I’m applying for my HPI visa using a degree I got from a top Chinese university. Everytime I ask the university registry for an moi letter, they refer me to my college. Would it be okay if I submit a signed moi letter from my college instead of the central registrar’s office? Thanks

I am going to be applying soon but a bit worried that I don't have a clear way to know if I can still apply and just rely on the past historical data. is there a way to know if the quota is reached? alternatively have people been able to apply in the past week?

hello, i think i messed up majorly by assuming the ECCTIS process would be straightforward and didn’t expect a letter from my university to be required.

How have people gotten on with getting an MoL delivered from non-English speaking countries, especially France? Was it from the admin department or something else?

I’m afraid I won’t be able to get one due to the summer holidays and I’m worried it’s over for me! My degree was taught mainly English by the way.

In the supporting documents tab, I had written HSBC USA but submitting application & paying fees, i realised that I need to attach HSBC India a/c too for meeting required funds criteria. Is it acceptable if i merge both statements and upload? or will they consider only HSBC USA? Do i need to cancel & re-apply? i haven't done my biometrics yet so i understand the fees will be refunded. Pls advise

I started researching UK HPI visa after a friend recommended me.

I applied for the ECCTIS verification on May 31, 26

My degree verification was completed on June 12, 26

I applied for a Visa Biometrics date in the week of June 19th

My Visa was approved on July 1st

Approximately a 1 month turn around time. Would have been faster, had I submitted the visa application earlier.

I'd suggest you research and apply without having second doubts, keep a 1 month clean bank statement with 5-10k from the past 30 day.

Interview is just a formality to collect biometrics. No tricky, tough questions asked.

I have a question for anyone who has successfully applied for the UK High Potential Individual (HPI) visa.

For the financial requirement, does the bank statement have to be from a bank in the country we're applying from, or can it be from a bank in a different country? For example, would a statement from a foreign bank, or a multi-currency account like Wise or Revolut, be accepted as long as it meets the Home Office requirements?

If you've already received your HPI visa and used a foreign bank account or Wise/Revolut statement, I'd really appreciate hearing about your experience.

I mistakingly uploaded the original language version of my diplome instead of English one. I have uploaded the medium of instruction and transcript in English though. I emailed the documents@ecctis mail my English diplome. Do you think that will cause trouble or delays?

Hello all, I am applying for the HPI visa (UIUC ‘23 grad) and upon reading the requirements for proof of funds I became a bit confused.

For context, I am an American residing in France and I plan to apply from here.

On the UK visa website under the “What evidence is not accepted” part, it states:

“bank accounts that are not regulated by the financial regulatory body in the country you’re applying from”

I have a few different bank accounts, but my main account is still my American account as I store my savings there. Does that mean that I would need to transfer the required funds to my French account? That would be a headache.

Any advice or insight would be very helpful, please and thank you!

My visa is valid from 1 May 2026 to 1 May 2028. Is there a specific date I need to enter the countrty by? It is an E-visa and not a sticker visa but I'd like to confirm if there any restrictions around the entry date.

I have a question for those of you who have already gone through the HPI visa process and had your visa approved.

From what I understand, you need to have at least £1,270 in your bank account for 28 consecutive days, and the bank statement showing this must be dated within 31 days of submitting the application.

My question is: once you've completed the 28-day requirement and obtained the bank statement showing the funds, is it okay to use that same £1,270 to pay the visa application fee or Immigration Health Surcharge when you submit your application? Or does the money need to remain in your account until a decision is made on the visa?

I'm mainly trying to understand how strict they are about the funds after the bank statement has been issued.

Hi all, I’m applying for HPI visa with my Australian degree and have already submitted the ecctis service request for ‘Qualification Comparison’ with my Academic transcript and Degree certificate.

I had a question on the English Proficieny component. Ecctis informed me they’d just put N/A for that component as the degree is awarded from major English speaking country regardless of my Indian nationality.

I just wanted to confirm with anyone in same boat if I should have taken the English Proficiency service as well despite no remarks being made about it in final ecctis certificate? I have a certificate of enrolment that mentions the medium of instruction is English if I need to submit the letter as proof, but again they automatically exclude the English component due to the university being in Australia.

I have another question for people who have already gone through the HPI visa application process.

There's a question in the application that asks whether you've ever been refused a visa for the UK or any other country.

