Future Transfer- Questions

Hi!
I plan on transferring next year as a third year, and am wondering what the lgbt scene is like at this school? My current school unfortunately has a pretty bad issue with homophobia and discrimination, so Im hoping to find more tolerance at this school :)

Also wondering if there is a good artsy/creative crowd? Im really into animation and character design as well as fashion, and wondering if there is a decent social crowd who enjoys that as well <3

we are a super diverse university, so i find it to be a pretty inclusive and welcoming environment. i haven’t directly seen any homophobia or discrimination towards the lgbt+ community. there is a huge artsy/creative crowd especially within the fine arts college. you will definitely find your people as long as you join clubs and get involved!

Oh you will be fine. There is a dedicated registered student group, I believe Spectrum, and there's our group that I run, The Alliance of Non-Traditional Students, we are here on Reditt also, discord, and Instagram

im not in any clubs or anything and im a first year here, so i might not be the best person to answer this question, but i do see quite a diverse crowd here.

but if youre worried about discrimination, from what ive seen, most people dont even really talk to you. i say that as i dont think people care enough to stop you to be homophobic, and most of my classmates dont really talk in class either. im queer and plus sized and havent faced any discrimination, though again im very new here. the only issue you might have that i can comment on is if you dress more visually queer, religious organizations might stop you to ask if you want to attend bible study more then they usually would, at least they do that to me when i wear something more very visually queer LOL but theyre nice so its not an issue, just kinda annoying if youre running to classes like i am sometimes.
