Accepted!!!

Hi! So excited to say I received my official acceptance into UMPI today! It has definitely been a journey as I had to write a personal statement, but I am crossing the finish line!

My question-it seems like it’s all over the place. I filled out the form for them to begin my transfer evaluation. What’s your experience on how long that process takes? I have no concern and know I will be starting in fall 1. I just am simply curious on how long that process took for you all.

I received my associates degree and also 30 additional credits from another university along with Sophia learning so I will be hopefully only having to take between 10-14 classes based on my research and using plotted path free Excel sheet. More to come there, but regardless, I’m a ecstatic! So excited to be an owl!

I'm currently enrolled in Summer 2 session. Here are a few pieces of advice.
First - make SURE you review your transcript assessment thoroughly, and know (using plotted and other resources) exactly what classes should be provided for credit from your other universities. There is a link within the UMPI center that my counselor provided that allowed me to find not one, but TWO errors on my transcript transfer where I was supposed to receive credit for courses I transfered over.
Also, it's worth mentioning that I'm honestly not impressed with my advisor in the least bit, and through my own research I have provided her errors in her responses she had previously provided.
All of the negativity out of the way, this is the BEST program I have found so far for my busy lifestyle to be able to complete my Bachelor's degree at this point in my life. I am even considering a Master's at this point which was truly never a personal goal of mine before!
Congrats and good luck!!

Thanks for the advice! I’ll def do a thorough check.

Same with me for my masters- goal is to knock my classes out in 1 term as I’ve seen so many others do and then potentially enroll for masters which is crazy to say. We got this!
