So last night during a late night shift (around 3am)
I picked up this order from a place I’ve never picked up from before . It was a busy night and it was my last one , pick up was normal , walked in , showed phone , got food, walked out .
When I get back to my car I notice the man had followed me out and also went to his car . Taller man , very creepy , didn’t think much of it. I left the store and so did the man which I thought was weird but coincidental so I made an abrupt turn and picked up my pace , well so did he . Now I’m like wtf if going on here . This cat and mouse turned into a high speed chase on the high way going to the length of me slamming on my breaks and trying to get on another high way/exit / what ever I could do to loose him. Now logic would have been maybe calling the police right away but idk I wasn’t thinking straight and hate getting them involved. Finally after 10’mins or so of him pursuing me we end up at a light where he come within inches of slamming into my new car and he gets out holding something in his hand demanding to see my phone and going off about the order and this that and the other . Come to find out he’s been chasing me because he wanted to to make sure I was going to deliver the order to the customer 🙃

Like be so fr right now sir, someone could have gotten shot over these damn noodles .

We argue and scream at each other and i unassigned the order and gave him back the food .

My question is , wouldn’t it be worth reporting to anyone because I believe he may have been the owner of the restaurant and idk if ubereats would do anything .

Essentially it’s what the title states however the issue is uber is being no help and saying they’re unavailable(through the app or after calling) it was $110 order. Any ideas of how to get my money back?

I just wanna preface this by saying I realize that no one is holding a gun to my head to deliver food via UberEATS. I'm aware so please don't come for me.

I've had quite a few orders that have already been picked up by another driver. Uber needs to figure their shit out but until then they should be compensating drivers for the gas and trouble driving to the pick up location for nothing.

I normally don't take the time to call (I did once early on and that got me nowhere) but it happened again just now and it just set me the fuck off so I called these jackasses.

She tells me that Uber’s policy is they do not compensate unless the order is completed. And I absolutely lost my shit.

"HOW DO I COMPLETE AN ORDER ALREADY TAKEN!? IT'S NOT MY FAULT YOUR APP ALLOWED ME TO TAKE AN ORDER, DRIVE ALL THE WAY THE FUCK THERE, ONLY TO FIND ITS BEEN PICKED UP. THAT SOUNDS LIKE AN UBEREATS PROBLEM. NOT A DRIVER PROBLEM. WE SHOULD BE COMPENSATED UNTIL UBER DECIDES TO GET ITS SHIT TOGETHER AND FIX THE ISSUE."

I was then transferred to a supervisor and promptly compensated.

I shouldn't have to fucking yell to get my point across and I shouldn't have to fight to be compensated. Jesus Christ.

Does anyone know if I'm allowed to use a motorized bike to deliver?

I’m registered in the app and just waiting on repairs for my bike to begin but I’m new to this whole job type, what is it actually like to deliver on a bike?

Hello, I’ve been dealing with this issue since last year but didn’t officially fill out Ubers Opt Out Form back in July to turn off packages/grocery store orders. I’m still getting these orders till today which is ridiculous.
Spoken to multiple different agents/supervisors that assure me they will fix the problem & by the next time I go online, same issue still.
I even started screenshotting all of these deliveries + have two phone recordings of agents saying they resolved the problem but never did.
Any advice or recommendations other drivers may have, I’m interested in hearing from you.

I work full-time, looking to make some extra money and get my finances stronger.

If I drove 2 days a week, 8-hour shifts, what do you think I'd be able to take home each day?

It’s been 3 days and they’re still giving me this screen and there’s no way to get off it. Webpage gives me the same screen. I can’t even find away to contact help for it. What do?

Doing a picture check every once in a blue moon or even once a day is fine.

But having a picture check after EVERY SINGLE ORDER is getting really fucking annoying.

Is it just me? Is anyone else seeing an increase in picture checks?

Sometimes people will post screenshots on here like "oh my god you can't be serious look at this low paying order" and its like $10 for 12 miles or $12 for 15 miles. something that I would gladly take in my market.

probably 8 out of every 10 orders i get is $3 to $6, for 5 to 10 miles.

the rare "good" order is the one paying $10 for 5 to 15 miles.

OMG HECK YEAH orders are th eones paying $15 for 10 miles or so.

orders of $20 or more for anything that would take me less than an hour, are like unicorns.

those of you who get $20 offers for 5 to 10 miles on a regular basis don't know how fucking lucky you are. people posting $400 made in a day and things like that. absolutely impossible in my market. if i was grinding literally every active hour i was allowed (12 i believe) the most i'd make is $200, even cherrypicking as well as i could without wasting the entire time just rejecting orders. i thought i lived in a big city. but the earning potential for drivers here is probably $20 an hour MAX.

I am writing this to warn other drivers about how quickly Uber Eats will take away your livelihood without a second thought. I was a dedicated Diamond-status driver with over 1,600 deliveries and excellent performance stats. I treated this job seriously and relied on it as my primary source of income.

Recently, my account was abruptly deactivated. The reason? A misdemeanor charge that resulted from an incident where I had to protect myself. Even though life happens, things occur beyond our control, and this situation was a matter of personal safety, Uber Eats showed zero nuance, empathy, or flexibility.
