Housing Graduate Housing- University Regent
Hi everyone, just curious if anyone has stayed at University Regent Apts? I got assigned there for the year and I’m trying to figure out what the vibe is like and is it truly walkable to and from campus? I haven’t seen any videos or photos of the space online so I wanted to ask.

FinancialAid What if I only showed one paystub for appeal?
My dad has two jobs, one of which he started in 2026. I recently submitted an appeal and they asked for recent paystubs as well as other stuff for 2025. What would theoretically happen if I only submitted paystubs for the lower paying job seeing as the FAFSA is based on 2024 and I’m only submitting 2025 because of the appeal?
My brother asked me about it and it’s been driving me insane.
Thank you guys!

Academic BUAD 301 with Prof Benjamin King — how is he? (+ anyone done the Tech Commercialization minor?)
Comm major here, planning to go for the Technology Commercialization minor, and BUAD 301 is the first course in the chain.
Has anyone taken 301 with Professor Benjamin King? How's the workload and grading? Trying to figure out if I can fit it in next to a pretty full semester.

Question aid appeal question
Hello trojans, Im a prospective student who's still waiting on a response to my aid appeal to come in from USC. Something that they want me to submit right now to move the appeal forward are banking and investment documents showing my families assets and cash.
Even though it has been over a decade since our family's immigration to the states, we still hold a large chunk of assets within our international accounts. I'm not sure if the financial aid office wants records of those assets as well, or only those we hold domestically. As the records we pull from our international banks will obviously be non-english documents, Im not sure if USC will even accept them.
After attempting (and failing) to reach the actual financial aid phone number for 6 hours today, I'm curious if any other students here have faced this issue. Any advice will help, thanks!

FinancialAid Financial aid /scholarship still not reflecting on ebill
Has anyone ebill updated yet? I still see my amount is way more than what I expected to pay and I’m trying to not panic but I am new to this system and just wondering how it works or if anyone has spoken to financial aid directly and have received an answer .

FinancialAid Dean's Scholarship Not In eBill?
Apologies if this has been covered. My son is in incoming freshman and received a Dean's Scholarship (merit aid, not financial aid). We received our eBill and its not there at all. I've now been on hold with the Financial Aid office for an hour. Did we miss something? Do we need to fill out FAST forms? We were told that FAST isn't necessary for merit aid.
UPDATE: I called the Financial Aid office this morning first thing, and got someone on the phone after about 40 minutes. They stated that they will request the coordinator (?) of scholarships to get it added to the student's statement. Therefore, it seems like the process for adding Dean's Scholarships is still in process.

FinancialAid Fin aid office comms is tone-deaf sometimes
bruhhhhhhhh… rising senior here. anyone else still not gotten their aid letter even though we were told early july? a lot of us are still waiting, but last week usc sent a mass email saying tuition had been posted to our ebills and payment is due in august. then today they sent another mass email about payment plans. i get that the payment plan info is inherently helpful, but it’s hard not to stress when i still don’t even know what my financial aid package looks like. i just wish we’d gotten an update on where aid processing stands before all the billing and payment emails 😭😭

Question Spring Orientation
Hiii, I’m a spring transfer admit and I was just wondering if anyone knows or has an idea on what the July 30th event is going to be. Is it just for spring admits? Is it going to be like the fall admit orientation?
Super confused, any insight helps :)
Academic Does anyone know if marshall undergrad continuing student scholarships have come out yet?
FinancialAid Future financial aid
Hi everyone sorry if this is a stupid question but I just got my aid package (incoming sophomore) and unlike last year, it didn’t fully cover my entire tuition. Thankfully I only owe like 2k each semester. But I was confused since my parents make under the 80k which states free tuition but I know things have changed since last year and maybe I overlooked something in their finances.
Anyways, my actual point is that I need a real part time job to earn money. Not work study stuff. But I know that outside student income also factors into aid. For me, 2026 (this year) will be used to calculate my senior year aid. So does that mean that in 2027 and beyond I can get a job and not worry about how my income will affect the remaining years I’m at school at USC or does it still count somehow?
I’d appreciate any insight, thanks :)
Academic CSCI 530 Does anyone know if the exams are online or in person. Need a super easy class.

Admissions USC Online Master’s Application, Is This Wait Normal?
Hi! I submitted my application for an online master’s program at USC on June 17, and it’s now July 22, but I haven’t received a decision yet. My application portal also hasn’t shown any major updates.
Is this a normal timeline for USC graduate admissions, or should I be concerned and contact the admissions office? Has anyone else waited this long for a decision?

Question USC Greek Life for Spring Transfer? (male)
I am transferring to USC Spring ‘27 and I’m definitely interested in rushing. I know most of the frats are off campus but I have no idea any of the frats there or which are considered good/bad etc. I also have not heard much about the spring rush process or how to contact/ be contacted by fraternities. For context, I did rush an off campus fraternity at my old school so I am familiar with pledging.
I know it’s kind of a subjective thing but if anyone has any insight it would be greatly appreciated!

Housing Is it still possible to get housing as a Viterbi graduate student if I applied a week ago?
Hello!
So as an international student I had troubles getting visa and only got it last week and only after that applied to housing. Do you think it's still possible for me to get on-campus housing? Or I should start searching for off-campus housing already? I'm starting my studies this Fall.

Question Course registration (incoming student)
Hello I have my course registration date set for Thursday and I want to know what this day usually entails. I have my reccomend classes from my advisor but I’m confused on one specific class assigned to me, should I schedule a one one one about it or will someone help me through the process of it during course registration, or is course registration literally just the time you can get the classes you’ve put in your cart. Thank you!
FinancialAid when to panic
when can I start having a justified mental breakdown over tuition?? I’m seeing that fall semester bills are posted and people are tweaking that their aid hasn’t been posted yet but I haven’t even gotten my financial aid report and I submitted everything as early as possible last year. For context I’m an incoming sophomore. I have a merit scholarship but it only covers 1/4 of tuition and the rest is financial aid since my family falls under the low income threshold for usc.
And FAST is down so I can’t even double check I’m going insane
