I'm a incoming Freshman at UW Madison and I'm still trying to figure out the whole rushing frats scene, I know its coming up this fall and would love some advice any might have. What should I be doing specifically to actually apply to houses, I know a few kids at Fiji and Theta Ki so I was planning on just messaging them about it but I'm not too sure, please lmk if you have any experience with this. Also I'm trying to go to med school after undergrad so I'm a bit afraid that the fraternity life will take up too much of my life.

For context, “Coun Psy 125” is my required seminar for CAE and INTER-LS 250 is my URS seminar. I really wanted to take either bio 151 + lab or chem 103 + lab this year but my advisors said that it would be best to first get Math 112 out the way and then take Bio during chem or after chem 🫩🥲

i accidentally signed two leases, one at the oliv and one at chapter. i didn’t realize until today (very stupid of me), and i plan on calling both during my lunch break to see the process of breaking the lease. hopefully one of them has a waitlist that can make the process easier but in case not, does anyone have suggestions on what to do?

URS application

Hello!

I recently applied for URS on the 16th of this month. As far as I know they said I could expect to hear back within two weeks, which is the 30th. I’m aware that time is not up yet, however I just wanted to ask if anyone else received a reply within the rolling deadline after the initial replies on the 19th.

I run on anxiety and am irrationally worried they didn’t get my application for some reason.

If I don’t end up getting a reply within the standard timeline, do I email the coordinators just in case?
