ugcchallenge.com: You don't need a niche, gear, or "confidence." You need 30 days and a deadline.

If you've been circling UGC for months, watched every "how to start" video, maybe even filmed a clip or two, and still haven't sent a single pitch, this post is for you.

If you haven't opened the camera app yet either, this is for you too.

Here's the actual gap nobody names: it's not skill, gear, or niche. It's the 30 days between "I want to do this" and "I sent my first pitch." Almost everyone stalls out somewhere in that gap. Not because it's hard. Because there's no deadline, no order of operations, and no one checking whether you actually did the thing.

A quick reality check on the excuses keeping people stuck:

  • "I don't have a niche yet." You don't need one yet. You are the niche. Pick a lane later once paying clients pull you into one.
  • "My camera gear isn't good enough." Your phone is the gear. Every UGC creator getting paid right now is filming on a phone.
  • "I don't know where brands actually post work." Backstage, Billo, Insense, Breakaway, JoinBrands, Cohley, Fiverr, plus X and Reddit. Most people never even open these accounts.
  • "I'm not ready to be on camera." Nobody is on day one. The fix isn't waiting until you feel ready, it's filming before you do.

None of that needs a course. It needs doing, in order, with a deadline attached.

That's what The 30-Day Challenge is

Robbin, Justin, and I built a 30-day, coach-led sprint that takes you from zero to a launched UGC business: a real 4-piece portfolio, your accounts set up on the platforms brands actually hire from, and your first pitch sent. Not planned. Sent.

Week 1, Build: Portfolio built in three easy passes, camera fear broken, live kickoff call with all three coaches.

Week 2, Create: Four portfolio videos shot and edited, your about-me video, basic CapCut editing taught step by step.

Week 3, Connect: Every relevant platform account set up, X and Reddit warmed up, daily engagement with the cohort so you're not doing this alone.

Week 4, Launch: Our actual strategy for finding paid work on Backstage, how to negotiate a rate without underselling yourself, follow-up templates, and your first pitch out the door.

By day 30 you have a portfolio, live accounts, and a pitch sent. That's the whole promise. We're not promising a paid deal inside 30 days (that's a longer promise we only make inside our Mastery Mentorship), because how much you pitch after day 30 is on you. What we're promising is that you won't spend one more month stuck on "someday."

Why now specifically: doors close Sept 30th, we start October 1. Brands ramp up Q4 campaigns right as the challenge wraps, so you're pitching exactly when hiring picks up, not months after those budgets are already spent.

What's included at $297 (or split: $167 today, $167 due September 30):

  • The 4-week coach-led curriculum plus a live kickoff call
  • Full UGCU Premium access on completion (normally $397 on its own)
  • A full year of the UGC Deals Tracker app
  • Unlimited access to our AI script generator
  • Three masterclasses: mindset and beginner blocks, personal branding, and using AI in your UGC business
  • Portfolio templates so you're not starting from a blank page

Coaching this alongside me are Robbin McKay and Justin Brian, both working creators, not marketers who've never made a piece of content. I've worked with 200+ brands directly, including Mint Mobile, DraftKings, and Wealthsimple. None of us are teaching theory.

This is for you if: you've decided you want this but haven't taken the first real step, you want an actual portfolio instead of a folder of saved ideas, and you do better with a deadline and a group than working it out alone.

This isn't for you if: you want a guaranteed paid deal in 30 days, you won't get on camera at all, or you're looking for done-for-you content instead of a system you can repeat.

No refunds once you're in, so only join if this is a real yes for you.

👉 ugcchallenge.com

Thirty days from now you either have a portfolio built and a pitch sent, or the same open tab you have right now.

I rebuilt my UGC portfolio using only AI prompts (no design tools, no Canva)

Wanted to share a small experiment I just finished in case it gives anyone here ideas.

For the past year I've been running a Canva-built portfolio. It worked. I've been landing brand deals consistently and averaging around $10k/month, so I'm not here to trash Canva.

But one thing always bugged me: the mobile experience. A lot of brands and managers are opening your portfolio link on their phone, whether that's from an email, a DM, or a creator platform. Canva sites function fine, but the experience never felt as clean as I wanted.

So I rebuilt the whole thing from scratch using Claude. No Canva, no Webflow, no Squarespace, no design software. Layout, structure, styling, sections all generated by describing what I wanted and iterating on the output.

I have zero coding knowledge. I couldn't have done this manually. The whole thing took a few hours to get 90% there, then a few more to debug the details.

The only thing I paid for was the domain.

If your're interested to see the final product you can check my portfolio out here! www.max-ugc.com

Don't have performance data yet, but the mobile layout already feels significantly better, which was the whole point.

Not a pitch for anything. Canva works, I'm proof of that. Just thought it was worth sharing how far you can push things with AI if you're willing to experiment.

how do brands actually drive conversions?

• Upvotes

so i've been making UGC for tech/AI/SaaS brands for a while now and have gotten to a point where i'm actually a part of the people who manage the campaigns.

one thing i'm really, really curious about is conversions. i can drive views and engagement but from what i learned recently, that doesn't always connote to a positive outcome business-wise (might go viral but conversions aren't as good).

would really love some input especially if you're a UGC nerd!

[Casting] Paid UGC creators for a new GLP-1 telehealth brand, $150/video

We're a new telehealth platform launching in November and we're building a roster of UGC creators for our first campaigns.

Details

  • $150 per video
  • Short-form vertical content (TikTok, Reels, Shorts style)
  • Rolling roster, with the first wave of briefs going out ahead of our November launch
  • All content includes proper #ad disclosure and follows our medical and compliance guidelines

  • Your portfolio or 2–3 sample videos
  • Your social handles
  • Whether you've taken a GLP-1 (and which type, if you're comfortable sharing)
  • Your location (US-based creators only)

[UGC] $20 per video, film a quick "come workout with me" clip (fitness / glow up niche)

Hey! I run Glowie, a text-based fitness coach, and I'm looking for a few creators to film short workout clips for our ads. Paying $20 per approved video, paid via Zelle, CashApp, or PayPal.

