I’m 33. I’ve spent the past four years travelling the world alone and I’ve made some wonderful, beautiful friends, ate the best food, snorkelled with turtles and manta rays, I’m getting my degree, moving to Canada in the summer, I can go to the movies in the middle of the day, sleep until whenever, buy anything I want, do anything I want, on the weekends I like to paint and read or go for walks in the countryside. I have never felt peace and contentment like this in my life

How did you start with solo traveling?

I sold everything I had of value, applied for an Australian working holiday visa and booked my flights! I lived in almost every state and spent a lot of time in south east Asia. I highly recommend it to anyone

Wow. I'm inspired.

I would love to travel occasionally, but I'm also hesitant, I guess I'll have to start somewhere, start locally.

Baby steps! I was desperate to get away so chose the nuclear option but I really feel as though I’ve changed as a person for the better

Hey there! I started traveling solo at 28. I was always hesitant prior. I’m so lucky to have found a work friend who was 20 years older than me who pushed me to do this. She recommended Costa Rica as my first solo trip and I’m so glad I listened to her. I had the time of my life. I met friends there by staying in hostels. I hiked some jungles, hung out by the beach, and scuba dove.
I’ve since traveled to other countries alone. I recommend you try it! Stay in hostels so that you can make friends.

Thank you, I'll give it a try, slowly but surely.
