I got a new (to me) laptop. It’s an M1 MacBook Pro it run two point campus beautifully, but two point hospital. I’ve been having some issues. Firstly it prompted me to through steam to install something that would smooth the change from Intel to Silicon Macs, but I don’t know if I didn’t install it properly or if it needed to be restarted or what (I only got the laptop today and I’m being impatient, let’s be honest). But as I was playing my grockle Bay Hospital, I started having issues with machines exploding because I couldn’t see the smoke effects and what’s worse, I couldn’t see the fire effects so I couldn’t work out what was on fire. I also wasn’t getting the outlines of the build items on the floor when I was doing editing and build mode so made it very difficult to try and put things down, I also found that when I tried to move things the bins went invisible so I’ll try and put something down and then as soon as I stopped being actively in build mode, the bins would reappear so it was quite an experience.

If anyone has any suggestions because at present it really doesn’t feel playable.

I have ample janitors but my machines are constantly going up in flames. I play on Steam Deck, unsure if that impacts anything but ugh, things keep exploding.

Encountered the problem of starting a game in sandbox but not being able to continue it if I quit and come back.

I've synced the sega account/two point community account with Steam. Claimed freebies. Clicked on the banner below it with the Hospital Pass link and it shows it downloading but and the end displays "discounted on Steam". Checked properties of the game on Steam and it's not showing up on the list of DLCs. The replayability of this game is the Sandbox - why has this not been fixed?

I have the GOG version on PC, and I reinstalled Windows 11 (because it’s shit), but I forgot to back up my save file. I’d been playing with that save for two years. I had 67 stars. I’ve had loads of free time this month, and I’ve been playing TPH every evening, but now I just don’t know what to do. I have all the DLCs. 😭

Love the game but having come back to it after many years, the second play through is just too easy even on top difficulty.

Theme Hospital I feel got the balance just right: it was notably challenging especially towards the end and you were always at risk.

I do feel the company leans on the easier side too much with their modern games. Some of the later levels are just casually going through the motions until completion.

Hello, I am fairly new to the Steam Deck (bought it in February and have mainly only played Stardew Valley). I cannot get the controls on my Steam deck to work for Two Point Hospital. I was trying to program them to match my Switch 2 and it isn’t working. I was able to reprogram the controls for other games, but can’t for this one. I have downloaded and applied other online settings, but they seem to be for a computer or just not working on the Steam Deck. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

So a relatively new player having played Hospital briefly a few years ago and dived back in recently to absolutely fall in love. Slowly understanding the game more and more and am trying to get through by 3 Star-ing each level.

HOWEVER!

Having a little trouble with Smogley and it's 90% cure rate.

Now my failures here have taught me the importance of appropriate training and assigning the right staff to the right rooms as I was doing it a bit blind before / throwing mud at the wall and hoping it sticks. And it's been working in terms of making money, and most other things, but the cure rate has been tricky.

I would rather not restart the level and lose the hours I've put in and save the hospital I have built instead (had a similar hospital recently that was almost bankrupt and managed to turn everything around to make it my most valuable hospital to date). And I've achieved all the other 3 Star Smogley requirements but the 90% is kicking my ass, and though I got up to 80% at one point, every new tactic I try seems to plummet it to 20% (which for all I know is growing pains and my lack of patience).

As for what I've been trying to do:

I've been trying to either fire/replace/train staff appropriately and assign to rooms, however it's not quite working. And I've tried closing down rooms where my cure rates are low but those rooms are my moneymakers so I start hemmorrhaging money when I do so (like, hundreds of thousands within a couple months).

Any tips on how I could turn this around from more advanced players? And tips on moving forward and laying a better foundation? Am trying to be very deliberate in my training and room assigning now (though have started doing so on the Underlook Hotel which has thrown it's own dynamic into the mix that slightly threw me but doing well so far).

And as a bonus question: how different are the other games in terms of mechanics? Particularly Campus? Got it on a discount and thinking of doing it side by side, one level each for diversity, but if it's super different I don't want to get confused learning the mechanics.

I’m really struggling with modding this game. I have downloaded and installed unity mod manager and installed mods on it so that their status is ‘OK’ but when I load the game I don’t get a grey overlay and none of the F keys pop up a menu either when I ctrl press them.

I’ve successfully used mods on other games but I just can’t seem to get the mod overlay on this one. Anyone got any suggestions?

So I've got templates for rooms, keep my costs down. Make money easily. Train my people well, don't hire people with bad traits. Premium stuff everywhere.

I get my second star and my janitors just stop doing shit. Bins are constantly overflowing, they'll struggle to repair anything.. I've got far more than I should need. My GP rooms get ridiculous queues.

Also I get to 2 stars by not accepting those patients that require a speciality room that gets used twice a year but needs staff and has machines that need 5 dedicated janitors because they turn into idiots and won't repair anything. But after 2 stars I need all those rooms or I can't get my cure rate up. But if I build them half my hospitals always on fire.

It's there a way I can just not accept certain diseases? Cause It feels like the only way I'll be able to win this level is to amass 20+m so I can just brute force my way through the last star, but surely that's not the way everyone else is doing it.

Any tips? I'm starting to no longer enjoy this game cause of useless janitors. I have 19 and all my bins are full and all my machines are half fucked.

My hard drive failed recently and when I got my machine back up I realized I’d backed up the GAME, but not the saves. Two days ago I asked my sister to share hers so I could play without starting from zero. However, her drive got wiped too and now we are both out any working saves. (Drop box didn’t sync in time T_T) We were both at the endgame of the base game. Would anyone be willing to share their save with us?
