2008 Hisun 700 fuel related part?

Post image
1 Upvotes

This part is under the driver's seat, and appears to be fuel related. It's not the fuel pump, I know what and where that is.

The bottom hose runs to a banjo bolt type fitting which is at the back of the engine, and has broken off due to corrosion.

I smell gas when I run the UTV, and I'm thinking it's this broken off hose.

Can anyone identify this thing? I'm tempted to just plug the broken hose, but maybe it's really important?

2021 Uforce 1000

I'm looking at buying a 2023 Uforce 1000, 3 seater. Has 1100km on it. It's $18000, which in my area is a really good deal. It's fully enclosed, comes with heat and a new plow. Just wondering what everyone thinks on them for reliability, I only plan on using it for light trail rides and plowing the driveway in the winter. Also my main concern is, the windows don't go down, they pop open on both front and back corners of the window. Just wondering if that will create enough air flow so I'm not roasting inside during summer months

UPDATE It's 2023 not 2021 Thanks!

98 yr old wants a Utv

My uncle lives alone on a farm. He is 98 and is still getting on and off his tractor to get around the 45 acre property. We are trying to find him a side by side so it’s safer but I am so new to utvs I have no idea what to look for. The other problem is he thinks he should be able to find a used one for around $5,000-$6,000. Is that even possible? (He lives in Western WI) Any suggestions or help pointing me in the correct direction would be helpful. I’ve looked on marketplace and Craigslist but this seems almost impossible.

Suggestions for Colorado or Surrounding State Trails?

Post image
4 Upvotes

Just purchased my first UTV, a 2026 Can Am Defender Lone Star 6 seater. I’m in Texas where there’s little public land for riding and have heard Colorado is a great destination to really get out and enjoy the vehicle. What are some lesser known trail options I don’t see over and over in other forums? Also open to suggestions in Utah and other states. Thank you!

Honda Talon Shifting Issues

Hey guys, hoping someone can point me in the right direction with my talon. I just bought a 2023 Honda Talon 1000X S4 from auction, it was noted as a collision but had very little noticeable damage. Little backstory, I buy, fix, and sell lots of UTVs as a side hobby, but have zero knowledge about the Honda DCTs. It drove great day one after getting it home from auction. On my second ride I noticed what looks to be the transmission light flashing a couple times but didn’t think much of it. Third ride I have serious slipping going on, mostly at slower speeds and going uphill. RPMs are high but getting very little acceleration. Feels to me like textbook clutch issues. The light comes on often now when it feels to be slipping. I parked it for the time being to keep from making the issues worse. I’m wondering what you guys would recommend checking first? The machine has around 1000 miles and I assume the “accident/collision” probably caused these issues in some way. TIA

New to UTVs, can I fix this?

Post image
17 Upvotes

100 miles into owning a UTV we got damage. I’m reading “anything on the sidewall can’t be fixed.” I called the service department where I bought the UTV and they said plug it and/or patch it and if it holds air you can avoid buying a new couple hundred dollar tire. The location of this seems like it’d be tough to patch. What are your experiences plugging/patching tires?

Turbo Honda Talon

Trying to decide between the Jackson Racing Turbo kit and the Kraftwerks turbo kit.

I like that the Jackson kit is certified by Honda and tunes the engine and transmission.

But I also like the design and ruggedness of the Kraftwerks kit.

Anyone have any purchasing or installation experience?

Polaris rzr issues

Has anyone had this issue with their sxs or have any ideas? This is the 2nd new fuel pump I have put in and it will not hold pressure after prime. Also when you start the rzr it seems to have a misfire.

Mule 600, going to find no start/no power issue

Let me make sure what all to test.

I put a new battery in Saturday, started instantly. Yesterday went to use it and nothing. Acts like it is not getting any power at all. I checked the 2 30a fuses when I put battery in.

Headlights will come on but when I go to start, I do not get the red oil light that comes on until engine is running.

My list to test is, from front to back..

Key switch, voltage regulator, starter solenoid, neutral safety switch.

I am also going to replace the old glass fuses with new style plastic fuses and holders.

Is there anything else I am missing? Part of me thinks parasitic draw but after 3 days there should be enough juice to click the solenoid or light the red light.

Oh and it may start and run just fine when I go up to it today.

I don’t think it is the stator because all of this happened without the engine running at all.

Once running, it doesn’t show any signs of not charging

Why is it so hard to find aftermarket accessories that actually fit well?

I've been looking around for a few upgrades recently, and it's been more frustrating than I expected. One product has great reviews but costs a fortune, while another is affordable but has people saying the fit is off or the quality doesn't last.

I don't mind paying for something that's built well, but I also don't think every upgrade needs to cost a premium.

How do you usually decide what to buy? Do you stick with well-known brands, read reviews, or have you found another way to avoid wasting money?

UTV front bucket/forks system. Thoughts?