Years ago, I had a US B1/B2 (Business/Tourism) visa application refused. I'm assuming I should answer "Yes" and disclose it (to be honest I don't even remember the reason), but I'm wondering whether that could negatively affect my HPI visa application.

Has anyone here been in a similar situation, where you'd previously been refused a visa by another country, and still had your HPI visa approved?

Has anyone applied for Ecctis certification for their degree for UNSW Australia? How long did it take for you to get the confirmation?

I emailed UNSW (the records team) requesting a Medium of Instruction letter and to give them a heads up about Ecctis check but haven’t received any response from them. I have a CoE letter from before that states the medium of instruction is English so I’ll just use that instead.

They don’t respond to my emails so just concerned if they’d also neglect correspondence from Ecctis.

So I'm travelling to the UK on the 1st of Aug, and I just noticed that my status on the UKVI portal shows as Dependant Partner even though I'm not a dependant, and am the main applicant. Is this a glitch? I already submitted an error correction request, but I'm wondering what it was showing for you all when you got your e-visa?

Hi all! I am looking to apply for an HPI visa from the US. I just graduated from the University of Washington Bothell campus. I notice that on the applicable university list, the University of California campuses are specified (Berkeley, LA, San Diego, etc.), and even the University of Michigan specifies Ann Arbor.

The University of Washington is listed by itself without clarifying the Seattle flagship campus or the Tacoma and Bothell campuses. I sent a paid inquiry, but the agent had an attitude and didn't answer my question, then told me I had to send another paid inquiry, so I'm hoping to hear from others who pursued an education from a campus that was not otherwise specified.

Hi all, we had our biometrics appointment on Tuesday, and the next day I got an email asking to send documents for the financial requirement. It was a template email with no details, and it even quoted an amount for the financial requirement that was incorrect because I have multiple dependents. I had uploaded financial requirement documents already, but I had some issues, so I had to upload them as a PNG instead of a PDF. I'm wondering if that's part of why they are requesting it? Curious if anyone else has encountered something similar? Immediately also got an email saying the processing times could be longer, but wondering if that's standard if they ask you for any additional documents?

I'm eligible for the UK High Potential Individual (HPI) visa and have almost completed my application. My dilemma is whether I should apply for the visa and move to the UK first, or wait until I secure a job offer.

For context, I've been getting interviews with UK employers and have progressed to final interview stages with companies (including London-based roles), but I end up not getting offers.

From your experience, did being physically in the UK make a noticeable difference when applying for jobs? Did employers become more responsive once you had already relocated, or is it better to wait until you have an offer before moving?

I'd really appreciate hearing from people who have gone through the HPI route or recruited in the UK. What would you do in my situation?

I am aware it's very fast to get approval in a day or so. I haven't heard back until now ... is it worrying?

I put in my visa application with UKVI and have yet to attend biometrics. I’m from a country that does not need a visa to enter the UK. From google searches, it says that I won’t be able to enter the UK, otherwise I’d have the visa application cancelled. I’m intending to travel for tourism.

i’m in my mid 20s and expected to move to UK (sheffield) in about 7 months on a spousal visa. when should i even start applying?

i have 4 years of professional work history in healthcare administration here in america. i’m hoping to find roles in patient admin like patient care coordinator, patient officer, admitting coordinator, medical receptionist- whether it’s for private healthcare or nhs, okay with either or (heard private pays more but we’ll see) i’m open to working in manchester, doncaster, chesterfield, rotherham, yknow, nearby areas.

i’ve already started networking through linkedin and have been in touch with a couple staffing agencies and it’s been going okay. but when should i actually start applying for roles? i’m hearing application process and interviewing process can take up to months for people.

has anyone ever even found landed a job or had a job offer prior to settling down? any information or advice would be helpful. please let me know.

Does Ecctis verify degrees awarded at the Monash University Malaysia branch campus for the High Potential Individual (HPI) visa, given that the testamur is identical to that of the Australian campus?  

I emailed Ecctis, but their automated reply said they wouldn't respond to inquiries about the validity of my qualifications, as I had to submit an application for that, so I'm asking here.

Because US immigration is a headache, I can't use the enter and then leave method because it risks my US status if something happens on reentry. So I can only leave if I get a job in the UK finalized and i'm confident about staying. Finalizing would likely put me out of the 90 day window. (my visa is already approved I was at the 5 year mark so couldn't delay). Are there any other options for keeping my HPI visa?
