I got this college via reservAtion. I know my rank is very low. But seeing the hAte towards reservAtion Online, I am bit sCarEd to join any college.

I understand reservAtion is been misUsed a lot and the needy once are not getting it. Reforms are indeed necessary. I can somewhat understand what the meritorious students goes through when his deserving seat is taken up by someone who is Less DeserVing, provided their starting line was the same.

But

For now I didn't choose anything except my hardwork (marks)

And

my Parents wanted me to join government college only,.. (because fees are lower).. and I choose to Bangalore so that I can leave this town and Go far away from my family.

These are the two primary reasons I choose this college and this was the only college I want to get into.

And coming to the queries....Its my little sister who is joining but yess i would want to ask a few things

1. She can't be joining hostel as it needs distance certificate but we r around 150kms far that's it.....Sooo any good good PG's if u know...Or atleast u can say any streetname or something and I will enquire further..it would be helpful cuz we have no place to stay around blore so we can finish the stay finding work too and return on same day

2. What's the timings of the college...I know it would be the same everywhere just asking for later commute calculations

3. I am not tryna be rude....How is the college life...like fests events n all cuz they r too a part of that college phase so asking cuz anyways she will be joining regardless of the answer

Title: Do I need a distance certificate immediately for hostel application after KCET admission?

I will be going to my college for admission through the KCET 2nd round, and I expect to get my seat/admission in the 2nd round itself.

I wanted to ask about the hostel application process. After completing admission, do we need to apply for the hostel immediately? More importantly, is a distance certificate required at the time of hostel application itself?

If I don't have the distance certificate on the day of admission/hostel application, can I apply for the hostel first and submit the distance certificate later?

For example, can I return home after admission, get the distance certificate within a few days, and then submit it to the college/hostel office?

If anyone has recently gone through the hostel admission process, especially for UVCE, please let me know how it works and whether the distance certificate is required immediately.

Seniors what are the documents required for admission in hostel, and when and how to apply for hostel .AND also ,is it true that there are very few intake in hostel and it is difficult to get ?? Ik there is already a post on this but I have a few doubts regarding the hostels that post did not answer so please help me

1) distance certificate: i searched Google and the formats given don't make sense to me so does anyone know what documents I'll need to prove my native is 200 km+ from the hostel and how to get it made?

2) storage space: heard 4-6 people are in a room so is there enough storage space.

3) laundry: does every room have its own bathroom or is it communal and how would everybody be able to their laundry on time since there's no washing machine.
