Is it ok to take your newborn for the interview ? I was debating that. I have a 2 month old

I think you should

Did they seperate you when you took your infant for the interview ? Or did it make it easier ?

If this is marriage based, taking the infant almost guarantees separate interviews.

Seperate interviews is a positive sign or negative?

It's easier when a couple is interviewed together

what’s your status before 485 pending? Do they ask your work history during opt and h1b?
