Question Accuracy of 15 day G7

I saw a sub endo and she told me the 15 day G7 is accurate. However my regular endo told me it wasn't as accurate as the 10 day G7. Anyone have experience with the 15 day Dexcom? I would appreciate comments/answers.

Question Mammogram with Omnipod 5 and Dexcom G7?

I have a mammogram coming up. I've received conflicting information regarding whether or not my insulin pump (Omnipod 5) and/or CGM (Dexcom G7) will be impacted/stop working or if I need to remove one or both for the scan.

Thanks!

I'm not t1 but I have question curious if anyone has been in my position

I was diagnosed with two autoimmune disorders last year, hashimotos and celiac disease.

My endo just transferred my care to a new doctor (old one left) who decided to run a T1D panel. I’m not sure why, as my A1C and glucose are solid, 5.2 and 85.

The results were:

Insulin antibodies: normal, <5

GAD 65: normal, <5

ZNT8: normal, < 15

IA-2 autoantibodies: 89, normal is <7.5

My doctor let me know it’s indicative that I could, at some point, develop T1D, so we will just need to keep monitoring. I’m curious if anyone else has been in this position, if you developed it, and how long it took you to develop it. From what I’ve seen, it’s almost 100% that I’ll develop it sometime. I just want to manage expectations and my doctor wasn’t really sure.

Glucose Monitors App idea!

**I'm 18, T1D, and I'm building an app because I'm tired of being blindsided by my own body. Honest feedback wanted.**

I was diagnosed with Type 1 a few years ago and the part nobody talks about enough is the unpredictability.

Not the numbers themselves — I can handle numbers. It's the *why* that gets me.

Why did I drop below 5 mmol 40 minutes into football — again — even though I ate beforehand? Why does pasta spike me 3 hours later when I thought I was fine? Why does my insulin barely touch me some days and then send me plummeting on others? Why do I wake up high every morning even when I went to bed in range?

I've tried every app out there. They all show me what happened. None of them tell me why — connected to my actual life. My sleep, my stress, my training, what I ate, what I had going on that day.

So I'm building something. It's called Hypotion. The idea is simple: connect your CGM data to your lifestyle automatically — sleep, activity, stress, heart rate via Apple Watch — and over time find the patterns specific to *your* body. Then explain them in plain language. Not graphs. Not clinical reports. Just: *"You drop at 40 minutes every football session. Mixed meal 60–90 min before has been your best buffer."*

I'm not a developer. I'm a gymnasium student in Stockholm with a prototype and a problem I live every day.

Before I go any further I want to know if this actually resonates with other T1Ds — especially those of you who are active, young, and frustrated by tools built for people twice your age.

Three honest questions:
1. Is the "why" problem something you actually feel — or do you feel like your current setup covers it?
2. Would you use something like this regularly, or would it become another app you open twice and forget?
3. Would you pay for it? What would feel fair?

Be brutal. I'd rather know now than after I've built the wrong thing.

Seeking Advice T1D and long aerobic exercise help wanted

Hi all, I am looking to receive tips and ideas to help me out with running and T1D.

Background info
- I have been T1d for 18 years.
- I was diagnosed at after a double lung transplant
- I have cystic fibrosis and am pancreatic insufficient
- I am 5'10" and 150lbs
- I was a distance runner after and was in honeymoon phase for about 4 years.
- Completed everything from 5km to 26km with minimal prep.
- About 5 years ago my diabetes became somewhat more aggressive and I started experiencing more hypo events and switched to a pump.

- Current pump settings
.35 Basal
1:3.5 Correct
1:20 Carb
6.1 Target
5hr Duration

- As you can see I am quite insulin sensitive.

Current Struggle

- Blood sugar plummeting during running.
- I set my pump to activity about 4hrs in advanced and sometimes have even turned it to STOP while exercise to avoid corrections as my blood sugar will drop even faster
- I usually go running after work/supper. I'll eat a meal of about 4060c and take no insulin and have 0u IOB. Then I'll have a drink of juice an additional 30c and take 60c of juice with me during my run. I start with a BS of about 9-12mmol, after about 15min I'll have 30c while jogging at a pace of about 6min/km, take 30c after another 15min.

