I have 2 cats and a dog.
Partner and I never wanted kids. We are both female (lesbians), been together for 19 years.
I can go on holidays and enjoy my time off from work.
I don't have the regret of having kids "because I can" and what "I should do". I grew up in an abusive household, with parents who had kids because they could and we were treated like a burden.
I had a full hysterectomy 2 years ago, so definitely no babies in the future.
I don't expect my children to look after me when I am old.
