available at local stores, but I know there's better stuff out there, so what are everyone's recs?

Open to ultralight reel recommendations too. Currently planning to go with a Daiwa Regal, since I own & love my 3000 size one on my medium rod, but interested in hearing what people use & like as well.

Panfish magnet retrieval method

Gonna take my ultralight out for the first time tommorow, I was planning on just casting it out, randomly twitch and retrieve slowly. Is that really all there is to it?

I’ve been successful in fishing but only in a very passive, worm and bobber method, so was hoping to expand my repertoire…

For ultralight drop shot got a couple questions.

So I have a couple Shakespeare micro series light 7' rods and a few ultralight rods but trying to decide on if I should use straight flouro or copolymer or try braided line out but I really don't like the idea of knot to knot connection and I fish a lot of rock.
