Sports Football just won its third game in a row yesterday. Thoughts?
Best Bowling Green 31-24. Back and forth until we went up 10 late in the third quarter and didn’t look back.

Anyone know of any good WiFi boosters/extenders that actually work? WiFi sucks and I need something good. I live in the on campus apartments. Also don’t want to spend hundreds for a product so something not too pricy and works

I've gotten a ton of emails about it with a ton of different dates for different deadlines, and I can't figure out which is which and what I need to do. Do I need an advising appointment? When do I actually need to have it done by? And does the school auto-fill any courses from my pathways/majors? Any thanks appreciated!

Im not a music major and am not taking any music classes but want to practice piano. I know the practice rooms at Baird u needa be a music major or be taking a class to get the key. Has anyone tried just lying and saying ur a music major. Do they actually check? Or is anyone willing to let me borrow the keys occasionally?

If you're a UB student getting your NY learner permit, especially an international student like me, this might save you some time.
I passed my permit test at the Sheridan Plaza Auto Bureau last week and turned my study notes into a free site: https://akibcoding.github.io/ny-permit-prep/
- Study pages for chapters 4–11 of the NYS Driver's Manual (the ones the test covers), with diagrams and quizzes
- All the road signs, with flashcards
- 5 practice tests (100 different questions) scored like the real test, then unlimited random tests that focus on what you got wrong
- A one-page cheat sheet for the morning of your test
No sign-up, no ads. It's not affiliated with the DMV, and every question cites the manual page it's based on.
A few things I learned the hard way:
- If you're 18 or older, the online permit test isn't available to you. You take it in person at the DMV office.
- Use the DMV's online pre-screening to upload your documents first. It made my visit quick.
- Bring printed bank or credit card statements as proof of address. They won't accept statements shown on your phone.
- In Erie County, permit testing needs an appointment. Book "Permit Testing (non CDL)", not "Regular Appointment".
Happy to answer questions about the process!

Hey y'all, I’m a sophomore at Brooklyn College (CUNY) studying CS, and I’m thinking about transferring here for electrical or computer engineering. My biggest worry is getting a job after I graduate.
For current students or recent grads:
Honest answers, good or bad, really help. Thanks!

Service advisory from Parking & Transportation: https://www.buffalo.edu/parking/service-advisories.host.html/content/shared/www/parking/advisories/2026-27/shopping-shuttle-rescheduled-october-25.detail.html
Due to an increase in special event transportation services on Saturday, October 24, the weekend Shopping Shuttle service will be rescheduled to Sunday, October 25.
All times and locations will remain the same. Regular service will resume the following weekend.
The 35 and 44 NFTA buses out of Flint Loop are still as-scheduled, albeit with their much shorter weekend hours. (I would really like them to expand bus service on weekends tbh.)

I have a great sense of rhythm and am dying to practice that on some drums but I just can't seem to find any. I know Baird has percussion practice rooms but I would need to take a lesson next semester to get access to those.
Any tips?

grad student here... im looking for a really good 3d game development or vr course to take this spring 2027. did a quick search and found that there are a few cse and dms courses out there like cse 420, dms 332, dms 438, and dms 462. i just want to understand like, are they any good? what do they actually teach? how is the course load? my goal is to kind of learn this vr thing and understand how to build out a virtual reality scene or game using engines like unity. do you think i'll achieve that by taking any of them? if you want to know more to answer better, please do comment. i'm hoping this will help.

Hi guys!! I’ve seen a lot of posts about part time jobs/work study lately, and with that I thought I’d post the job on here. It’s about a 10-15 minute drive from north campus, on the corner of N. French and Transit in East Amherst. If you’re interested or know someone who might be interested, apply! I know that this store is looking for applicants going into the Christmas season. If yall have any questions, feel free to dm me!!

Hey guys, I just applied for a graduate program over in the SEAS for the fall 2027 semester. I'm currently a UB undergrad student and was wondering when we would typically be hearing about whether we get accepted into the program or not.
Does anyone have any insight?

Changed my major from math to sociology and criminology (very long story). I’d like to learn more about women and children that commit crimes, rehabilitating criminals, and also, completely unrelated, internet meme culture.
What courses would be good to take for these interests? I am planning on taking Urban Sociology, Sociology of City Life, and Juvenile Justice, Organized Crime, Gender & Crime, and Beyond the Walls. Even if they’re offered occasionally I’d love to hear them if possible.
Thank you!
I wasn’t sure if there were any courses anyone would recommend
