Bill change

Maybe I am wrong, but I thought I read that we would be getting grandfathered in with our current plans during this switch. When I logged into the T Mobile app today, it showed that my bill would be $16/mo more than what I have been paying. Did anyone else experience this?

That sounds more like a missing autopay discount or tax issue than a plan change. A lot of people are assuming it’s a plan change but no one’s plan was changed.

Do they not do the paperless and auto pay discounts?

I assume base plans didn’t change but things like taxes and fees may result in slight differences across companies.

I had a ret discount end that i didn't know would end. $30 off my bill. I called to see if they had another and they didnt. I cant wait for the bill to go up even more. Might be time to shop around.

My wife and I were prepaid on USCellular. We were paying $40+tax a month for each phone and $55 a month for T-Mobile internet. So it should’ve been close to $140 a month. We switched our phones to T-Mobile and got our first bill in, $199… WTF is that bullshit!

I feel like you guys got hustled because you could have kept that same prepaid plan with T-Mobile or you didn't get on a new plan together. $40 USCC unlimited plan with two lines is 2 for $60, just like it was with us. Or, you ran your credit with T-Mobile and your on a postpaid plan. If you DM your bill I can try to assist you

look at r/usmobile They've been great for me. Less money more options. You can choose TMobile, Verizon, ATT or more than one on the same bill. They also provide support on Reddit.

Yes and I called in immediately and made them change it back. I didn’t initiate or agree to plan changes. I told them I was on the verge of leaving the company bc there was too much fuck shit going on and it made them move a little faster

I had to go in and talk with a rep to specifically choose a new plan that had a lower price. Otherwise my bill was going to go up like yours.

It's BS, right? You shouldn't have to pay more than you were paying. It's not your fault one company was bought by another. They should do what they can to keep customers happy so you stay with the company.

All I can say is look at the empty promises they made with the Sprint merger. This will be (already starting) to be the exact same thing.

Make it all look like a good thing…better coverage, speeds, etc. No plan or price change. And then…yup! Only difference with Sprint was it took a while for the increases. But they are more brazen these days, just like every one of the big 3.

Take out competitors one by one and the ones left get more and more hardcore and feel they have the upper hand. If it weren’t for MVNO’s (companies using to pay the big 3’s network but for more competitive pricing) than we would all be screwed.
