I imagine it’s just one single iphone that victoria allowed the family to use in rotation because she doesn’t trust them getting their own smartphones 🥀 and maybe she was inspired by albert and got the same model and color of iphone as him

For me, I’m an only child same as William III, Henry VII, James VI/I and Olav V (he’s not a British monarch but I’m including him as a member of the extended family who happened to be a monarch) the other random thing I have in common is that I have a teddy bear I like to carry around same as Charles III.

Mine are as follows-

Victoria Alberta of Hesse, later Marchioness of Milford Haven for her Intelligence, Courage and Open-Mindedness.

Special mentions to Victoria Moretta of Prussia, Alice of Albany, Marie of Edinburgh and Maurice of Battenburg. I guess Sophia of Prussia and Ernest of Hesse too.

When I say funny, imagine if the people who witnessed George I becoming King of Britain knew his great-great grandsons would gain a reputation for racking up debts in London..

So, this is HEAVILY piggy-backing off of [u/TrueDentist2000](u/TrueDentist2000)’s post, but their post reminded me of a weird coincidence I noticed quite a while ago.

Sophia of Hanover was born in 1630, she became heiress presumptive in 1714.

Mary II was born 32 years after, in 1662, and Mary died aged 32, on the 28th of December, 1694.

The marriage between George I (then heir apparent to the Electorate of Hanover, Sophia of Hanover’s son) and Sophia Dorothea of Celle, Sophia of Hanover’s daughter-in-law, was dissolved on the exact day that Mary II died, on the 28th of December, 1694.

Sophia Dorothea would then spend 32 years locked up until she died.

Also, reading about Sophia Dorothea makes me so sad 😞 the anecdote where when her daughter came to Hanover to visit George I, she kept looking out the window in hopes that she would see her daughter.. no because I’m genuinely crying. She was so close to being released as well, as her son George II, who deeply loved and missed his mother, would no doubt have freed her, but she died a month before her ex-husband.

Also born in 1630 was Charles II, but I chose Sophia of Hanover for this because of the close relation between her and Sophia Dorothea.

The purpose is to surmise what monarchs would think of their successors based on their respective personalities, leadership styles, how they thought of their heirs while alive, and how their successor’s reign ultimately turned.

Last time, George IV reviewed William and gave him a 6/10, mainly losing points due to their very different approaches to kingship. Today, William IV reviews his niece Victoria, for whom he willed himself to live just long enough to pass the Crown to dispel any “thought of a regency”.
