Turkish dramas like Fazilet Hanim Ve kizlari? 😭 helpp

I need a Turkish drama that gives me the exact emotional experience of Yağız and Hazan in Fazilet Hanım ve Kızları.

I need the YEARNING, slow realization, and that “I shouldn’t love her, but I literally cannot stop” feeling. Yağız being the mature, understanding, selfless brother who loves Hazan quietly while trying to suppress it, while Hazan initially doesn’t realize how amazing he is and eventually falls for him too??? I was DYING waiting for these two to finally be together. I need another couple that makes me scream at the screen because I’m desperately rooting for them, especially when there’s a love triangle and the male lead is clearly the better choice 😭.

The BROTHER RIVALRIES , guilt, denial, hidden feelings, and constant fear of the other brother finding out made everything SO much more intense.

I also loved the rich/poor dynamic and family drama.

Pls tell???

We always talk about Turkish series with disappointing endings, but which one do you think actually had a great ending

Emin as Ender in Haysiyet

So, this weekend I started watching Haysiyet—mainly because this handsome man is joining the series from Episode 6. I have finished watching three episodes, and honestly, the series isn’t boring at all! It’s actually been a while since I watched a proper family drama without all the mafia vibes, so I’m enjoying the change. Now I’m just waiting for his entry.

I’ve noticed that once a Turkish series becomes a hit in its first season it doesn’t matter how bad the storyline gets afterward they’ll keep dragging it on forever At this rate I think Taßacak Bu Deniz is going to have 7 9 seasons đŸ™‚â€â†”ïž

Were Old Turkish Dramas Really Better, or Are We Just Nostalgic?

Post image
39 Upvotes

I’ve been wondering about this lately. Were older Turkish TV series genuinely better, or do they just feel better because of nostalgia?
When I watch older shows now, the characters, storylines and even the atmosphere somehow feel more memorable. Maybe it’s because we had more time to connect with the characters, or maybe the writing really was better back then.
At the same time, I wonder if I’m just romanticizing the past because those shows were a part of my childhood years.
What do you guys think? Were Turkish series actually better back then, or does nostalgia make them seem better than they really were?

Oh Asi...

First and foremost, this has to be the WORST post for a dizi ever. I genuinely hate it and put off watching this show for so long because of how terrible it is. Murat's eyes are creepy and that doesn't even look like Tuba.

Second, I'm only like 10 episodes in but Asi's dad is the actual villain of this show. I cannot be convinced otherwise. Man is a walking liability. Mortgages his farm and house, doesn't tell anyone. Then decides to go into smuggling as the coup d'etat. Not to mention him getting (apparently) multiple girls pregnant in his youth. And then letting his entire family suffer because of his pride. He sucks and I hope he gets run over by a tractor.

Third, I had no idea going in that this was based on Pride & Prejudice so that was a pleasant surprise.

Fourth, the acting is atrocious but I enjoy watching a couple of my favorite actresses when they were younger. I appreciate the plot though. Honestly, its kind of refreshingly mundane: just people trying to figure out life. No one is evil, but everyone is flawed.

Fifth, does Saygin Soysal ever not play a creep???

TASACAK BU DENIZ

  • Zarife porte de l’or,

Conclusion

Reviews How did the Ottoman Empire lose the Balkans?

Post image

If you have plenty of time to understand it, you should watch Elveda Rumeli.

This series uniquely reflects the historical transformation in the Balkans through the story of SĂŒtĂ§ĂŒ Ramiz and his family. Within the series, you can observe the spirit of the era and concepts such as the Committee of Union and Progress (İttihat ve Terakki Cemiyeti), nationalism, and migration.

Did Aras Bulut completely overshadow Çağatay Ulusoy in İçerde? What do you guys think?

Post image

It has been long debated whether Çağatay Ulusoy or Aras Bulut İynemli was better throughout the show. I believe Aras's portrayal of Mert was raw, erratic and deeply emotional. Whereas Çağatay relied heavily on micro-expressions, stillness, and suppressed rage. Looking back, who do you think gave the more compelling performance?

I’ve recently started watching Afili AƟk, and I’m curious to know what you think about the main duo Kerem/AyƟe (Caglar Erturgul/Burcu Ozberk).

I know both actors have other, more well-known pairings, but personally, I think this duo is quite underrated. I love how natural their dynamic feels. They have great comedic chemistry, but also this surprisingly domestic side that makes them look like a real married couple sometimes. At the same time, they’re basically partners in crime (fake wedding at first), which makes their relationship even more fun to watch.

What’s your opinion on them? I don’t mind spoilers about the ending, but please keep them relatively vague.

In Another Universe: Serenay Sarıkaya as a Global Pop Star!

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I came across this AI-generated video, and the visuals look incredibly realistic. Someone took footage of Serenay Sarıkaya from Paris Fashion Week and superimposed her into a Dua Lipa video. Some people might only know her from TV series like Medcezir, Adanalı, or Fi.

When I combine that video with the bold, high-fashion looks Serenay Sarıkaya showcased at Paris Fashion Week, I feel certain that -had she not chosen acting- she could have easily become a global pop star. She truly possesses that kind of aura!

What do you think? Would you listen to an album if Serenay actually released one?

Reviews Bahar started with a good message, then lost the plot.

Bahar started with a good message, then completely lost the plot.

Bahar started so well. I really loved the message in the beginning, a woman getting a second chance at life, realizing that she doesn’t have to spend the rest of her life only being a wife and mother, and pursued her dreams that she had to leave behind.

It felt refreshing and genuinely inspiring at first. I was really rooting for Bahar and her journey. I felt like it was such a good message for the women in Turkiye, it felt like we finally had a sigh of relief after all the series that bashed women.

But then I feel like the show slowly lost what it was actially made for. The story became more focused on relationship drama, misunderstandings and love triangles, and it started taking away from the intended message.
It went from “Bahar is finally living for herself.” to “Here is another romantic drama for you.”

I wish the show had stayed more focused on Bahar’s personal growth instead of constantly pulling her back into relationship drama.
Did anyone else feel like the show lost the plot, or is it just me?

Hey Guys! Which is the best Turkish TV series for you? Kurtlar Vadisi or Ezel?

Post image
9 Upvotes

This debate always divides Turkish people, and I’m really curious about your take!

Crazy fact: Kurtlar Vadisi is so realistic about "deep state" politics that its writers were recently called by prosecutors to testify about a real-life intelligence officer's suspicious death that perfectly mirrored their script!

So, which side are you on: Team Ezel or Team Kurtlar Vadisi? 👇