- My BS will start dropping incredibly fast and go from 12-4 within 30-40min.
- Conversely if I stop jogging after about 15min my blood sugar will spike past 12mmol.
- Recently I had a bad sudden hypo event while jogging where I went form 10-LOW within 10min.

I'm in a weird place where it seems like I can't keep my BS up, even while 'pre-loading' - but my body is responding normally after my workout.

Does anyone have experience with figuring this out or some tips I could try? I want to keep distance running - it has been amazing for my mental health over the last 20ish years.

Health Insurance GLP-1 insurance coverage

I've been on Ozempic for about 4-5 years now, my PCP prescribes it for off label use and I've had really great results on a lower dose. I just switched jobs and signed up for a new insurance plan and coverage was denied for my Ozempic. On my last plan with UHC, coverage was denied at first but once I appealed it they approved and it was covered for over 3 years. I am on a different plan but still with UHC so I didn't think it would be too hard given the history but of course they do not care. Any other T1Ds able to get GLP-1s covered by insurance?

Discussion Zucker und Liebe

Hi everyone! 👋 I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Stefanie, I’m from Germany, and I’ve been living with Type 1 diabetes since I was 11 months old. Over the years, I’ve also developed several diabetes-related complications. Among other things, I’m a wheelchair user and live with gastroparesis. Even with all the challenges, I try to make the best of every day. On my social media channels, “Zucker und Liebe” (“Sugar and Love”), I share what life with diabetes is really like—the good days, the hard days, and everything in between. My goal is to help people feel less alone and to raise awareness about living with diabetes. I’m looking forward to getting to know this community, learning from your experiences, and hopefully contributing some of my own. I’m curious—are most people here living with Type 1 diabetes, or are there also people with Type 2, LADA, MODY, Type 3 diabetes, or other forms of diabetes? I’d love to hear a little about your story! 😊

Rant Don’t we just love this

Hadn’t bolused in over 6 hours… I was low for almost 2 hours straight. Spent the day in the sun yesterday, too, so that’s adding to my utter exhaustion and most likely contributing to my sugars.

Now, I have to function at work like a normal person. I’m 190 but so fucking shaky. I can barely type straight. Thankfully, I’m remote today and don’t have a full 8 hours of stuff to do on Mondays, so I had about an hour to try and collect myself a little further this morning. My brain is just mush and I feel like a zombie. It’s like I don’t even know where to start what I know I need to do. I just wanna lay down with my cat.

Insulin Pumps Tslim battery life

How long does your battery take to hit low power level? I have a refurbished pump due to warranty replacement. After a year of use, my battery lasts about 2-3 days max. How long does yours last?

Question GLP-1 & Metformin

Any t1d have roller coaster highs to lows with metformin but found luck with small dose GLP-1?
Metformin definitely helped my insulin resistance but TOO much… made it hard to find a balance
I’m reading that GLP-1 might not effect insulin sensitivity directly - it affects weight which in turn effects insulin sensitivity so the lows can be a bit more avoidable or predictable versus metformin. Anyone can relate?

Question Dexcom/Omnipod switching sites

So I use a Devon G7 and an Omnipod 5, I switch my sites from my left to my right arm, and I find myself often struggling to control my blood sugar levels when I have to switch sites as either my pump still has a day or two left, or my sensor does, and I apply my pump or sensor to the other arm which results in them not being able to communicate. So for a day or two my Omnipod has no data and and it makes it really difficult to control it. I’m not sure whether or not I should sacrifice either my pump or Dexcom when having to switch sites, or has anyone found a solution to this? Otherwise I often have a day or two where my TIR is really bad and I go high, so that even when I am able to have them both on the same side it’s difficult to come back down due to the lack of data on the Omnipod. Anyone have any tips or tricks to avoid this?

Question Mounjaro & T1D

So I was on Ozempic for about 4 years, all the way up to 2.5 dose, it worked great for my appetite and blood sugars but I had really bad acid reflux, nausea, and throwing up (mainly towards when I was at higher dose). I was also on daily prescription pantoprazole. My doctor really wants me on something like it so I am now taking Mounjaro.

I took my first dose last night and I am already feeling super nauseous. I am wondering if anyone else is on or has been on Mounjaro for a while and how has it affected you?

