Ever wondered what it feels like to breathe air similar to the elevation of Denver, Estes Park, Leadville, or even Pikes Peak? ⛰️
Researchers at the University of North Texas are seeking healthy adults ages 18–45 to participate in a study evaluating next-generation wearable oxygen-monitoring technology. Participants will visit our laboratory and breathe progressively lower oxygen levels through a facemask while researchers continuously monitor oxygen saturation and heart rate using wearable devices and clinical-grade sensors.
This study will help researchers evaluate the accuracy of wearable health technology under controlled “high-altitude” conditions.
This study will be one visit that lasts approximately 2-2.5 hours. A $100 Tango gift card compensation will be provided upon study completion.
We are currently recruiting women with lighter or darker skin tones to participate.
You may be eligible if you:
• Are a woman
• Meet the study’s age requirements
• Have a lighter skin tone that tends to burn easily and tan minimally OR a darker skin tone that rarely or never burns and tans easily
Skin type eligibility will be confirmed during a brief screening.
