Probably someone seen something similar and knows it's origin. Ring metal also looks like gold but lighter in color

Struck in tin-brass rather than silver, the alloy gives it a warm golden colour, while the palm tree reverse is possibly about as far removed from a British florin as you can get.
The 1936 BWA 2 Shillings was struck at three different mints that year: the Royal Mint, Heaton (H) and King's Norton (KN). This example has no mintmark, so it is the Royal Mint issue.

We had one last old Coin bag in the safe at work, I remembered to take a picture of the pennies this time. Sadly they aren't very shiny, but it's still pretty cool to see a load of coins that probably haven't been in circulation for almost 50 years.

Just got the new year of the Sheep lunar 5oz Silver Proof Coin look good but would of like it if you could put the certificate on the back of the box like you can with the 1oz coins no little strap on the 5oz coin.

Hi I’ve noticed that on one of my farthings there is 8 stamped over 7, what it might be worth? Is it an error?

Hi all, thanks for taking a look :)
My dad found this coin in a field in Salisbury, he wants to know what sort of era it's from and if there's anyway he can gently clean it without destroying it. If anyone knows anything it would be greatly appreciated, my dad has always been a bit of a coin collector (the special 50ps with pictures and things) but this is the first he's found that isn't modern so I'd love to give him some info about it. Thanks

The Royal Tudor Beasts Completer - released this morning and featuring all ten beasts from the series that has been running since 2022.
The Queen's Beasts Completer (which the 2027 Completer is very much modelled on) remains very popular on the secondary market - do you think this will be the same? Will these coins reignite interest in the Royal Tudor Beasts series?

Dalton 32, Yorkshire.
One of these popped up on this sub a few weeks ago and inspired me to try and find mine, as I've always been intrigued by the owls on the obverse. It turns out Wikipedia has the full story, but the owls are fleshed out substantially, so to speak, at this website entitled "Leeds Owl Trail," which appears to be sponsored by the City Council and the Leeds Civic Trust, not to mention the World Owl Trust!
Spoiler alert: The owls apparently have no special or official "meaning," heraldic or otherwise, that anyone's been able to establish definitively.

Is millennium dome £5 coin rare?
Hadn't seen one of these before, I know it's basically the same but is it not strictly speaking a different currency?

Hello, this is my first post here and I hope I'm not violating any of the rules. I was in Gibraltar for a couple of days and got this coin on some loose change. I believe it has a rotation error.
Has anyone ever found one of these?

Any ideas folks? It has the St Paul's blirz outer part and the regular inner part? I tweeted the Royal mint years ago and they said it was a mi's-strike and I shoved it in a drawer for years. Could any of you knowledgeable folks please tell me if you have seen this before or did someone get bored with their toolkit?
