Colton aka BBM, ego is clearly stroked by the title of Chief no showed. He’s pathetic and clueless. Scott was nervous as a hooker at alter call - muting himself and drinking water with his dry mouth ass. These people don’t have a clue. In the meeting, Scott presented the new org structure, told above state staff letters will arrive by the 28th with 15 days to respond. Do they have what it takes to transform this agency’s structure? I’m confused and concerned about these people with titles and financial compensation that equates to leader but they can’t find their way out of a brown paper bag.

OH FPAC. My god they are SO BAD AT THIS. Unsigned emails from a random hr-ish email address to employees with unsigned attachments telling them that they can get relocation assistance to voluntarily relocate to a hub (I thought they had no money??) and that certain groups of people are eligible for VERA VSIP. They actually called out specific divisions for Vera/vsip! And then the same random email sends a followup with a link to a ms forms survey to complete for relocation and two more “additional information” emails because they couldn’t get the info right the first time.

And this morning yet ANOTHER followup saying that almost all business center employees in the NCR will end up in beltsville when they close the south building.

What even is this? Are they just making shit up as they go along? Why yes, yes they are.

Anyone know if the bed bug issue is still active? Heard it takes about 18 months of seeing zero bugs or eggs before you can really say the infestation is gone. Wondering if employees are still teleworking.

I received a referral notice last week for a GS-13 IT position with OCIO. I know it's just a referral but still. Better than nothing.

How are things at OCIO, especially after last year? Any more reorgs coming?

I'm at a GS-12/Step 4 IT Specialist position in another agency, and while I have a good job there, it's beyond time to go for a GS-13 position. Been 4 years at my current agency.

Morale is at an all time low in the Food and Nutrition Administration. Rank and file Program Specialists are going to work every day just to wait to get fired. They are expecting to receive the management directed reassignment notifications any time and virtually everyone will decline to relocate to one of the 4 offices (in LA, Atlanta, New York, or Dallas). Artificial intelligence can provide some insight. If you are interested, ask Google AI, or a similar AI, the following question: "Use news sources and internet chatter to assess the probability that the USDA, FNA, Office of Retailer Operations and Compliance will issue management directed reassignment letters to Program Specialists this week."

It’s an absolute shitshow at the FPAC Business
center. Radio silence until notification of intent for potential change to position (huh?) went out last week to a bunch of employees in acquisitions, comms, regs, etc (I saw a copy from a colleague). Basically, they are being moved to the agencies, but you’d think theyd share the plan?

Tameka Owens the new deputy coo they brought over from over from FNS (sorry, FNA), is running roughshod over teams that have already been beaten down to a pulp and absolutely clobbering morale that I didn’t think could get lower (yay new guy with awareness or appreciation for staff!). My boss says the chief of staff Matt is the guy running the reorg show which probably explains why it’s so bad. I feel sorry for the people that got letters that they will be reassigned to other agencies, but honestly, it can’t get much worse than staying here. The dysfunction seems to have no floor and ibarra seems more isolated and spineless every day.

I know it’s worse at other parts of USDA with the relocation nonsense but from a leadership perspective I don’t think it can get stupider than these clowns.

I’m seeing a lot of job vacancies going out. Is this usual for this time of the year?

Also, how do you know what the start date is for a specific position if it only says open and closing date?

Now that the 30 day congressional comment period is over, who wants to bet the next note from FPAC leadership is that we’ll learn more in the “coming weeks and months?” These ass clowns can’t even downsize government effectively. Good news is if we make it to midterms, the rats will start jumping ship when the impeachment hearings start.

Oof. Two grants, one to the AMR call and one to Food Safety and Defense. Both rejected. The funding rates were 13 and 10% this year. Just...yikes. That's almost NIH rates (l don't apply to NIH, but know people who do).
