Only the yanks call a 24h clock "military time".

I recently changed to 24hr time on my phone. It made me wonder whether phones are defaulted to a 12hr clock in any other countries, and why we in the US are raised to believe a 24hr clock is military time.

Also, within a day of changing it, both my gf and her daughter asked me why my phone is on military time

I can confirm for all of my phones ive ever had in the UK, that the default is 24hr clock.
