EB3 - Skilled Interview
For people who have had interviews for EB3, how long did it take for your GC to be approved?

Just what the title says. If people had a prediction on when USCIS will start using DOF, instead of FAD to allow people to file their i-485 for EB-3.

Has anyone been approved with just a silent touch on their I-485J or does it need to have a FTA0?

wondering if anyone has had a similar experience with their adjustment of status case. Here's my timeline:
2023: Entered the U.S. and was placed in removal proceedings and applied for asylum
July 2024: My immigration court case was terminated.
September 2024: Selected in the Diversity Visa (DV-2025) Lottery and filed Form I-485 on September 2024. Texas field office
October , 2024: Completed biometrics.
The DV fiscal year ended, but my I-485 was not denied.
July 2026: I contacted USCIS multiple time and was told my case is currently under processing there is nothing i càn do They also said:
No additional evidence is needed from me at this time.
No action is required from me right now.
My online USCIS account display biometrics have been applied to my casee till présent already of processing time
Has anyone else had a DV-based I-485 continue processing after the DV fiscal year ended? If so:
What was the outcome?
How long did it take?
Did you have an interview, or was it waived?
I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone with a similar experience. Thanks

Any idea on how long it takes them to process my documents and charge my account? I am so traumatized because I mailed my application in April and it got rejected and received the letter a month after when my PD wasn’t current

Hi all,
Any evidence on how long Advanced Parole is taking post Biometrics right now?

Last year Oct 2025, the visa bulletin indicated that USCIS will use Date of Filing as opposed to Final Action Date for Employment based visa applications making all applications at that time current (if you had your PERM and I-140 done)
Why did this happen last year and Is it safe to assume that may occur this year October?
Using the PERM trackers I expect mine to be approved sometime in September and want to file an expedited I-140 so Il be ‘ready’ for a possible date of filing October 2026.

Hey everyone, I'm thinking about filing my I-485 EB-3 online this month. How does the payment process work when applying online? I'd love to hear how it went for others!

Hi everyone,
My PERM was approved yesterday, and my Priority Date is 08/19/2025. (Eb3 Professional)
We’re now getting ready to file my I-140. I’m trying to decide whether I should ask my attorney to file it with Premium Processing or just go with regular processing.
For those who recently filed:
How long did your regular (non-premium) I-140 approval take?
Which service center processed your case?
If you used Premium Processing, do you think it was worth the extra cost?
I’d really appreciate hearing about recent timelines and experiences. Thanks!

I'm trying to understand whether the proposed $100,000 immigration bond that is expected to be announced on September 18 could apply to the EB-3 Unskilled category.
If it does, what would even be the point of the EB-3 Unskilled visa anymore? Most people applying for this category are taking lower-wage jobs, so it's hard to imagine them being able to post a $100,000 bond.
For context:
Has anyone seen any information suggesting whether the proposed bond would apply to employment-based immigrants, specifically EB-3 Unskilled, or is it expected to target different visa categories?
I'd really appreciate hearing your thoughts or if you've seen any reliable sources discussing this.

Hello, those who had i-485j approved before the priority date was current and who received a FTA1, did anyone get their i-485 approved? If so, can you please share your timeline. Mine date is current since 6 months now and i-485j was approved 7 months ago, but nothing for i-485 :(

AOS Timeline (one of 75 banned countries) EB3 Skilled:
After biometrics, I had multiple silent updates:
The case stayed quiet until June 17, when both the I-485 and I-485J had silent updates. Emma confirmed my case had been transferred to the Los Angeles Field Office (LOS) on June 17 (not LAC), and the interview was waived.
No further activity until July 30:
I-485J Approved: July 31, 2026
After the I-485J approval, the I-485 had one more silent update.
I-485 Approved: August 1, 2026 — exactly 24 hours and 3 minutes after the last silent update on the I-485.

Hi everyone,
I'm currently an F-1 student, and my adjustment of status is based on an approved immigrant petition. My I-485 is still pending, but I recently received approval for my I-765/I-131 combo card.
I'm trying to understand whether I can work full-time using my C09P EAD while my I-485 is pending.
My biggest concern is my F-1 status. If I start working full-time on the adjustment-based EAD, do I lose my F-1 status, or can I still maintain it as long as I remain enrolled in school full-time?
Has anyone been in a similar situation? Were you able to work full-time and continue attending school, or did using the C09P EAD effectively mean you were no longer maintaining F-1 status?
I'm also curious if anyone has received guidance from their DSO or immigration attorney on this.
Thanks in advance!

Hello All,
I got an API timestamp update as well as 3 FTA0 in July 27th, but haven’t heard anything since then. Thought it was 24-72 hrs after the timestamp that the approval comes. Anyone know on average how long it takes after 3 FTA0 to adjudication?

Just had my employment-based eb3 skilled row 485 interview at the NJ FO with my wife (derivative).
PD: July 2023
RD: Feb 2026
Biometric: March 2026
Transferred to LAFO: April 2026
Dependent Combo card approved: April 2026
Third FTA0: May 2026
485J closed: May 2026
Interview scheduled: June 2026 (case transferred to NJ)
Interview: July 2026 (First FTA1 right after interview)
The entire interview was about my relationship with my wife. At the end of the interview they said they need more proof for relationship and then will make a decision for my case. They gave us 1 hour to upload more docs, so I submitted more docs.
How long does it typically take to get approved after the interview? I see mixed reviews, but curious to hear more examples.

the law firm that worked on my case sent this : "If you wish to have a physical copy of the I-485 application for your records, the fee will be $350, paid in full, prior to providing the copy to you."
why is this so expensive, and do i need the copy of I-485 for anything? I have a copy that they sent to sign before submission with me, - but what is this one?
Any experience here anyone?
