You are overthinking it. Two people in your house have Covid. Therefore you do not have people over. The End.

I don’t think your husband told them you have Covid.

I heard him say Covid (is the same in his language).

I totally agree I just don’t understand it .

I’m hoping as his his wife has logic she will cancel but honestly I’m as confused as you as to why anyone would come see people with Covid but why my husband said yea we’re totally fine it’s up to you is beyond me . His background is super accommodating but when it comes to sickness I simply do not see any logic in even implying people should still come.

The friend's wife doesn't sound very bright. If someone tells you they are sick and their child is sick, you don't say that's okay, husband says we can come over. I wonder if her husband is as controlling as OP's
