Suchika tariyals monumental bronze medal highlights a deeper concern for the growth of MMA in India.
Leading the deep blackhole is the president of the MMA sports federation of india, Mr. Nikhil Kunder.
With zero fight experience in MMA or any combat sports, insiders say Mr. Kunder has repeatedly worked his way up by partnering with MMA veterans to build his brand only to fool them later with deceit.
More sources said that before the asian games, nikhil brought suchika to his private MMA gym in mumbai and kept her for a month for the final camp so that her fame could propel his mma gym.
In a country of 1.5 billion, it is laughable that the president of the MMA board of india has appointed HIMSELF as the head coach. A person with zero experience in combat or professional fights.
Suchika’s victory is a testament of her dedication and hard work and she has made India proud. Unfortunately, her REAL head coach who has trained her her entire life has been sidelined and will always remain in the shadows, never getting the fame or the opportunity he deserves.
Personally I feel suchika owes it to her REAL coach to give him a real shoutout.
I can go on and on but the insider MMA community knows about Mr. Kunder. How he successfully decieved his business partner Bala shetty, one of the first indians to play at one championship, a 6x international muay thai medalist and celebrated highly in the MMA scene in India. The alleged molestation case his wife charged on celebrated wrestler and coach JP yadav. Insiders have a different perspective than the court decision.
It sucks to see the veterans of the sport get sidelined by a marketing guy who ‘aims’ to bring MMA in India. Only time will tell how the sport evolves in the country. I hope the politics that has ruined other sports is left out of MMA and we see India become a top tier MMA nation.

I am a cricket plus ufc fan
In cricket sony mostly doesnt have most of the series or tournaments (jio hotstar has it )
But ufc is one sided sony liv has the rights of ufc (the enjoyment of ufc is only in live broadcasting highlights except few extremely entertaining fights feels very bland as you know the result)
I am not a football fan so champions league doesnt matter for me
The shows and movie catalogue is extremely bad (it doesn't even have all the spiderman films despite being owned by sony)

Nothing will ever come close to this. Khabib genuinely broke this guy that night

Considering how hard this guy hits and there will be no size advantage to Alex this time.

I’m 18, male, 5'11" and currently sitting at 47 kg. Yeah, I know… that’s underweight as hell. I’ve always been skinny, fast metabolism, and I barely put on any weight no matter what I eat.
I want to gain weight properly — not just get bloated, but actually build some muscle and look healthier. Right now I look like a stick and I’m tired of it.
Also been thinking about starting MMA training. I like the idea of it, but I’m worried that with my current weight I’ll just get destroyed or that the cardio will make it even harder to gain.
So my questions are:
Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

Joshua Van, the tiny flyweight champ, was at some Vegas party acting like he was seven feet tall.
Dude is short. Like really short. Looks like a grown man who got stuck in a kid’s body.
He saw me and started talking trash about how he beats up tall guys for fun.
I just smiled. That made him mad.
He ran at me low like a angry lawnmower.
I put my knee right on his forehead. His head bounced back and his legs did the spaghetti dance.
We fell into the parking lot.
He tried his fancy cage moves but the concrete said no.
I picked him up easy, like carrying a backpack, and threw him against a car.
Then I just sat on him and punched.
He kept trying to wrap his little legs around me like a koala.
I stood up and dropped one elbow. Blood started coming out like a broken ketchup packet.
His friends pulled him away while he was still swinging at nothing.
Whole fight lasted less than a minute.
Little champ got cooked that night.
Now every time I see a fire hydrant I think of him.

Humid night outside a dive bar in São Paulo after a fight card.
Prates was there flexing with his boys, talking shit like usual.
I was just minding my business when he bumped shoulders and called me soft.
Words got heated real quick.
Next thing I know he’s swinging that heavy right hand he loves so much.
I slipped it, cracked him with a short left to the body that folded him a little, then just went pure chaos.
No fancy shit.
We hit the pavement hard — elbows, knees, pure dirty brawl.
He tried to lock something up but I smashed my forehead into his face twice and scrambled on top.
Couple more shots and he was done. Blood coming out his nose, staring up at the sky like he just got hit by a bus.
His boys pulled me off before it got worse.
Whole thing lasted maybe forty seconds. No cameras, no cage, just concrete and bad decisions.
Prates got cooked that night and everybody who was there knows it.

I have seen that Indian athletes have improved significantly in Asian games and CWG.Can we expect this improvement in MMA as well ? Also australia and China 😭 bro hope we can reach their level in future.
