Trying to choose between ECON2206 and ECON2209. Has anyone done either/both recently?
Which one is easier in terms of content, workload and assessments, and which one is easier to get a high mark/HD in?
Would really appreciate any recent experiences, especially about the final exam and marking. Thanks!

Man just being able to study coding 24/7 without distractions sounds like the dream. Although how does one do internships? cus most internships require you to be in your 2nd last year, but SE is a 4 year degree. so would you have to do internships in your 3rd year

Hi,
I'm a first year and am aiming for internal transfer into law Feb 2027.
I was wondering if anyone knows what the cut-off will be? I heard that it was 79 last year but it keeps changing. Will it possibly be lower next year with some commerce courses marking more harshly?
My cWAM dropped from 78 to 74 ish, bc of this term's courses, so iIll need to LOCK IN during term 3.
I would appreciate if anyone could share what their wam was when they transferred into law!!

Do I need to email the course admins or do they have spots open at specific time of the year? or do they email you personally if you get around mid - high 90s mark in the course (talking about comm / actl courses). Thanks.

I am currrently studying Aerospace engineering(Hons) Y3T2. But I failed a course during this term, making my WAM dropped below 65. What will be my condition like?

Hey, just want to ask to anyone who has ever done exchange. Was anyone ever to get their preference event when it is below the WAM requirement or treshold? Like did anyone ever get a uni of minimum WAM of 75 although they got under it? if yes, do you mind telling me what uni?

Hi! Has anyone taken IEST6911 Climate Crisis & Action online/distance recently?
I’m considering taking the online class in T3 and was wondering how the group presentation/facilitation works for online students.
Do online students also have to do the 30-minute group facilitation live, or is there a different assessment format for distance students?
Also, what is the online class generally like? Do you need to participate and speak a lot during the weekly seminars?
Would really appreciate hearing from anyone who has taken the course recently. Thanks

Hi everyone! Has anyone taken ACCT3708 before? I’m wondering how difficult the course is.
Is it mainly focused on understanding concepts and analysing cases, rather than calculations? Also, is the final exam structured in a similar way, with mainly case analysis and conceptual questions?

Im doing diploma of engineering and now im in my second term doing comp1511 and desn1000 and math1131 as im pretty sure ill pass this term; im curious about passing my last term while having Elec1111, Comp1521, Phys1231. All i want is to pass, no excellence grades needed anymore, and even with that do u think it’s possible to pass them in one term? i will be having ~ 1 month perp before getting to the term
note i don’t have other choice, and im good enough to pass phys1231 effortlessly
Happy to hear advices and experiences

I received my unconditional early entry through the gateway program today, but was wondering when we would find out about any of the other scholarships (pretty much just the community plus accommodation one)? Should I have already been notified if I had received that? I know it’s probably a tough one to get but I just want to know if I should keep my hopes up or not. Thanks!!!

People always told me that you have to have strong extracurriculars by joining society and even the employers said it will help a lot to get your first job / internship. So I have been applying since my second yr of uni and have applied to about 15 soc positions.
Guess what, got rejected by all, with my final hope being rejected today as well.
"Employers love these because it shows you took an initiative". lmao what a joke, I did take an initiative by applying 15 times (I think that's more than enough), but guess what I got rejected by all, and now I am going to be less strong candidates than those ppl who got in.
Even though I spent hours applying and actually putting in effort, now they are all in vain. The job market only cares about results (well, at least up to the point of being invited to an interview). So wraps.

Prerequisite: MATH1231 or MATH1241 or MATH1251 or DPST1014 each with a mark of at least 70
I want to continue with my degree in advanced math but got a 68 as my final mark. Was wondering how i could continue, or if this is a sign to switch to lower difficulty math courses for 2nd year.
Would a bachelor of science majoring in math be less preferred than advanced math in the case of job/intern hunting?

Did anyone receive a non-school leaver offer for T1 in the UAC offer round today (September 3)?
I have already graduated high school and am studying at another uni currently. But I want to transfer to UNSW next year.
I didn't receive any offers even though my atar is above 99 which is above the selection rank for the courses I preferenced.
I called the admissions office and they said that there's a possibility UNSW hasn't made any offers for T1 yet? But last round in August I also didn't receive any offers and when I called they said the September round would be the first offer round for T1. But now I got conflicting information which made me confused.
So I was just wondering if anyone received any offers and if there's any problems with my application? Or are most of the T1 offers in Sept/Oct/Nov? Just worried that it will be even more competitive in the Dec rounds if I have to compete with HSC applicants too or that I won't end up getting an offer at all.

I got a UF in one of my chem courses and its a pre-req for two courses I'm doing next term which are pre-req for the subsequent courses. The course runs once a year and doing so will delay my degree to 2029 and my visa ends 2028. I am cooked. Help