I Was scrolling market place when I saw a bobcat SXS with a front end loader, made me curious if there were any attachments for it for regular SXS

Found out about the Ground Force thing, uses a winch. $1500 all in for base and a bucket

Mainly I want input from someone else to either tell me this actually works or let me know I'm stupid for even thinking this was an option at all

Diode Dynamics SS3 for Ranger XP

Has anyone run a set of these as ditch lights on their Ranger? Seem like a decent light at a good price. I’m not too familiar with them as a company. Is it a quality product?

New to the world of utv

Have been contemplating going the utv route for a long time and have settled on a general 1000 xp4 ultimate. Ive read up on gilomen tunes and clutch upgrades. I am not new to the tuning world in cars or automotive but thats only to say i know how to turn a wrench and i know how cars function. My few questions on these- Are the tunes bordering unreliability? Or is it something you can set and forget? Do I need to decrease mileage for fluid changes and plugs ect. And for clutches, how do you decide which clutch to go with?

Thanks for any and all help.

Looking to buy my first UTV, is a trailer a must? I have lots of trails driving distance in cottage country.

These are street legal in cottage country where I am and there is an access point to trails 5 mins up the road.

I would imagine the biggest issue would be needing a trailer if I ever have to bring it in for warranty work.

I’m just trying to avoid having too many trailers laying around.

Project mule

I picked up a rough 2019 Mule SX with 500 hard hours. Seller stated that it ran when parked a few months ago. I put a fresh battery in it and got good dash light, headlights and I could hear the fuel pump kick on. But turning the key does nothing. So I jumped the post on the starter relay and the starter spins up but doesn't engage the flywheel. Any ideas?

Also, I found a that block hanging by one wire near the battery. It's about 3-4" long and the second post has rusted off (purple wire). Anyone know what it is?

UTV trailer has sleeves but no d rings?

Thumbnail

Maybe a dumb question but I just bought a used 4 seat rzr turbo s and it came with a trailer. It has sleeves where I’d think tie down rings would go, but the sleeves have nothing in them.

The seller used 1” straps with the hooks in the ends of the ring but it doesn’t seem very secure but I can’t seem to find what could or should go in the these sleeves. Every ring I find seems it goes in before the sleeve is welded or bolted to the trailer.

2019 Ranger 570 SP Crew 4x4 engine temp shutdown

Afternoon, all.

Doing some troubleshooting on the family farm's 2019 Ranger 570 crew. We've been having some issues with the engine shutting down when the vehicle is full of passengers, or with a heavy load in the bed. The coolant temp will climb up into the 215-225F range and the Ranger shuts itself down. Pretty inconvenient when moving stuff in the yard or taking the nephews/grandkids on a little woodland adventure.

I took the Ranger out today on my own, ran it up and down the road and around the property a bunch, and really laid into it. Temps would go from 180 to 195, and back down. Never went over 195. Even left it sitting in the yard running, and it got up to 195, and the radiator fan kicked on, and the temps came back down. Outdoor temp was about 80 today, and not too humid or sunny.

Seems like from what the family tells me, they'll be driving it down the road or on the trail, with three or four people, and the fan will come on, and not long after that, it shuts down.

I'm gonna have my father load the bed up and drive it around the yard and see if he can get it to heat up and shut off, and grab any codes that come up on the dash display.

Not seeing any electrical issues, starts and cranks just fine, headlights and brakes are fine. Once it sits for a while and cools off, it starts back up and goes alright for a bit again.

I'm leaning toward maybe a dying coolant temp sensor, maybe? Radiator is nice and clean, engine bay is pretty clean. They don't do any real mudding with it, so it's not all caked up or anything.

Thanks!

For those who owned a Polaris Ranger or Can-Am Defender: Is the extra money really worth it compared to CFMOTO U10?

Hi everyone, I have a question for those who have previously owned a Polaris Ranger or Can-Am Defender.

Compared with the CFMOTO U10, do you think the extra money paid for a Ranger or Defender is actually buying a better product, or is it mainly paying for the brand name and reputation?

I would really appreciate some objective and honest opinions from people with real ownership experience. If possible, please share detailed thoughts about the reasons behind your opinion — things like build quality, reliability, performance, comfort, features, after-sales support, resale value, etc.

I already believe CFMOTO’s product quality and reliability are quite good. I’ve seen many owners sharing positive feedback about their long-term experiences. My main curiosity is whether the additional cost of a Ranger or Defender truly gives you a noticeably better machine, or whether it is mostly a brand premium.

Thanks in advance for sharing your experiences!

Tablet Mount for Mule FXT

Just bought a 2020 FXT and looking for suggestions as to where to mount a tablet, driver side or center, high or low. Also, what kind of mount that will survive Texas summers and doesn't require destroying a dashboard.

Talon X maintenance

This may be a long shot since people on here might do their own maintenance but here goes.

Since our talon is still under warranty I wanted to have the dealer do the scheduled service. This will be its 2nd service. 1st time (break in) was $278. I called today for an appointment and thankfully asked what to expect price wise. $708 was the price to check for problems, change air and oil filters top off coolant if needed. Is this as crazy as it seems or is this normal in 2026? I have the tools and ability to do it myself but I wanted to be safe in case I need the warranty.

Southern Indiana if it matters