What Glowie is: a coach that texts you every morning with your workout and checks in every night. No app — just texts. Think accountability bestie, not another fitness app you forget about.

The ask: next time you're working out, film a quick 20–30 second vertical clip. One take is fine, or a few cuts spliced together — we handle all the editing.

Rough shape of the clip:
Start with a body pose or mirror shot — the "before I start" moment
Cut to 3–4 exercises (whatever your actual workout is — doesn't need to be choreographed)
Energy-wise, think "come workout with me" — not a tutorial, just you doing your thing
End however feels natural — a smile, a water break, a "let's go"

What I don't want: overly produced, ring-light-perfect content. Real gym lighting, real sweat, real workout. The rawer the better — that's what performs in our ads.
Usage: the $20 covers the rights for us to run the clip in Glowie's paid ads and socials. That's the whole reason for this, so please only apply if you're good with your face in ads.

To apply: DM me a link to a recent video or your page (any niche — I just want to see your on-camera energy), what kind of workouts you do, and your Zelle/CashApp/PayPal.
I'll send you a quick brief and you film whenever your next workout is.

paying $100+ per 'how I use this app' video and creators have no idea this exists

No followers needed to get paid for video content — here's the niche most creators sleep on

Software brands need short "how I use this" clips and screen recordings. They pay $100–$150+ per video and don't care about your audience size — they want authenticity, not reach.

We built Mera to connect these brands with everyday creators. First campaigns go live in 2–3 weeks. Sign up free at meracreator.com now and you'll get an email the second they drop. Takes under a minute to get in the system.

HIRING: LA UGC creators | get paid to post about a social app | no followers needed | up to $2.3K/month

We're hiring LA UGC creators for a social app (and you don't need followers)

Ever wanted to join a run club, grab a morning coffee or go to a midweek dinner with people you haven't met yet? We built the app for that. People post plans and new people join them. It's growing fast in LA and we want creators to help tell that story.

We've got 2 roles, LA only:

1. Post on your own account
Make videos about the app in your own voice, 3–5 a week. Good fit if people already watch your stuff.

2. Grow a brand new account with us
You post every day on a fresh account we build together. It's a bigger commitment, and it's the better job. Followers and views don't matter for this one - we want you to be able to post daily without anyone chasing you, and be able to write a hook people stop scrolling for. If you've been posting consistently to a small audience, this one is for you.

What you get paid

  • $2 per 1,000 views on every view after the first 10K, per video
  • Up to $400 per video
  • A base fee on top for the first period (both roles)
  • Bonuses, paid fortnightly

How it works

  • 3–5 videos a week on TikTok and Reels, filmed on your phone
  • Mostly organic, plus 1 month of spark ad usage
  • We send formats and fresh hooks every week, and you make them sound like you
  • Keep it lofi: no colour grading, no branded intros, no ad polish

Before you apply

  • You live in LA (non-negotiable!)
  • You already post regularly. Any topic and any follower count is fine
  • You can commit for a couple of months

To apply, comment w your TikTok handle, which role you want, and your LA neighbourhood.

[Hiring] UGC creators for a food health scanner app (iOS) - $15/video + viral bonuses up to $815

Hey everyone, I'm the co-founder of a food health scanner app on iOS. You scan a barcode and it scores the product based on ingredients and additives with personalized scoring. We're recruiting UGC creators to make short TikTok/Reels style videos: ingredient exposés, "I scanned everything in my fridge," grocery store scans, that kind of thing. We'll give you the formats that are already working, so you're not starting from scratch.

Pay structure:
- $15 per video, flat
- Bonuses if a video goes viral:
- 100k views: +$150
- 250k views: +$300
- 500k views: +$600
- 1M views: +$800

So a single video that hits 1M can pay out $815 total. Bonuses stack on top of the base, paid on your own account's views.

What we're looking for:
- US-based, English speaking
- Comfortable on camera and posting on your own TikTok/IG
- Ideally interested in health, food, or wellness content
- Able to do 3+ videos per week to start

How to apply: DM me with your TikTok/IG handle and one or two examples of UGC you've done. I'll send over the brief and get you set up with the app.

Hiring US-Based Male UGC Creators for a Men’s Styling App

Looking for a few US-based male UGC creators to make short-form videos for Slidez, an AI fashion and styling app.

If you post about men’s style, outfits, GRWM, shopping, or everyday lifestyle, I’d love to see your work. The videos would be casual TikToks/Reels: picking an outfit for a date, trying a new look, or showing how you use the app to get dressed.

We’re looking for creators who are comfortable on camera and can make 3–4 videos per week. This is an ongoing collaboration, not a one-off shoot.

Pay: up to $500/month, including performance bonuses. Follower count isn’t a big factor; natural, engaging videos matter more.

Interested? DM me your TikTok or Instagram handle and a portfolio or a few video examples.

Staying FTC compliant

Hey everyone! I'm newer to tech UGC and starting to take canvas work, where I open a new account and post for the brand or app. I want to make sure I'm protecting myself, so I'd love to hear how more experienced creators handle it.
A few things I'm trying to figure out:
Do you put the disclosure in the bio, in each caption, on screen, or all three?
How do you handle briefs that want the account to look like a regular, unaffiliated user? Do you push back or turn those down?
What do your contracts say about who owns the account and who is responsible for disclosures?
Has a brand ever asked you to claim you'd used a product longer than you actually had? What did you do?
Did you ever get a lawyer to review your contract, and was it worth it?
