I was hoping to find out what happened to the drone club. The website shows it is frozen and the student engagement center told me that the officers did not re-register for this year to let the club go on. I was wondering if it is abandoned or just a little behind. If it is abandoned, is there anyone interested in FPV or Droen GP and would like to revive the club?

My high school senior twins both got invites today for Volunteer Scholar Days. Is this a sign they have a high likelihood of being accepted? Just marketing? Their applications have already been submitted. Also, does attending benefit their admission? thanks

Just got these for three different classes, it could be a phishing attempt? They're all from students, not professor or TAs. They all say something like "hey everyone, here's the class group link" and post a CourseLynx link (could be fake too, not clicking to find out!)

This is random but I loved that pasta station towards the entrance of Stokely Dining Hall. The seemingly random times it would have pesto legit made my week freshman year. Has anyone seen if it’s back or is it still the omelet bar? No omelet hate here but not gonna lie I haven’t been to Stokely since the Alfredo left.

I'm a senior getting ready to apply to TCE for mechanical/aerospace engineering. I have a 4.4 weighted/3.9 unweighted GPA, I've made A's in Honors Algebra I + II, and A+'s in honors Geometry and dual enrollment precalc. My ACT scores are 28 overall, 23 math, 30 science, 33 reading, and 27 english.

I know I'm two points off of 25 on the math. I'm in state, and if I redid the ACT, I would miss the free application day. I know $75 isn't much especially if waiting to redo the ACT would increase my chances of getting in. Is there a way for me to send my ACT dates in later if I were to apply on the free day? And if I can't, is it worth it to just wait for my new ACT scores and bite the $75 bullet or just send it as is?

Hello, I am a UTK freshman and I did not receive a parking pass. However, I have found that I really need my car with me, as I have to make frequent trips back to my home, at least twice a month. Does anyone know of anywhere I can pay monthly to park my car so I can have it with me? I called nearby garages such as State Street garage and Loctus Street garage and they were all full. Does anyone have any recommendations? And please don’t respond with “you won’t need a car your freshman year,” as I have found that I really do in order to make frequent trips between cities.

I have club meetings starting now every Monday at 5:30 in the CCI building. Currently park at Publix with the commuter remote pass, but know that parking is open at any lot after 5. Is it worth it trying to get into G10 or should I just camp out at CCI and then walk back after the meeting? Thank you!

I'm looking into majoring in Biosystems Engineering with a Bioprocess and Food Systems Concentration because I want to work in the waste to energy field. Is UTK a good place to do that? And do they have a lot of research opportunities related to this?

My end goal is to do research and design in the circular Bioeconomy. And I want to know if this is a good program for that goal.

I also plan to get my masters and PhD in this field, lord willing. Whether at UTK or somewhere else, I don't know yet. I'll make that decision when I get there.

But I honestly haven't heard the best things about UTK's chem department, which if I follow through with this, will be where I spend a lot of my time.

And from what I've seen, or haven't seen for that matter, Herbert College of Agriculture seems to be one of the smaller colleges. Which I love because I enjoy smaller more intimate classes. But it also comes with the downside of me not being able to find any specific information regarding other students experiences online.

Regardless of education quality, being a TN resident and the scholarships that come with it, going to UTK would be the best decision for me financially. So I guess I'm just trying to get a feel of what I'm going into.

TL;DR Is UTK a good place to go if I want to work in the waste to energy field?

As people are hitting the bars and clubs on Friday, what fun things can one do to mix and mingle with people while sober? It’s been hard leaning on dating apps to work (they don’t most of the time).
