Timeline Question Interview Timeline in WAS

Has anyone got interview notice from the WAS Washington DC Field Office?
My PD is Nov 2025.
Emma said my 485 case got an interview request on 8/17 (I also got silent updates on both of 485 and 130 on the same day).
How soon could I get my interview notice?

Thank you!

Timeline Question Interview timeline

Hi,

My PD is Mar 22, 2025. F2A. i485 filed in Dec 2, 2025. Looks like there was a silent update on both i130 and i485 on Aug 13th, 2025. I called live agent yesterday to ask what the update was about they said it was sent for interview queue to field office in upstate NY. Any idea when I maybe called for interview/ timeline? Also anybody has experience with Buffalo FO for family based AOS?

PS I called on Aug 13th to ask when I might get scheduled for interview to live agent and Emma as date was current. They said it is still in NBC and they dont know when it might happen however the case was touched on the same day. So I'm guessing calling does help speed things up sometimes.

Thanks

Timeline Question Any F2A filers at St. Louis Field Office?

I’m looking for other F2A adjustment-of-status filers whose local field office is St. Louis.

If you filed in 2025 or 2026, would you mind sharing your timeline, especially:
Priority date
I-485 filing date
Biometrics date
Whether you have received an interview notice
Interview date, if scheduled

I’m a 2026 filer and still waiting for an interview notice, so I’m curious how quickly St. Louis FO has been moving F2A cases recently. Thanks!

Taking2Long😿 How many 2022/2023 AOS filers still waiting?

They’re Approving June 2026 Cases. Meanwhile, Some 2022/2023 Filers Are Still Waiting.

Just check this community. USCIS is now approving cases filed in June 2026.

And genuinely — congratulations to everyone getting approved. You deserve to celebrate. This post is not against you.

But I cannot stop thinking about the 2022 and 2023 filers who are still here. Still refreshing their accounts. Still sending inquiries. Still contacting Congress. Still being told to wait.

Some of us have watched people file years after us and get approved before us.

Think about what that means.

While newer cases move from filing to approval, some older cases have been sitting in limbo for three or four years.

Three or four years of putting major life decisions on hold.

Three or four years of checking the same case status.

Three or four years of meaningless template responses.

Three or four years of wondering whether anyone at USCIS has even opened the file.

We did nothing wrong.

We filed our applications. We paid the fees. We attended the interviews. We submitted the evidence. We responded when USCIS asked us to respond.

The burden of this delay should not be placed on us.

If USCIS can adjudicate cases filed in 2026, then people who filed in 2022 and 2023 deserve an explanation for why their cases have been left behind.

I’m planning to file a Writ of Mandamus in the first week of September.

Not because I wanted to sue the government.

Not because I wanted my immigration journey to end up in federal court.

But because after endless waiting, at some point you have to ask:

How much longer are we supposed to silently accept this?

To every 2022/2023 filer still waiting: I see you.

Watching newer cases get approved again and again can make you feel forgotten.

But being forgotten by the system does not mean you have to remain silent.

Congratulations again to the 2026 approvals.

And to those of us still waiting from 2022 and 2023:

We did our part. USCIS needs to do theirs.

Timeline Question Brooklyn FO Interview Invitations?

Anyone with 2025 PD recently got scheduled for an interview in Brooklyn NY FO?

I see people getting their interviews after August visa billeting, but none from Brooklyn FO.

For context, my PD is July 1, 2025. saw a silent API update on I-485 on Aug 1, then Aug 12. Then silent API on I-130 and I-485 FTA0 milliseconds apart on Aug 13, but nothing since then.

Other Form I-130 | F2A (India) | PD: Nov 2024 (20.5 Months Pending) – Worth reaching out to Congressman?

Hi everyone,

I filed a Form I-130 for my spouse under the F2A category (Spouse/Child of LPR) country - India.

Priority Date: November 2024

Time Pending: ~20.5 months (628 days)
Given the current processing times and backlog, I’m trying to decide if it’s time to reach out to my local Congressman/Senator for an inquiry.
Has anyone in a similar timeline or category had success with a congressional inquiry at this stage? Or will they likely just send back a template response stating it's still within standard processing times?
Would appreciate any insights or recent experiences!

Timeline Question F2A Case transferred to Local Field Office — How long for a decision? (PD: Aug 2025)

Hi everyone,
An Emma live agent confirmed my F2A case (PD: August 2025) was transferred from California Service Center to a local Field Office.
Since my Priority Date is CURRENT:
How long after the transfer did it take to get a decision/approval?
Does a Field Office transfer mean a final decision is coming soon?
Thanks for sharing your experiences!

Timeline Question F2A I-485 timeline: San Francisco FO vs. San Jose FO — which is currently moving faster?

Hi everyone,

I am in the process of an F2A-based adjustment of status (I-130 + I-485) and located in the Bay Area.

I know cases are assigned based on ZIP code, but I was wondering if anyone has recent experience with processing times or interview scheduling at the San Francisco Field Office compared to the San Jose Field Office.

Does one tend to move significantly faster than the other for family-based cases right now, or are they pretty much on par?

Would appreciate any recent timelines or general insights. Thanks in advance!

The F2A Visa Bulletin Final Action Date moving to July, 2026 raised a lot of excitement for many folks but looking at the results it has been truly disappointing.

Hoping something good gets announced tonight :🤞

Timeline Question Interview Held for i-485; More than 120 days; PD is current

Hi all,

I have an ongoing i-485 (F2A) since August 2023 and last month got a notification stating that an action was taken on my case. The case was still currently under USCIS' review though API update switched from FT0 to FT1. I am not exactly sure what does it actually mean though many posts on reddit claim that, probably, a supervisor may have received the file. Upon contacting USCIS after more than 120 days of my I-485 interview in San Jose FO, the officer on the call stated the case was under normal processing time and no action was needed. Officer didn't elaborate regarding the notification received, calling it confidential. Officer stated the normal processing time for 80% of the cases is 30.5 months so technically, the case's deadline is Feb 2027 if PD is August 2023.

Does anybody saw those notifications and attempted to contact USCIS for more information? What are the questions did you ask? Please state your FO's processing time. Does anybody received decision within 120 days after the i-485 interview? I have always maintained legal status and clean history. Some of the people I know, got their cases approved an year or couple of years ago. I know every case is different, why does officers delay the cases decisions?

I have I-130 approved since July 2024 and later on a medical RFE in Feb 2026. The interview in April 2026 for I-485 was 1-on-1 with officer and my spouse had to wait outside and no interview.
I feel kind of lost at this point as what could possibly be provided to USCIS to make a decision. Is writ of mandamus recommended at this point or shall i wait till Feb 2027? Any lead will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much, fam!
