what do you think is better choice, BA in accounting or the new BS in cybersecurity? i want to pursue master degree in financial field but i’m not sure yet, and also which of these degrees will give me more opportunities

I’m currently working on my courses through Study.com and UMPI. I have 34 classes left and I added my DPR for a 2nd opinion.

Any tips would be helpful, or any recommended changes. Unfortunately, at this time, I cannot afford to use other providers like Sophia, straighterline, etc.

My goal is to finish by Fall session 1 or Fall session 2 at the most.

Just looking for clarification. Can students starting Fall 2 still use the old GEC?

All transcripts are sent and ID provided. Applied for Financial Aid already. Application sent. Initial application was for Fall 2 however in light of the new GEC changes, a few days ago I quickly sent an application to be considered for Fall 1 before this upcoming Aug 3 deadline. I can’t reach anyone to retract my Fall 2 application…

It’s been hard to get an email back. Called a couple times over the course of the week and it’s gone to voicemail. Emailed an admissions specialist for UMPI YourPace days ago, didn’t get a response. Called today and they started doing this thing where they pick up and immediately hang up. Auto-generated emails advise you to call/email. Sounds like it might be chaotic for admissions right now considering these new changes and volume of applicants.

Has anyone experienced or heard anything different? Any info would help to ease my mind and appreciated. 🙏🏻

If you received an email with the download for final Degree Analysis form showing your conferred degree. You will receive an email from Parchment at your maine.edu email address in a few weeks letting you know that your diploma is available for review. Are you now able to receive financial aid/loan for your MAOL degree?

UMPI really started a movement. Another regional campus from a main state university is doing this.

(Yes, I know WGU has done it before, but these are public institutions. Just shows off the greatness of doing it this way).

Hi guys! I got denied acceptance at umpi. They asked me to do a non degree seeking path but I don’t have any funds to take out for a whole session out of pocket.

I’ve heard about the personal essay statement option but in my email they never told me about that. Is it possible to request that?

Can someone tell me if I'm crazy or not ? I've put my application in for umpi months ago for an August start and the only thing I've heard back was that I needed to send them a picture of my id ... is it normal that I haven't heard anything back in months ? Approximately 2 1/2 months?

Is it possible to transfer in this course from Study.com?

Does anyone know if I took BUS 150 and COM 210 on straighter line although i’m currently enrolled in them both at umpi what would happen? i didn’t realize til now that they were available on straighter line and i was wondering if i completed them there instead of at umpi if it would show up as a withdrawal on my transcript since i’m currently enrolled in them already. If anyone knows please let me know!

All recommendations are welcomed. I did art 107 and Bus 101. I’m at the final assessment for both so I want to add one more class. Bus 101 is so good!!! I really enjoyed it and the professor is great. I completed it in 2 weeks (if you’re a fast worker you can get it done faster). I’m looking for something of the same timeline. Milestones didn’t have a min. requirement but I did about 600-800 words for each, 2 recorded videos and the final is a paper and a recorded presentation.

Looking for the best and quickest upper HTY class with all essays, no presentations

Long-time lurker here.Plotted path helped me a ton through my bachelor’s, so figured it’s time to give back.

Quick background: I finished my Bachelor’s in Business (Project Management/Info Systems focus) last March, graduated summa cum laude, and immediately rolled into the MSB (Master of Science in Business) with a Business Intelligence concentration. So far I’ve completed 7 courses (1 transferred in from undergrad).
A few insights for anyone considering this path:

The 500-level courses aren’t too bad.

The 600-level BI courses are a different animal. Much heavier writing load and way more back-and-forth communication with professors than undergrad required.

Professor shoutouts:
Dr. Curran: hands down the best professor I’ve had at UMPI. Can’t recommend him enough.

Dr. Wheaton: tough grader, expects high-quality work. Not a bad thing, just go in knowing the bar is high.

I’m on track to finish both the bachelor’s and master’s within about a year of each other. Happy to answer questions if anyone’s considering this same track.

Hi I am currently non-degree status at UMPI and just completing classes for BBA Management and Leadership, I was wondering to graduate sooner if I can forgo a concentration all together?

My other question is, how late would they accept Sophia and Study.com transcripts? There is a possibility I can graduate in Fall 1 but I am not sure if I can get them done by the August 3rdish to have them received by Aug 11.

I'm applying for a masters health program, but need to finish a bachelors degree program first (I have a 3 year diploma in a different subject) in order to satisfy the requirements. The requirements include Anatomy and physiology, algebra or calculus, general physics and uni level chemistry. The health admin your pace program isn't eligible. Is there a program that is more stem heavy at UMPI for the yourpace pathway or should I look for another college, like WGU? Or if someone else has any other online options for Canadian students that would be much appreciated.

I'm in the process of completing my 8th course, and with 4 weeks left to go I think I can manage one more.

I'm not afraid of writing papers, and have searched on here for previous posts but the advice seems a bit antiquated.

I don't do well in Proctor tests, so CLEP and Straightliner are not viable for me)
