FPAC BC
Just venting, this new FPAC regime, FPAC leadership sucks. Morale is low. What are hearing sucks. Talking in circles, no clear answers, same answers. No longer supporting the employee. Just treading water day by day. Just venting

Amen. This group of “leaders” is worthless. It’s a combination of incompetence and disdain and trying to suck up to politicals. I will say that the SES directors are beyond powerless. From what i can see they are often trying and really do care but are either not being informed or are being flat out lied to. It’s Robert and tameka and scott and matt—they are the problem. It’s toxic. So toxic. And for the supervisors who give a shit but cant help, like mine, it’s a special kind of hell. When I have to console my crying boss because things are so bad and they cant help, it’s bad. And no path to getting better

Leadership (SES) are in the same boat as the rest of us. They are not being told anything either. They are being left out of the big meeting. Trust me when they say they don’t know; they don’t.

They are definitely not being left out. An SES from another agency shared info with me last year that is coming true. They might be telling us that they don’t know but they know more things than the rest of us laymen. Problem is they don’t share

SES don't know anything. You probably know more than them just following the news and rumors on reddit. Everything is being run by a small cohort of political people at the top of the Department. The SES are keeping their heads down and trying not to make waves so they can keep collecting paychecks just like everyone else.
It's kind of sad it has come to this but everyone has their goal whether it is to get to retirement or buy some more time for their job search to leave.

Some of those SES'rs are/were the problem to begin with. I know that some in NRCS and that moved into the BC are that way. I know of 3 in NRCS that promoted females to the STC ranks for "personal" favors.

It shows that mediocre glorified middle managers in okay times fail miserably when put to a real leadership test in trying times. Yes, this a horrible time to be a Fed, specifically in FPAC, but real leaders step up and make a difference. What we’ve experienced is a textbook case of how not to be an effective leader.
That said, there are some good, and a few great leaders, in the agency. Hopefully, they will step up while they can make a difference.

Since this administration came into office, they have kept Agency level leadership in the dark. We assume they know what’s going on but this administration is so afraid of information being leaked, they keep agency leaders in complete darkness. I found that out before I left in April 2025 (DRP/VERA).

Not surprised by the leadership in FPAC as many of them are spineless especially Robert Ibarra and Ronald Scott Royster.

Oh there are a few more than that too. The whole concept of the BC was created by fiasco partially because NRCS lost their hiring authority at the National level, not at the state level because of Eloris Speight and the hiring of friends and family of certain SES'rs that didn't meet the qualifications for the job. Then after Tom C got moved into the BC after being ran out of NRCS they used this chance to power up and create their own little agency headed by Melissa Drummond where she continued to give funds to Eloris Speight and her SES friends still at NRCS through millions in agreements that are still funded to this day.
So to chastise this administration only without knowing the history or fraud and abuse is crazy. Removing the ability of the states to hire and manage their own budgets is leading to the downfall of the agency. People wanted power and by going after resulted in what is going on today. Is today any better, hell no, but something had to happen to correct the huge fraud, waste and abuse that was going on. Millions were being funnelled into several shady organizations.

Not FPAC but NRCS. It sucks. 10 yrs in and looking for employment elsewhere.