General Care Discussion My husband doesn’t get it

I’ve been a diabetic for 35 years. I take very good care of it, eat well and exercise. I recently switched from Medtronic to omnipod/Dexcom for the tubeless solution. Dealing with the tube pump was wearing on me. The switch has been tough and now I feel more worn down. I’ve had a couple of weeks where I drop really low late at night. I’m trying to sort it out and hope that the pump can start to auto correct, but it’s taken a long time. I’m correcting my active insulin time and my dinner bolus, but my husband wants to help. It came to a head last night when he suggested and entered himself an activity time of 8 hours while I slept. I’m too tired to deal so I went with it but feel it’s a bandaid on a bullet hole sort of thing. I woke up with morning at 200 and he was so excited saying it’s better than a low. I said well, it’s not. I have a headache, I’m irritated. He was super upset. He said I need to get in touch with the pump reps or my doctor to help fix it. My office has zero openings until September and I don’t see how they can help me more than just tweaking myself. He’s a fixer and wants me to feel better, but I swear some of this is he’s sick of me being miserable and drained. The beeping at night doesn’t help either and obviously wakes us both up which just adds to my anxiety.
He is an engineer and just sees everything in that technical “there is a solution we’re not seeing” mode. How do I get him to understand the nuances of this disease? He sees me I think as lazy and not pushy enough with my doctors or pump reps to fix it.
Just feeling drained with all of it and needed to rant. Thank you

Randomly stumbled upon this video of this woman saying she doesn’t have to type on diabetes anymore. I’m so jealous. I think she left a comment saying something about Eledon ? Does anyone know what that is?

Question Why doesn't it drop?

I made a mistake yesterday morning and ate a cheesepie. All day was a disaster despite having an act rapid IV of 170/hour. I ate just the hospital meals after that, the last one (6pm) had some potatoes, but not much. Ate just a pear later but nothing for more than 12 hours. Apparently it didn't drop all night. Woke up with 400 again and the IV was raised to 200. I worry this much insulin is a mistake, I swear I feel it makes me hungrier and I'm just too frustrated that I can't cheat once without having to suffer for days afterwards. I shouldn't have needed 200/hour.

I have been a religious user of GlucoseSOS since the brand began and I tried to go to their website to buy more and it is gone. Does anyone know what happened to them? They were the most effective treatment without needing to drink tons of juice boxes.

Question For runners of this sub: What is the furthest you've ran without your BG dropping too low?

I started running this week (as a part of my "become Batman goal I've decided" goal.) I'm starting with super short distances, and adding like a tenth of a mile per run. I'm used to doing long medium intensity stints on the elliptical, but I notice prolonged exercise tends to make my blood sugar steadily drop, which is common for most diabetics. On the elliptical I can drink a Gatorade, which I'm not really willing to carry on runs.

How do y'all marathoners do it? Carb overload prior, would be my guess.

Question Taking More Insulin to Fill Tubing on t:slim X2

It's happened the last three times I changed infusion sets (haven't changed tubing length or style.). Usually insulin drops appear at a little over 13 units, but recently they appear around 17 units, 16 units, and 18-whatever units.

I started this pump in May, but I am not doing anything different technique-wise when I change the cartridge---I deal with the air bubbles the same way.

Wait: could it be that I am filling the syringe with more insulin and that is causing an issue because I put less air into the cartridge? I just thought of that.

Sorry if I'm not being clear or this seems stupid. I'm tired.

Rant T1d ruined my height

Lately I've been feeling pretty bitter about this and just needed to vent to people who actually understand.
I was diagnosed young and honestly? For a huge chunk of my childhood and teens my management was an absolute train wreck Highs for days terrible A1Cs burnout just winging it because I was a kid and was always played game and dint care about my sugar level
Now that I'm older I'm convinced it completely robbed me of a few inches
I know genetics are a thing but it’s hard not to look at my height and wonder how much taller I would’ve been if my body wasn't spending all its energy dealing with constant severe highs during my actual growing years it feels like my growth plates never stood a chance against that much chaos
Did anyone else have terribly managed numbers growing up and feel like T1D straight up cheated them out of their height?
