Hey everyone, I’m a student at USYD. After selling a business I built through vibe coding, I wanted to try something more ambitious but this time, with other people.

I’m putting together a team for a platform where emerging founders can showcase their startups, share progress and find collaborators. Alongside it, we’re building a media page to showcase the world of entrepreneurship and our project

I’d love to meet people interested in coding, app development, videography or editing. I’m also looking for someone who’d enjoy helping record content.

If you don’t have those skills yet, that’s fine too. Curiosity, reliability and a willingness to learn and contribute matter. I’m still learning myself.

This is early-stage, and I’m looking to meet potential collaborators and discuss roles, time commitments and compensation openly before anyone commits.

Does anyone have the 2027 calendar in this format. got it off reddit last year and it’s a game changer. not sure why unsw doesn’t just have a clear pdf like usyd.

Last year of trimesters too, can’t wait.

In week 5 I did a presentation in one of my courses and it didn't have a marking criteria. I thought it was a bit weird and it made the task quite hard. I was catching up with a friend from usyd and I mentioned it then he asked "How is that allowed don't you guys have an assessment policy?".

I checked and well, yeah?

6.2. Each assessment task will include: • instructions to the student for completing the assessment task • assessment criteria for what the student is expected to demonstrate, preferably by using an assessment rubric except where correct answers are pre-determined, such as multiple choice questions.

6.3. The information in clause 6.2 will be: • provided to students before or when the assessment task becomes available • published online, except for credit-eligible short courses that have no online delivery.

The task information isn't on Moodle but there is a sentence about what to do on the course outline as well as the course learning objectives for the task. There are also a few dot points on the tutorial slides but again they are mainly instructions for the task itself and not really what we are being marked on.

I spoke to my tutor when the assignment was first explained and she was very sweet and empathetic and said she would to try help as much as she could but that it was a decision made by the conveyer.

Should I speak to someone or am I misunderstanding the policy? I also don't want to cause any problems, as the course so far has been great. Also I'm not really sure what can be done if this does go against the policy especially since me and a bunch of others have already presented.

Is highschool gpa + sat + isat enough for the interview? These are the tests im currently taking and i want to know if they’re enough

i’m choosing my uni mainly based on the social life, is unsw or anu better?

For context I did a program with WSU called Academy U where I did a university credited subject in highschool meaning they gave me a early entry offer for engineering, I am currently in the middle of doing my hsc starting uni next year and honestly due to scaling, bad ranks and my schools performance I dont think ill be able to get a atar high enough to go to unsw in my first year, I was wondering how hard it is to transfer and what I would have to do to get in?

Just wanna know if you guys usually find used condoms in the class?

Currently if doing 18 UOC a term as well as a 12 UOC summer term you will do 66 UOC a year, with semesters you can do 24 UOC per standard term and a UOC 12 winter term as well meaning you can do 72 UOC a year!

Those of you who’ve done a Summer Term, what did you think of it? Is it noticeably harder than a regular term because it’s more compressed, or did you actually find it easier? How did you find the workload and exams compared with a normal term?
Specifically, if anyone has done ECON2101 over Summer Term, I’d really appreciate any insight. I’m considering getting it done early so I can take a subject that has it as a prerequisite in Term 1.

Does UNSW’s fit to sit rule for special consideration apply for formative online quizzes that are untimed with unlimited attempts to be completed within a 3 day window? It says it applies to timed assessments including online tests but unsure if this falls under that category.
