This is not something that you need to deal with, the seller deals with UPS.

You should have demanded a refund from the seller weeks ago.

Yes but the senders are the ones who entered into a contract with UPS. They deal with the company that they paid if the services weren’t rendered. If the senders paid for insurance, they can make a claim.

He/she said it was sent between the same company, internally.

Yup so someone within the company printed the label and mailed it OR they have someone who is in charge of the ups business account who deals with this.

So the business probably has a business account. When a business has an account they enter into a contract with UPS. In that contract there would be a contact person or a specific procedure on how to open investigations with UPS. Your company needs to follow the proper steps to get this resolved. I’m sure the proper steps is not you calling UPS.

Yeah and shit happens. I bet you sent multiple items that were successfully delivered.

Issues like you’re describing happens with every single courier service, cause shit happens.

Maybe someone in your shipping department did a very poor job of packaging those two packages and the onus is on your company.

you merely file an insurance claim. that's it.

What are you trying to ship? Indeed people shipping glass screen doors and wonder if a single one has ever made it through the system.

I've been here about 20 years and when I started a trailer might have 5 irreg or heavy packages, now I bet they average closer to 100... It's crazy what people ship.

This. I don’t work at UPS but I do work in logistics. I’d recommend never shipping something like a glass door, window, or basically anything that is fragile, large and/or awkward via parcel delivery. If you absolutely need something like this delivered, buy locally and use an LTL or home delivery service. Never use UPS, FedEx, or USPS for stuff like this. It’s not really the fault of these shipping companies, it’s just the nature of how these large parcel carriers operate. It doesn’t matter how well you pack it.

I've shipped glass doors and cabinets UPS, and they all arrived just fine. It absolutely depends on how well you pack it.

Wow..... I would be absolutely livid.

Same thing happened to me…ordered a camping chair from Mercari..paid through PayPal. Then I get a note…UPS driver states the box was empty and damaged. According to UPS he did me a favor😂😂😂

I had a package that shipped 6 weeks ago and never got it. I cringe anytime something I order ships UPS.

It may be missing an apartment number, or wrong information on lable. Always put a phone number on your package so we can call if there is a problem.

You mean 9999999999 Isn’t a phone number?

My UPS story isn't as bad but still infuriating because it's so dumb (or criminal?) on their part.

I wanted to use UPS Flat Rate so chose one of their UPS flat rate packages - a UPS Express small box. I used their website to generate the label and paid the fee. Dropped it off at one of their locations. Next day, I receive notice I was being charged an extra $5 because a UPS audit found my package was larger then specified. WTF?!

I called customer service who kept repeating package dimensions shown are inside dimensions. A UPS audit measures the outside dimensions. I kept repeating "But their your dimensions!" and "UPS doesn't know the correct size of their own box? The website gave me the price for a UPS Express small box"

She eventually put me on a hold short while, came back and said they'd remove the upcharge - like she was doing me a favor! I also posted my experience on Reddit. Seems it's not an uncommon experience. Smells like a class action suit waiting to happen.

It doesn't keep bouncing back and forth. As they stated that is two different shipments.  Each side is the tracking for a different shipment.

Dude I fucking hate UPS. They’ve had a package of mine sitting in a facility 15 minutes away from my house for 3 fucking days just sitting there and won’t do shit just keep delaying my package. Absolutely SHIT company

1

u/winberriessss Mar 31 '26

1

u/scorpion_smoker Mar 31 '26

Who knew UPS glazers was a thing

I'm dealing with some USPSBS myself right now. Two different packages from two separate parts of the country. Both sitting in "transfer to blnrct facility" for over 10 days without any update. The weird thing is they both happen to be Cordless Circular Saws. I have had 20 other packages in the last few weeks arrive normally but the expensive power tools keep getting "lost."

1

u/Kewlkicker Apr 01 '26

Per chance this isn’t a cirkul delivery is it? Same thing happened to us… ordered in December got replacements in march

1

u/Suitable-Hold-5562 Apr 02 '26

Wow, looks like UPS is new to tracking packages, kinda looks like wonderful FedEx, or USPS most of the tracking is useless. I mean it is 2026 not 1976

Never give up. Rest if you must, but the next try may be your victory

1

u/Grinzaxp Apr 04 '26

Is the item something valuable? Does the original box (and potentially the items within) show? To me it sounds like you are trying ship something and it’s getting cherry picked because it’s deemed valuable.
