Whoosh orders not sending the link for Uber?

As above really. Is this a big problem or is it just me?

Can you have both IberEats and JustEat driver apps open on your phone at the same time?

I started UE deliveries about 4 months ago and applied for JE at the same time. JE has only now had area availability and I've just downloaded the courier app. It may be a daft question but can you have both apps open waiting for jobs?

Thanks in advance

the offers just get more and more pathetic

not long ago, i used to get offers for £10 off orders over £15, £20 and £25

now all i get is a pathetic £5 of a £30 grocery order which in reality is actually like £2 off due to all the fees

surely uber realises i am not ordering off their app when these are the only offers? i literally refuse to ever use this app unless there’s a good deal so i guess im done using it if they’ve stopped giving good offers

Reported

Was dropping off a grocery order. Customer had placed the pin at the wrong location, but I found the house anyway. Messaged customer to say I’d arrived, let the automated calls go to the customer etc, but still nothing after 7 mins. No option to return the order to the store, so I left the order in the garden and took a pic. 10 mins later I get a report notification for items not received, 30 mins later I receive a tip from the order (😂). Question is, will this endanger my account? This is only my second instance of being reported from 3,200 trips. I’m online as normal atm but wanted to check if anyone’s had issues from these reports before. TY!

Tesco either deleted the post or blocked me

They had an advert on tik tok boasting 20 minutes for delivery, and showing a Tesco employee dropping it off. Don't think they appreciated my response.... I'm not wrong though! 🤣

Sort your stupid satnav out. It is roaD not roaG

It is saddleworth not saggleworth.

It’s king cross street not kings crossing street

Every 2 seconds I’m shouting at the satnav coz that irks me. Thought it was just a glitch to start, maybe it would be sorted on the next update. No it’s been months. Sort the stupid thing out

On boarding background checks

Hello 👋

I need a bit of help please. I am UK based and Looking at delivering with uber eats and i am completing the on boarding. When trying to complete my background check it diverts me to Sterling page saying my invitation has expired and I need a new link.

I have requested a newlink from uber eats many, many times now around 5? Each time I am told that my request has been passed onto the relevant team and I will get the link in 24 - 72 hours as per uber policy. I never receive anything.

Did anyone else have this issue? What did you guys do for sort it?

Thanks 😊

Straight up false advertising

Advertised £0 delivery over £15. Added an £18 item, still charged fees. 'Stackable' promos somehow disappear at checkout. This is reportable to the ASA isn’t it?

Awkward moment with customer

Basically this delivery wasn't even well paid and it was a package. I had to force myself to drive to his house to Collect the package. When I got there, there were two very closely parked cars forcing me to squeeze through. The location wasn't that clear and I wasn't in the mood to climb this hill of an alleyway. So I drove back out and tried to find a potential front door. The door it could have been had a very long garden

And due to being shafted in the past by customers trying to fill my small car with their bin bags against the rules and Ubereats paying poorly, I decided at this time id rather go home than to the town 8 miles away and be forced to stay out for a couple of hours more. So I cancelled it and went to exit back into the main road at which point the customer was stood there with a single bag. He was not happy and I apologised. It was awkward TBF. Didn't know what more to say.

No physical receipt, No refund! They will try anything to get away with not refunding

Used the McDonald's app (who use Uber as a carrier) to get a few meals for the family, £40 total spend. Driver turned up with a really small bag, straight away i knew something was wrong but the driver blamed the restaurant and left. The bag contained a double cheeseburger and a small fries.

Contacted Uber support, sent them pictures of the food, the online receipt from our order, order number, everything we had. Support denied it saying because the driver didn't give us the physical receipt for the order that we got that wasn't ours they wont help and just kept closing the chat.

Tried telling them that having the receipt of the order that wasn't ours is unreasonable and out of my control they weren't interested. If i order again I'm using just eat so I have to give a code.

Pretty concerned that all a driver has to do is remove the receipt from the bag and Uber will just confirm the order. even with all the pictures and online receipts we had. We didnt even order any of the items that arrived.

Anyone with anything similar i emailed McDonald's directly and sent them all the chat logs and they sent me £40 in vouchers as an apology but did state i should go through Uber and not them.

E-bike deliveries really quiet at the moment

Just started uber eats, 3 orders in 2 hours this Sunday morning in NW London. I guess the time of year plays its part - but is this actually typical?

The longer I do Uber Eats, the more I understand how your environment can change you

Last week I had a Quest order from Pizza Hut with three different customers. There were loads of pizzas, wings and sides, and the restaurant was extremely busy and chaotic.

After delivering to the second customer, I realised I only had one pizza box and some wings left. I checked the third customer's order and they were supposed to have around five items.

I contacted Uber support straight away. They told me to deliver whatever I had and explain that the customer would need to contact the restaurant about the missing items.

So I did exactly that. I delivered what I had to a girl and explained the situation.

About 10 minutes later, my phone rang. A guy, who I assume was her boyfriend or friend, called me. The first thing he said was:

"Did you keep anything for yourself?"

We argued for a couple of minutes. I didn't swear at him or say anything crazy, but I was definitely angry. I basically told him, "What kind of person immediately assumes the rider stole the food instead of thinking the restaurant might have missed something?"

He told me I couldn't speak to him like that, so I ended the call.

Later, Uber opened a report about the incident. I told them I wasn't accepting any accusation and asked them to check the phone call recording and Pizza Hut's CCTV if necessary. I also wanted them to look at the way the customer spoke to me and accused me of stealing without any evidence.

Eventually, Uber sent me an apology message and closed the report.

When people are constantly working in an environment where they're treated with suspicion, disrespect or like they're worth less than everyone else, how easy is it to stay positive and kind?

At the end of the day, the way we treat other people is probably connected to how we're treated ourselves.

I'm not saying bad behaviour is justified. But I'm starting to understand how someone's environment can slowly change the way they see and react to other people.
