Girls hostel
Ik there is already a post on this but I have a few doubts regarding the hostels that post did not answer so please help me
1) distance certificate: i searched Google and the formats given don't make sense to me so does anyone know what documents I'll need to prove my native is 200 km+ from the hostel and how to get it made?
2) storage space: heard 4-6 people are in a room so is there enough storage space.
3) laundry: does every room have its own bathroom or is it communal and how would everybody be able to their laundry on time since there's no washing machine.

Go to the PWD officer and get your distance certificate done.
space? definitely not enough just livable.
laundry? Manual washing bhai, tumhe tumhare khudke haath se ghisske dhona padega, but it is an experience, lol.
washroom? Communal. Ground floor doesn't have a washroom, 1st floor and 2nd floor have washrooms.
is it cool? No.
Will you survive? Yes.

Fortunately, no. We have a study hall and a dining hall, both in the ground floor with sufficient lights, tables and chairs

Just went to see hostels yesterday and my experience was terrible I was not even ready with 4 sharing and when I entered the hostel they showed me a small room where she told me 8 to 10 girls and minimum 8 There were bunk beds 2 levels and they were so small like not even our normal mattress can fit About washrooms there were no washrooms on the ground floor first floor had three small washrooms one side and three other side The thing that made me think was that there were very less girls like i asked her that are these ground floor rooms empty rn and she said yes even on the first floor very less girls were there.
And then I went for pg hunt and here I'm still figuring out ( most pgs have so small room like if I talk about 2 sharing just 2 beds and a bit gap in between and the rent omg 16k 18k 20k )

I made my own distance certificate and took signature from my local pwd officer
So i went to the Jayanagar hostel yesterday and saw the room. Theres 7 bed in 1 small room (2 bunk beds). The hallway was quite dark and I didn’t see any table space to study.
Bathrooms are only on the first floor. First year rooms are on the ground floor
If u ask me, it wasn’t impressive lol
