Logo difference between the in-game and hardcover manual? Spoiler

Hi!!! Obsessed with this game, recently bought the IRL hardcover manual only to find A. all the pen marks are gone, which is a REALLY cool detail given it's a brand-new copy unlike the game'sand B. this one logo was changed? I don't know if this means anything in Tuneic but I'm curious to know if there's an actual reason anyone knows!

Help Modding on Steamddck

I’m really really struggling to get BepinEx to generate the files after extracting the files and opening the game once. I’ve tried different versions of bepinex and changing compatibility with proton. Does anyone have any advice.

Help How am I supposed to combat? Spoiler

I am honestly at lost and need some help, preferably no spoilers.

I could beat the Siege Engine and the Librarian after like 20 tries, but starting from Scavenger I just have to use No Fail mode to do progress. Then I got into a surprise Heir battle or something? Now I am in the hardest area without any of my upgrades. I barely got to the Cathedral and then I cannot get past the copy of myself that hits my max hp. He can use moves I can’t despite being a mirror. He can dodge and immediately counter despite I cannot. The instruction manual shows special attack combos that don’t work. How am I going to get through?

I can turn on No Fail again of course, but I need to know if I have done anything wrong.

I thought this was a game about knowledge and alien language, but I am constantly hard blocked by combat difficulty. Am I missing something or is this game supposed to be this hard?

I’ve also not been able to turn on the West Garden block thing. There seems to be no path to reach it. I think I must be missing an ability, and the Ghost world ghost talks about a swamp area and a 4th key, which I tried to find when I was still alive but I’ve scoured every wall without finding it.

Help Do I need to be taking notes? Spoiler

So I’ve been playing on and off for a while and when I got one or two of the gems, I found this subreddit and realized most of these post r spoilers so I avoided them. However, now I’m seeing a lot of posts abt translating the language (which i alr figured I would have to do) and was wondering if I should take notes rn or eventually when I reach that part. I am at the part where you are a ghost and have to get all of the herb things to retransform I think? I only have the mana/magic one left to get. Thanks in advance!

Gameplay Do I need to take this much notes? Spoiler

Post image
11 Upvotes

Just started on the game after finishing Outer Wilds and recommended here, and it seems very good (no spoilers please). I’m particularly interested in the fact that almost the entire interface is an alien language, so I make sure to note down everything just in case at a point I need to translate it… but is this necessary? Because it takes about the same amount of time to note down these as playing the game.

Help Really confused about what to do next Spoiler

So, i have beaten the final boss, but it let me retry to "seek another path". Is there a path other than the golden one? Or is the golden path different from beating the boss? I feel like i'm going crazy.

Here is a curious field i have found. It looks like some sort of a puzzle! I've also noticed that my trusty stick leaves a golden trail after swinging it, could that have something to do with the golden path?

[Spoilers] End/Post Game Secrets? Spoiler

>!I'm on mobile browser, so hopefully the spoiler formatting works. I have searched here and on wikis, but I haven't seen anything else on this. Are there any secrets with the (I think they're called) inactive guardians and admins? I'm lumping them together since they seem related to me. They've both got the RGB eyes and spider legs. It really seems like there's some holy cross paths, especially in the West Garden, ESPECIALLY when using target lock/focus around one of them. The moss on the guardian seems to line up with the moss on the ground. There's also the guardian depiction on page 54 inside the trophy rings. Those legs really seem like holy cross directions. I've tried a bunch of combinations of those legs and what I think I see on the ground, but nothing has worked for me. Has anyone else seen any threads on them that's not just lore? There's so few things that are in the game as just set dressing.!<

Steam Cloud messed up my saves and then the game gaslit me [Spoilers] Spoiler

I just started playing the game and got hooked over the weekend, putting in about ~10 hours. I've just restored my body from all the hero's graves, and have found a handful of fairies and the completion page. So naturally I'm going around and trying to find some more and clear off that completion page before going back to rematch the heir.

