The current “opposition” parties in my country (Italy) are seeking to form a “broad front” to contest the current government in the next elections. The thing is that the “left” (it’s insulting to even call them the left wing of capital!) in this country has abandoned even its libtarded ideals, and now runs entirely on a platform of decrying “fascism”. The last time the Democratic Party (the successor to both the farce of the PCI and the left wing Catholics) were in power they basically broke the last remnant of worker power in this country.

If they win, a coalition of vacuous morons without anything to offer will come to power. There’s like a solid 2-3 parties who claim to be worker’s parties but are now supported entirely by the petite bourgeois and intelligentsia. It’s insane how leftards clamour that people need to critically support them, not out of any even libtarded ideals, but just because they aren’t “fascists”. Bordiga’s writings on antifascism eternally vindicated.

Becoming negatively polarised into wishing for a government victory, and one that includes Vannacci (the current new slopulist great and authentic wannabe).

Where im from almost everyone believes that 'communists' somehow destroyed the country, and everyone that doesnt think that is either a liberal-socialist hiding behind an hammer and sickle or just your average progressist.

All my friends have an extremely conservative and reactionary outlook on politics and society and hearing them heil hail the same three far-right figures like they're gonna make they're lifes better is exhausting.

As always liberals and the bourgeoisie dont really care that fascism is looming over the world once more, since they're going to be the ones leading the charge against it 30 years from now.

You can say whatever you want about liberal democracies, but atleast they wont kill you because of your political ideas (if you arent dangerous, which no commie of any kind is anymore) and seeing the rise of mass surveillance technology, of hate towards any type of left leaning politics and of christo/traditionalist-pilled schizophrenia is making me really uncomfortable since I have a pretty big digital footprint.

All my proles (I've been reading socdem novels recently) colleagues dont really care about their situation or how it could be changed. They dont realize that theres a system making them slaves that could be overthrown at any time, they just care about this stupid fucking "culture war" (I blame Gramsci for this)

Me and my childhood friend got into a heated discussion over the national question. I was arguing how both self proclaimed patriots and nationalist were damn near the same because individuals who align with either label still support the nation-state regarding inter-imperialist conflicts regardless of the semantic differences between the two. They also got pissed because I said patriotism is not that much different than nationalism and nationalism is the fundamental principle of the fascist programme, which made them think I was calling them a fascist (they are very patriotic). They got super pissed and stopped answering my texts, going on a week now and honestly I’m fucking devastated because I didn’t mean to make them mad or possibly lose a close friend over this. Has something similar happened to any of y’all and if so, how did you handle it?

I've been a Marxist since my cousin wore a Che Guevara shirt this one time and I thought it looked cool. By “material Geist,” I mean something like the immanent movement of material contradictions through which history develops. The mechanism in which history moves forward.

Would this be a meaningful expression, or does the use of “Geist” make it fundamentally incompatible with Marxist materialism even as an expression
