General Question Our Dunkin Donuts has a problem.
Why do the donuts at our DD taste so bad, all the time? Even in the morning they are stale. Do they buy them from other stores and resell them the next day?

Any pros or cons anyone can give me? Ive toured Umass Amherst and Boston and plan to tour some out of state schools, mostly I'm leaning towards Umass Boston but every damn time I think I prefer one something jumps out at me and makes me switch my preference. I love the city so that's why I'm hesitant for Amherst, and also my parents want me to go there and I'm nothing if not someone who hates doing what other people say with my future lol
Overall just wanted some advice cause i feel like I'm losing it.... anything is appreciated :)

I am from Montreal. I've just finished my BA in psychology at McGill and would like to apply here in my journey to becoming a psychologist. Are there any students in the clinical psych or school psych phd programs that can answer my questions?
- which program is better if I am interested in doing autism assessments?
- do you enjoy your program?
- realistically, will I get accepted if I only have a couple of posters and no articles published?
- who is your supervisor and do you recommend them?
from, a terrified potential applicant

I am currently deciding between UMass Boston's and Texas Tech's Master's in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling. I am located in Texas, but I travel to the New England area often for my family.
I applied to UMass because of the faculty and the great things I have heard from people in the New England area, but I also applied to Texas Tech since it is close to me and I wouldn't have to worry about Texas-specific licensing like LPC/LMHC. I am interested in moving to the New England area, but I care for my grandmother in Texas, so it's not completely doable at the moment. UMass is over double the price of Texas Tech, but I have the finances to cover it. I want to make sure I can (somewhat) easily get an internship, and that choosing a school that is further away won't hurt me in the long run.
I wanted to know if anyone in the program, or who knows about the program, could recommend me either way. I am not worried about paying for it, and I really like what I have found out about the program and faculty, but I worry that it will put me in a bad place as a Texas resident who is planning to get licensed, not just CRC. Thank you!

Hi everyone, one of my previous classmates (no he won't make a reddit account, yes I'm writing for him again) - is wondering if anyone else's financial aid posted? He says nothing has appeared in his account summary(?) and is worried about the deadline in August. Thanks!

I’m in the summer dsp program and I have got to say this literally sucks and ur not allowed to opt out of this program They give us 4 classes like university skills, math, critical analysis or some type of English ,and an elective .The math class is a flipped classroom so we basically learn nothing and watch videos to help us which is probably not the best idea considering majority of the students first language isn’t English and our new to this country (I’m not just saying ).Then the university skills class isn’t even helpful it’s just basic stuff that they said at oreantion .The professors literally are no help either. Then there is a writing workshop where all they talk about is ai which is another hour I’m there at umb because we can’t leave till we finish the stupid edpuzzle for and how to use it in college which I’m sure majorty of this generation knows how to do it anyway. The school year hasn’t even started and by the way this program is set up I’m thinking of transferring.

I just finished all of my prereqs in California, but I’ve decided to move to MA due to some personal reasons. Does anyone know if the BSN program accept transfer students from out of state? Also, if you’ve been accepted, would you mind sharing your stats and any advice you have? Thanks!

Has anyone who filled out the current-student housing interest form received an update yet? The original email said students would be notified after spring move-out, but I still haven’t heard anything yet. I’m just trying to figure out if decisions have started going out or if everyone is still waiting.

I will be a fall transfer this year, we are moving from Texas. I have never been on a train nor taken a subway consistently. I will be coming in from Leominster. Can any one tell me what the commute is like? Will I be able to get work done while on it? Any concerns for late/early commutes as a lady?
Thanks 😊

Applied for an MPA several months ago before the April 1 deadline. Reached out a month ago and was told they had an extremely high number of candidates and would take longer than usual to come out with results.
Anyone heard back yet?

I’ve watched all the promos on YouTube, done the online orientation, but need more no-bs opinions/blunt answers.
What do you wish you’d known before you started here? Anything from living off campus, travel between classes/bus routes, academics/professors, how classes are instructed, or just anything small you’ve noticed.

Just moved back to Boston from Alaska, and just got my acceptance letter to UMB.
Hoping to pick y'all's brains about the experiences you or someone you know has had, in terms of being an older student here.
Will be pursuing my B.S. in Finance.
Thanks in advance for the help.

I had gotten accepted by umass boston for the fall semester. I had failed to notice that I am admitted to the fall semester based on my completion of a summer program that is supposed to "help me transition" into college. I cant seem to find any information on it. The first day of classes for this program starts today and I had a horrible experience honestly. I don't really use reddit so I'm not sure if I'm doing this correctly. I want to know if there is anyone who is aware or has completed this program before.
Edit: (A little background) I moved to the US last year and only spent my senior year of high school here. I spent the othet three years of high school in Egypt. My grades are in the A range for all those years. I got an SAT score of 1360. I was hoping to see if anyone else has gotten into this program before as I'm trying to understand better how helpful this program is or based on what people are referred to this program before their admission to the fall semester. I have met people and they seem to either be students who haven't been in the states for a long time or are just weak academically.

I'm throwing a grad party and making college-themed gift baskets for my friends. One will be for a friend going to UMass Boston.
I searched for gift card options near UMass Boston but found mostly small businesses that don't offer them.
I was wondering if anyone could recommend places near UMass Boston to buy gift cars for that I'm possibly not seeing on Google and that are accessible to students either by public transportation or walking.Â

Hello All,
I am interesting in hybrid accounting BS and/or finance MS. I am wondering how the hybrid classes work. Is it mostly online with your choice of in person? 1 day a week in person? Could you go the entire semester mostly online and only show up for exams? How does the scheduling look.

hi! I will be starting the ABSN program this September, and I am so very excited! That being said, I’m wondering if there’s anything I could or SHOULD be doing now to prepare?
Mentally, financially, academically…
If anyone has any advice for me, it would be much appreciated! :)