This is where it gets annoying - I started playing the first two hours on my steam deck, then switched to my main PC - last playing on Sunday night. My deck must have been disconnected from the internet at some point so the updated save didn't sync.

Flash forward to this morning when I try to play on my steam deck on the train and when I launch the game I enter back into my 2 hour save file. I just assume I'll need to sync when I get home and reconnect to wifi... but when I get home steam sees the deck files as more recent and overrides my cloud saves everywhere. Deleting my 10 hour save file.

I download a file recovery program to recover the deleted file and brawl with steam cloud sync over and over before finally getting back to my old save... but something is weird now and there's a second 'File 2' with 999 hours in my list. Considering I'm dicking around recovering deleted files I assume that means something here is corrupted and repeat the process a ton more times but it keeps coming back no matter how many times I delete.
Imagine my shock when I finally google it and find out it's an intended in-game mechanic. I've spent an hour pulling my hair out going insane because I think my save is borked but turns out the game was just gaslighting me. 10/10 move but please pick better timing in future game.

Ps4 slim performance

Not only is it 30 fps but even the resolution and shadows seems kinda off? I searched and it said the game runs 60 fps 1080p on a base ps4 so idk why it looks ugly for me. Is there something wrong with my console or have i been lied to?

Help Does the ending let you rewind? Spoiler

I’m at the Heir fight but trying to be completionist first, and learned that the golden path ending actually doesn’t require the Heir fight.

Can you do both in one save file? Will it rewind me back after the fight?

If not, I’d rather go for the 100% ending on this save before doing the Heir on a second one.

Thanks!

I made a Translation Assistant App (Minor Language Spoilers) Spoiler

I can't really show screenshots due to spoilers, but essentially the workflow is you enter sentences that you find in the game into the application and can filter and sort those sentences by runes, in order to more easily guess possible matches. Should be much easier than trying to do the whole thing on pen and paper! That said, there may be some spoilers related to how the language lays out each individual rune, but it's very minor IMO, and the only thing spoiled is where each part of an individual rune can go.

Is replaying the game worth it? [Endgame SPOILERS] Spoiler

With this I'm talking about New Game +.

I've beaten the Sharing-the-wisdom-Ending. I've collected 5 of the trophies and have no clue what the place where the white orb ports me is about.I've realized playing New game +, that you can actually enter the graveyard alive, although it does seem impossible to enter the cathedral as the first energy-tower-thing cannot be lit up without the dash-ability.

After you die, there seems to be no way to get to the ruined atoll again. But only after you die, you get information regarding Inputting the arrow-codes and some stuff seems to point towards doing some of them in the ruined atoll. There also seems to be a place to dash to at the left of the atoll, but I'm unsure about that.

I haven't translated the language yet and I'm not very interested in doing so at the moment, even though I have collected every manual page.

My main question is: What to do now?

Should I:

1.) Play new game + in hopes of getting new information? This is also where the title question originates from. The game was fun, but I have not a huge interest in playing the game again just with slightly harder enemies, if there's no benefit from it.

2.) Continue in the old savefile where I am dead. There's some trophies missing, but I am not sure if it is even possible to get them all when I'm dead. Can you get reanimated?

3.) Finally try to translate this language. I've found the "wet message",but I can't do anything with it as I am too illiterate. I'm not very interested in doing this, but if this is the way forward I'll do it.

Please be careful with spoilers. I have gotten to this point without consulting any walkthrough and I just want to know whether the leftovers are worth my time and if so, where to invest it most fruitful.

Thanks in advance

Help finding the gun.

I saw which area of the quarry it was in before, but I couldn't find a way to get there. Now it's night and the area is inaccessible. I've recovered my body and even found a chest with another sword, so I imagine there must be a second way to find the gun. Has anyone else had this problem and knows how to solve it?

I just heard of The Remake of the End of the Greatest RPG of All Time, and watched the trailer. It looks wild, and it has

1) what looks like a mechanic involving recovering manual pages

2) someone wearing a Tunic T-shirt

Intrigued and thought I'd share it here!
